Has anybody done the lv30 staff quest, #71? It's to kill a stenchurion with Deliverance. But the quest text says it has to be from the seas north of Gleeba, and not the ones that roam outside Gittingham. Well, I've fought about a hundred battles on the strip of sea north of Gleeba, and all I'm fighting are mobs from around the Bloomingdale/Gleeba area. I hightly doubt buried in the encounter list is a mob that's 5 dungeons ahead. So I have no idea where to go, or if I'm in the right area to begin with. Anybody here done it and know what's up?

I remember going through a large number of battles - dozens - before encountering the Stenchurion, but it was definitely in that strip of sea, and it was definitely a Stenchurion. So, you're doing it right... stick with it!

There are Stenchurions in a graveyard-like area to the northwest of Gleeba, directly north of Slurry Quay. I think you have to float around in the seas nearby that area, near the rocks that surround it. I got most of my encounters there.
My kingdom for some fresh water and flurry feathers!
Flurry Feathers are found at a gather point north of Bloomingdale. Cross the bridge that heads to the Bad Cave, then head west. Fresh Water can be found in two places, near waterfalls in both instances. Go Northeast of Slurry Quay to the base of the Waterfall for the first one, and head to the top of the waterfall near Batsureg, just southwest of the lake at the top of the waterfall.
It's easier, however, to steal them. Just learn Half-Inch on all four of your characters, load up on Deftness gear, and keep stealing until you get it. Cheeky Tikis in Gerzuun have Fresh Water as a common item, and Weaken Beacons have Flurry Feathers as a common item in the Bad Cave.
Im leveling up in Brigadoom right now before I go fight Morag. I'm running with a party of the main character (minstrel), a warrior, a mage, and a priest. Is that a good party setup, or should I change it up?
I'm planning on making the warrior a Paladin later when I can, and switching between Minstrel and Thief for the main character.

Ha, I just got the Starlight back and got the First Completion Reconds, I got Exterminator, because of either my high number of battles (well over 3000) or because I currently have 73% of the defeated monster list.
Alright so do you guys have any tips on finishing the quest where you have to psyche up until max and kill a slime? For the past hour I have been trying but they either run, or combine to form a slime stack.

- Use both Egg On and Psyche Up.
- Fight the slimes outside Bloomingdale. They won't combine until there are eight of them.
- I think someone earlier in the thread suggested putting them to sleep.

Egg On + Psyche Up
Sleep and/or War Cry from the other two.

I just used the ones outside Angel Falls (who won't ever combine to make anything); War Cry every round while the MC eggs on another character who is psyching themselves up. You can get the minstrel quest at the same time, if you haven't already.
Don't worry about party setups, as long as you have someone who can heal decently. Having someone who can cast Zing (Priest, Ranger, or Sage, maybe Minstrel) is nice, but not absolutely necessary. I managed to beat the last few dungeons of the story, including the final boss, with no ability to resurrect party members.
In the endgame, you'll just have everyone being everything anyway.
Do them if you can, as you feel led. Some of them will give you items/recipes that are useful early, but much less exciting later.
Right, if you do them now you'll end up with equipment that is current or better and it's usually on your way. Later on it's just globetrotting busy work that will drive you mad.
Until really late in the game anyway most of the quests you find around towns and such will be completable either right away, or shortly after you get them. However by the end-game the quests you'll get will probably require you to get to the last areas. Like one quest in particular requires thee enemies, two of which show up very early on and the third which shows up in the last dungeon. You get that quest about.... three dungeons before the end? Also it's pretty likely that most level 40 class quests and 100 weapon quests will require you to be in the end-game.
So now that I have boots and pants to go along with my mask, I have to wonder if there's a complete thug cosplay set.
...although DQVC did offer me a (second) Muscle Belt(?), which is sort of what the "Thug" characters wear on their torsos.
Hmm, second? I never got a first, though I already had the mask. Was it from a quest or something? I'd like to not pay 15000 for the shirt, if I can.
All of DQVC's prices are the vendor sell price. You can always buy it, and if you decide later on you don't want it, just sell it and get your money back.

The items haven't been spawning unfortunately. I've been using this map, but in the past few days of playing I've only gotten two or three items from each location.
I'm trying to make the Blustery Bow, but the game is just not cooperating.
I will definitely try to steal the items, but unfortunately I haven't made it to Gerzuun yet. Thanks.
I think I've finally figured out a good method for getting items to spawn, actually. It's not about time passing while the system is off. In fact I'm pretty sure everything despawns when you turn the system off.
Basically if you play for an hour and a half, two hours, most things will be spawned and you can run around and collect them. Rarer items seem to alternate loosely on this schedule - first you'll be able to get evencloth, the next time lava lumps. You can do this every couple of hours in the same session.
I will definitely try to steal the items, but unfortunately I haven't made it to Gerzuun yet. Thanks.
Gerzuun is the cave that is northeast of Batsureg. If you have the boat (you've been farming near Bloomingdale, so you should be close to getting the boat), you can make it to Gerzuun. You will have to progress with the Batsureg story a bit in order unlock the front doors, I think, and then it's Cheeky Tiki time.
As far as world gather point respawns, there seems to be a full world respawn every time I clear a Grotto. It may be two Grottos for the more expensive gather items.

In that case I am a liar. I must have missed the name.
The item spawn thing is really odd. Once while trying to farm fresh water I zoomed to Slurry Quay, ran up to the waterfall where nothing was there, zoomed to Batsureg, checked that waterfall and found one or two fresh waters, then on a whim zoomed back to Slurry Quay, and two fresh waters were suddenly there.
I haven't seen fresh water at either location since. Most of it has been on DQVC.
Just curious, am I the only person here who logs into their router and changes it to WEP every day for just long enough to update their store?

Doing the ranger quest. How do I stop the stupid things from casting Midheal on themselves and each other? None of my people so far has learned any sort of silence spell.

One of the early wand skills is a silence skill. Sleep and War Cry are also options.

You've probably learned a disable or two, though. Spam those.

Oh I forgot Wand Antimagic. Good call, thanks for reminding me. My Mage has it.
Yeah, my MC went ranger as primary for her first max level class. (Still haven't brought up a second to level 99; I am assuming that if I revocate ranger before bringing up another, my new grotto generation will go to pot.)

I got lucky on the Ranger quest, my attacker did just enough damage with a single swipe to leave the Hocus Chimera with about 10 hp. Warcry / Pratfall / Sleep kept them in line while the poison did its job.
When should I start seeing the quests to unlock Luminary / Paladin / Sage?
Also, is the Armamentalist worth it? I haven't even seen a metal slime yet, how the fuck am I supposed to kill them after using Wizard Ward? For that matter, where are scarewolves?
Also while I'm in here posting silly questions, by what level can I expect to have 100 skillpoints? It don't feel right revocating if I have an unfinished skill tree.
Your next unlock will be Paladin, around when you start seeing a lot of sand. Sage is right before the last couple of dungeons, and Luminary is postgame.
A lot of people think Armamentalists aren't that great, but their fource skill can give a pretty big boost in damage if you do it right. Metal slimes have a rare chance of appearing in Quarantomb, the place where you fought the Ragin' Contagion. Scarewolves can be found north of Bloomingdale, outside the cave.
I believe you get 100 skillpoints from 1-38, then another 100 from 39-99.
I will definitely try to steal the items, but unfortunately I haven't made it to Gerzuun yet. Thanks.

It's actually 1 AM, PST.

I still need the gloves and slacks (and boots?), but I have two shirts. DQVC didn't give me any gear today.
