*Grumble* Move wands are sold out everywhere. I sat on hold waiting to ask my local TRU if they had any and got hung up on twice. So I drove out to see and they said they sold their last one before I got there and that all other stores in the area were sold out.
I'm having alot of internal struggle over the purchase of a DSi that's on sale for $127 at Target that I don't need when I barely play the Lite or XL I have now.
Reposting this from the pickup thread because I thought it was a neat experience.
So I dropped by Best Buy last night, fully intending to walk out with Kirby's Epic Yarn, Sonic Colors, and the free $30 gift card that it would have come with, per the sale.
But when I was there I couldn't find any copies of Sonic Colors...but wait, what's that over there in the DS section? The last DSi? The last WHITE DSi? I'll take this as a sign.
So after about a half-hour of carrying the thing around the store and trying to decide, I finally went up to the counter (Also with a copy of Super Mario All-Stars) and checked out.
I handed the cashier the Target ad, which listed the DSi at $127, so after double-checking the price with her supervisor, she punched it into the computer and rang me up.
However, after doing this, the computer prompted her that I was also eligible for a $30 gift card. "That's cool." I proclaim. I also had a $10 Reward Zone Certificate, so after all was said and done, and considering the value of the gift card, I walked out with a brand new DSi for $90.
Glad I stopped by. On top of that, a friend of mine does the big brothers big sisters thing so I'm gonna give my DS Lite and a few DS games that I don't play much anymore to her "little brother" as he's wanted one for some time. I'd rather give the thing to someone that'll enjoy it and appreciate it rather than sell or trade the thing to some faceless corporation or stranger.
Kinda wish I had waited, but normally Nintendo's games don't get firesales like this so close to release...but then again, Other M had a bit more of a backlash than most of Nintendo's other games. :P

I'm also guessing it didn't sell as much as Nintendo was expecting, even though it didn't sell badly.
After reading cloudeagle's comment on it and then that rather in-depth plot analysis that was linked in the Metroid thread, I really, really enjoy the story as well

Yup, I really enjoyed the story for what it was, and don't agree with much of the hate the story gets.
The game has a few things that drive me crazy, but overall, pretty awesome stuff. And sticking the barrel of your arm cannon down a monster's throat and blowing him up from the inside never gets old. :P
That's a damn steal, expected of Ubisoft (I think they did the same deal last year for AC2). I knew I shouldn't have used my 30 dollar credit during the Black Friday sale when the game was 40 bucks.

Really tempted to go for AC: Brotherhood today. Last year I took advantage of that deal they had for AC2 and did not regret it. However, this time is a bit different, what with WoW: Cataclysm having been released, as well as my purchasing of way too many other games. Hmm.
Looks like today is a video game gold box deal day on Amazon. The day-long deal will be Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, for $38.

I caved and bought AC: Brotherhood.
You know what I'd like? A wired 360 controller. My fiancee needs one for her PC, and it would make for a good Xmas present. Maybe one will go on sale somewhere soon.

Also, the speakers seem a lot better. Maybe it's just me, but I can CRANK my DSiXL and really irritate everyone else in the room.
That big honkin stylus it comes with is pretty silly though. I guess it's more for people that have a problem gripping the small one.

Well don't forget that the screen resolution is exactly the same, just blown up so a lot of games look awful on the XL.
Me too, but I've been waiting for Dead Space to be $10 foreeeeeeeeeever. Now I can play it again in the dark with a proper 5.1 sound system. 8-)
