[edit] Yeah, I've heard a lot of people say that they don't like mushrooms because of the texture. It's never for the taste...btu mushrooms to me seem to have such a harmless texture! Really, things like zucchini...squash...lumps of semi-cooked tomatoes....is one of the only textures I can think of that I really dislike
The head IT VP and my boss came over to ask me specifically what equipment I need.
"There is no limit, ask for what you want" he said, I fainted.
I need your help to come up with a good design setup. Specifically what I'm looking into is my monitor and video card, because color acuracy is one of the issues I struggle with on a daily basis, but all recommendations are welcomed.
I'm looking to give specific suggestions for:
Monitors
Calibrators
Tablets
Video Cards (DVI out and up)
Help me pick out the best!
Edit: PC FOR LIFE!
Well, if there is no limit, obviously you should go big.
Oh man. One of my staples is heating up some olive oil, sauteeing some sliced garlic and crushed red pepper in it awhile, adding some pesto sauce, and then just tossing it with tortellini. So simple and so perfect.

I am far too picky to be a vegetarian. I have never tried salad, tomatoes, spinach, carrots and a lot of other stuff. My parents never forced me to eat things when I was growing up and since then I haven't either.

i was in no way forced to eat vegetables, i just eat them because they taste good
it is absolutely shocking that you haven't tried such basic foodstuffs that are in every meal ever

what the heck man
I know! And I get that response a lot. I just say "well, you see, my palette has yet to mature...yes.. yes..." and then I trail off and walk away.
I might be hanging out with a new friend of mine soon, but she is a vegetarian and was talking about eating spinach wraps, potatoes (I like French fries but never had a baked potato) and other strange things... I don't know what I will do!
Touche, the bat. But whenever I put some strange new food close to my mouth, it sends the gag reflex off. I really feel like it's a mental thing. Especially because I will see things on TV or at a restaurant that I have never thought about trying, but I crave for some reason.
My diet is sooo shitty. For the last couple of weeks I have ate mainly chicken fries, chips, salsa, and Taco Mayo. Come to think of it, maybe that's why I have such little energy during the day?
You've never been in a restaurant where a salad came with the meal?? At a certain point you have to be trying to not come in contact with something as wholly non-exotic as a basic salad, because it's just easier to put the salad that came with the rest of the meal in your mouth than deal with the awkwardness of having it in front of you and treating it like it's a some kind of alien space explosive until a waitress takes it away, untouched.

that will probably be the reason, yes
maybe you should try eating some actual food products
OK, maybe I should just suck it up and push myself to try new foods. I'm sick of getting all my burgers plain and dry. I'm tired of the awkwardness that comes with being picky. I don't want to hate myself in the near future!
Any tips on what I should start with? Uhgg I say all this but changing how I eat will be hard as can be...
What you need to do is find a place where you can order something vegetarian that is delicious to start out with a good impression. Vegetables can be sooooo delicious, and you will learn this.
As far as making things yourself, a lot of them you can eat raw (maybe with a healthy-ish dip or something) so that the only work you need to do is cut it up- like cucumber, carrots, broccoli etc. You can make an easy salad with spinach and feta and baby tomatoes, maybe some chopped nuts. It's easy!
And if you're trying to find things you like, remember that eating something raw and eating something cooked are very different (for instance I don't like cooked broccoli but I love it raw). Experiment! It's fun!
The only thing that sounded good in all that is the chopped nuts. Maybe a tiny bit of salad and a little bit of carrot with some chopped nuts and ...some type of sauce? I've never had ranch dressing but I assume that's the most common?
EDIT: I haven't tried tomatoes since my grandparent's tricked me into it. I thought I was bobbing for apples god damnit.
I eat grape tomatoes like candy. My dad will seriously buy a carton before I come to visit so I can just keep them next to me at the desk and munch on them until they are gone.
I am very enthusiastic about produce.

Is this because you've tried these things before and they didn't taste good to you? Or because you assume you don't /aren't going to like most veggies?

I'm just assuming that I won't like them I guess... My problem with salad is that I would be trying 3+ new food stuffs at once.

1) Order something with vegetables in it, or on it, or around it.
2) Eat that something, along with any available vegetables in its proximity.
The end. This is not difficult. Get a stir-fry or go to Panda Express and get veggies in place of one of your entrees or get one of those grocery store salads in a bag to go along with your meal or at bare minimum just don't take toppings off your burgers. You could go all Whole Foods and buy a bunch of vegetables you don't know what to do with right at this moment, but I'd just recommend getting to the point where you couldn't just get everything you'd normally order off of a kid's menu for fuck's sake.
Or shit, go to Trader Joe's can get a package of dried mango or apricots, both of those basically taste like candy. (Just don't eat too much of either in one go, or you'll get gas.)
This conversation makes me wish I had a Caesar salad right now. With anchovies.
(I wouldn't recommend you starting with anchovies.)
Start really simply. Maybe instead of a mixed salad just have a few lettuce leaves, maybe with a bit of cheese for flavour. See how you go, see if you like it. If not, try a different kind of leaf or a different vegetable. Have a little bit of raw mushroom, then a little bit of cooked, see which you prefer, or if you can stomach either of them. Just push yourself in little bits at a time - if your pallette is that inexperienced you will probably freak it out if you jump in the food deep end, as it were.
Oh man I have not been getting many vegetables in my diet lately, so first thing I did when I was unpacking at my new place was get out my cookware, go to the store to get some broccoli and carrots, and make hella chicken stir fry.
So, basically try that.
This is a weird conversation. I have literally never met an adult who does not eat vegetables. Even the most salt of the earth, meat-and-potatoes folk I have ever met put some sort of greenery with their fried chicken.

This seems like great advice. I wish I could at least order a burger and just eat everything in it.
There is some frozen chicken fries, chips and salsa in the kitchen though. OH, I used to only get the juice of the salsa, but now I eat some of the chunks. Improvement!
You could also try going out to one of those restaurants that serve the dreaded "foreign foods" and have a friend with a broader palette order for you and not tell you what it is until you've put it in your mouth, so you don't have a chance to prejudge it like a petulant child.
I mean, as long as your friend isn't the sort of ass who would order something like poison blowfish or chocolate salo just to fuck with you.

Let us connect over our mutual loathing of mushrooms! A bunch of mushroom hating bros, like bizarro Mario bros.
But I have to admit mushrooms look cool and are fun to draw. Just keep that shit away from my mouf.
I know what Umami is!

How do you make pasta sauce? I just buy mine in a jar from trader joe's. I like alfredo and pesto sauces. Also freezing sauces...that's great.

Bawww, I want to give you an internet hug.
<hug>
If geography weren't a factor, I'd consider a real hug- but if you're full of disease I might just keep my distance, nothin' personal.
