Becuase unless someone does something dumb like CALL THEM AND TELL THEM ABOUT IT it can fall through the cracks and get fully processed before they realize it.

If a cashier gives buy something for $8 and pay with a $20, do you tell the cashier when he gives you a $20 and two $1s?

People really thought they wouldn't notice a massive spike in sales and determine the cause on their own
I know it's possible they wouldn't. This is an internet company probably running most of it's services out of the country. I deal with those all day and their level of competence is poor at best.

I must have misread you. When you were complaining about someone telling them and hoping for the orders to "falling through the cracks", it sure sounded like you were aware that they OBVIOUSLY made a mistake and were hoping to take advantage of them for the error.

I do notice they've had some hits on the BBB for not honoring advertised prices; that seems a little extreme. I wonder what the actual law is for honoring ad prices if there even is one.

They experienced a glitch that miss-priced items. They weren't intentionally on sale at those prices.
