I updated the larger size in the OP and on the mainsite.

[strike]on my macbook, the comic is larger if i follow the link in the newspost, but still small if i use the comic button up top

just a weird bug i thought i would pass along to ya[/strike]

edit: nevermind, you must have been updating it while i was typing that. thanks alpha!

Just want to say that I think Gary and Ben are fucking killing this thing. I am a huge fan of ben's art and this is a real treat to see him take on automata.

Those text bubbles are all over the place. I wasn't sure where to read from once place to another.

Other than that complaint, everything else about this is good.

I would have enjoyed his take on Tycho being a Somnambulrapist as well.

I'm glad I held off on reading it until now. It looks great! It looks like it'll be heading in a direction I wouldn't expect anything on PA to go in, but that's a big part of what makes Automata great, I guess.

    Really looking forward to this!

They could make a series out of it. Published monthly. Just sayin.

Gary wrote the movie the book of Eli. Ben draws dare detectives and did a great wonderwoman story.

I found it a little hard to follow at the small size, but once Alpha bumped it up to high res it seemed to flow a lot better for me.

I liked this one a lot! I'll be honest, I was one of those people didn't care for the Tiny Kitten Teeth take on Lookouts, but this time I think the guest artist really nailed it.

It would seem logical that either the guy and the robotess are either a) the guy's apartment, so he could've pulled the gun from a drawer, closet, etc b) a motel room, and maaaaaaaybe it would be safe to say he didn't get there naked, so he carries it on a holster, on a jacket or in the classical inside-the-pants way.

Just because he's naked on the panel doesn't mean he was always naked

I remember a ton of dudes griping about his Wonder Woman story in Wednesday Comics last year

Of course they were comic book guys so their opinions don't matter much

Very nice comic. I like how the reader is given the little details of the scene up front, and then has to scroll down to piece everything together.

Very cool way for everything to unfold.

and then it's illegible, no laughs.

I don't think this one was much of a laughs comic, anyway. Instead, it does what Automata does, and it does it in its way.

    But the punchline!

Man why is the compression SO bad on today's comic? And I'm talking about the new full-sized image. Is it because of the colors used?

It's really distracting and I think it takes away from the overall awesomeness of the art. I do like how the story develops as you scroll downwards though.

It always takes me a little bit of time to get acclimated to guest comics just because I'm so used to seeing Gabe's art.

I'll add my name to the list of people that found the bubble sequence a bit tough to figure out. Not impossible, but it wasn't a first-pass read-through, either (I'm assuming that goes back to the acclimation period I mentioned). Besides that relatively minor complaint I really like this.
