So I got a buddy key from a friend, deciding I'll see how the game runs before I play it.
Then the client takes about eleven hours to download.
Then an hour and a half to install.
    Then it needs to update.
Then it tells me it doesn't support my graphics card and I should try and update the driver.
Then the driver update takes an hour because Vista decides it should continually reinstall the on board driver and the one I'm trying to install fails time and time again (this part was my fault).
Then the game is down for updates.

God the fuck dammit, this does not bode well I just want to plaaay.

Never update drivers. I got the warning and played on ultra settings fine. =D

Last time I updated my drivers for a game L4D started getting graphical issues.

Yeah, and if you do update drivers... do it from the manufacturer's website, not Windows Update. Windows 7 offered me a NIC and Video driver update a while back...

NIC failed until I rolled it back.
Video was incompatible with something, and had to be rolled back.

I think I understand why they don't have plain medics in multiplayer for Terran. A medic/marine ball is amazingly good. It's cheap and there's nothing that can stand in it's way.

Then again I haven't seen many banelings yet.

wow.. no medics in Multi? That SUCKS.

Yeah, I think that was the first time I updated the driver since I bought the damn thing. Eventually it all worked out and the game plays fine. I'm just too horrible at it.

Plus money is hard to come by. Still, with the five or six friends I know buying it I'll probably be able to survive on buddy keys until I can get my own copy.

Yeah. The Medivac is pretty good in multiplayer. It can also sight for your units, too. But ... you can only get a Medivac from the Starport, and I don't think it heals as much as a medic. It also takes up more supply and it costs more minerals and gas.

When the choice came up I sided with Nova because I had like zlich reason to trust that motherfucker and he seemed crazy. Also he just invited himself onto my ship and into my crew, this ain't Mass Effect buddy go away. But Nova is a Dominion assassin working for my hated enemy, and I didn't trust her either. I ended up going with Nova since Tosh seemed like he would go crazy and turn on me/cause shit at some point anyways, so I might as well get it over with then and there. Anyways, what did you guys do? As far as I'm concerned
Kerrigan can do no wrong because she's so friggin' adorable. When I first played through the Brood War campaign back in the day I thought it was awesome how she fucked everybody over, and all the way through the SC2 countdown I've had a horrible sense of apprehension that she will die in the end. I really don't want her to pay for her innumerable crimes.

    Mid-game spoilers
I went with Nova too. I actually liked talking with Tosh and he had a cool presence on the ship and I hated to see him go. However I wanted to keep with playing the "good" guy this time around. While Nova is with the Dominion, she seemed like generally a good person who wanted to do the right thing.

(also I think she was the Ghost who was meant to be the main character in the cancelled Starcraft: Ghost)

and Tosh lied to you originally as to the purpose of gathering those materials he needed. He is deceptive and a psychopath who would just go on the be a threat in the future or end up killing people.

Jimmy Raynor is for saving lives and protecting people, not helping tyrants and butchering innocents for his personal vendettas.

So to go along with that I sided with Nova, besides, Ghosts seem cooler than Spectres.

That choice was mean. I went with Tosh(.O), even though I really like Nova. But fuck, she is working with the Dominion and isn't even going to bother helping me out. I wish they had finished the damn manga series before this game released so I could at least have some background on Tosh and Nova's relationship...

Yeah, the Bunker and Base upgrades are pretty crazy too. A self-repairing bunker with a turret ontop of it, 2 added marine slots, and longer range? Just one or two of those loaded up with marines and your base is impenetrable by anything short of heavy artillery.
