Oh man, I may have to hop on this week just for that.
Last time I played, I was actually specifically trying to farm HR Los and Uragaan parts.
Think I have everything that uses Agnaktor parts already made and all of the Ancient shard weapons already, but oh well.

I think this will be my first import game, just can't get enough of monsters. I downloaded the demo and it left me hungry for more. I can't wait for late next year.

I barely ever use dung bombs for getting pounced(usually it means free hits for the rest of your team, and as long as they can stagger if you don't take the final hit) except if I get pounced by Jho because ow that hurts.
That might be a proper strategy online, a bit less so when fighting in the offline game. :P

A lot of people have the MHP3rd demo now and I watched some videos.
It's amazing that they managed to basically put MHTri on a PSP.

Elite as in High Rank? That would be HR31. Or elite as in 'can do all quests' that's 51.

NVM, just read the wiki. Bulldrome seems like a very odd choice as far as monsters to bring back goes. I can thing of quite a few that are more loved, and more fun to fight.

I may auto-DC if I'm not paying attention, since I'll be on my laptop while I wait, but that will be the designated meeting point for anyone who wants to hunt with me.

Alright, back on. I may or may not be leaving a little after 7 PM MST, so just keep that in mind.
Also, if everyone participating has Ventrilo installed, it'd be pretty neat if we could use that (I still haven't so much as launched the program since the first night I tried it and couldn't get it to work anyway) though it's certainly not necessary.
tMaddoc: I'm assuming you guys have access to two Wiis, right? Kind of an obvious question, just making sure.
Been reported that content level for P3 will be more than Freedom 2, but less than Unite, which is just about where they are now. While I would love to see them throw everything and the kitchen sink into the game, I'm ok with not having everything.
After all, they'll need to have an ace in the hole for the inevitable Portable 3rd G. :P
edit: Haha, download quests - Pirate Gear returns! (probably import only, "dummied" out for US most likely). Armor, Switch axe, Dual Swords.
The Dual swords, when sheathed form a golden skull wearing a pirate hat on your back.

Y'know, I'm actually kind of dreading getting all my Jho stuff, because once you have it it basically becomes the only viable option if you want to hunt with maximum efficiency.
I mean, as it is, there are only 3-5 sets I use on a regular/ish basis, but still.
And man, that volcano quest gets a lot tougher with only 3 people. :U Of course, the plethora of gems and ancientshards afterward only become that much more delicious with the added challenge.

Finally got Divine Exodus on that last run.
I really like how it's finally a "fixed" version of Eternal Strife, AND Eternal Schisms, all at once, and nicely accounts for the odd shape and features of both weapons.
Speaking of Schisms, I figure that it will be back in MHP3rd, so I wonder if that means there will be a new dual sword Fossil weapon to act as the "dud" for Ancient Shards.
Welp, got my import copy ordered. I cannot wait for my copy to get here. Are we going to be able to use the ps3 adhoc for import copies? Also I don’t speak a lick of Japanese so I am hoping guides come up quickly.

The only swimming monster design they have is for leviathans, and i can't see that movement boding well for a ples. Its just a boring monster, they needed a water wyvern.
Spitting water is probably a silly move when underwater, anyway.
But yeah, nothing in plessy's repertoire above-water would really translate to anything interesting in an underwater fight, short of some tweaking. I guess he can swim fast and can charge you maybe, but that doesn't sound like a very fun fight.

'cause it's not. The game is pretty clear on "Elite Quests" being the ones you take after HR 31.
Anyway, that means I have 9 ranks at the most to earn, probably fewer, if I want to do this mission.
