Chu, before you go full veggie do some research on the best type of diet for yourself since I know you are pretty big runner. What works for Arch may not work for you.
arch just drinks a thimbleful of nectar every morning and he's set
vegetarianism kind of makes sense in his case

Well, to be fair, I don't think that "marinara" is a sauce that Italians actually use. It might be an Italian-American invention.
Thus it's kind of hard to make a strict definition of.
vegetarianism is a great lifestyle choice if what you're looking for is obesity and malnutrition at the same time
will this is unscientific malarky
i expected better of a rocket scientist superhero with bitchin' facial hair
wait you're not really going vegetarian are you?
how will you get protein? just like hells of eggs and whey powder or something?
oh come off it will, if you aren't joking you know that this is bullshit, and that there are many other ways to get protein other than just eggs
Why would hella eggs be a bad way of getting protein, though?
I mean, barring the dullness.
eggs are fine. so is whey powder i guess, and greek yogurt and cottage cheese. tofu if you can stand it.
outside of that, the only decent vegetarian sources for protein that i know of are beans, and those are also pretty long on carbs
i thought that chu was doing a low-carb diet while he was losing weight and getting in shape. vegetarianism makes this difficult
i mean i've done low-carb at times (usually in a more extreme frame, like a PSMF) but now that i'm back to a reasonable weight i've been eating a more balanced diet
i had a turkey sandwich on whole wheat for breakfast om nom
wait
turkeys don't grow on a turkey bush you know

Yeah, I'm with Arch on this one. I'm for Slytherin because Hufflepuff means well, but they're kind of naive. Gryffindor gets pissy with me if I don't put in so many volunteer hours with the ickle firsties, Ravenclaw are a bunch of well-read bookworms that will make fantastic mates and study buddies, but boring cohorts.
So, really, Slytherin is the only choice. Green is totally my colour.

That's what Americans do though.
We take a decent Ethnic food and make it fucking amazing.
I dunno Arch most of the really fat people I've ever met were veggies, though that seems like they turned to being a veggie after they got really fat. All the same the veggie didn't seem to do anything to the fat.

In times of old when I was new
And Hogwarts barely started
The Founders of our noble school
Thought never to be parted:
nited by a common goal,
They had the selfsame yearning
To make the world's best magic school
And pass along their learning.
"Together we will build and teach!"
The Four good friends decided
And never did they dream that they
Might someday be divided,
For were there such friends anywhere
As Slytherin and Gryffindor?
Unless it was the second pair
Of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw?
So how could it have gone so wrong?
How could such friendships fail?
Why, I was there and so can tell
The whole sad, sorry tale.
Said Slytherin, "We'll teach just those
Whose ancestry is purest."
Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose
Intelligence is surest."
Said Gryffindor, "We'll teach all those
With brave deeds to their name,"
Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot,
And treat them just the same."
These differences caused little strife
When first they came to light,
For each of the four founders had
A House in which they might
Take only those they wanted, so,
For instance, Slytherin
Took only pure-blood wizards
Of great cunning, just like him,
And only those of sharpest mind
Were taught by Ravenclaw
While the bravest and the boldest
Went to daring Gryffindor,
Good Hufflepuff, she took the rest,
And taught them all she knew,
Thus the Houses and their founders
Retained friendships firm and true.
So Hogwarts worked in harmony
For several happy years,
But the discord crept among us
Feeding on our faults and fears.
The Houses that, like pillars four,
Had once held up our school,
Now turned upon each other and,
Divided, sought to rule.
And for a while it seemed the school
Must meet an early end,
What with dueling and with fighting
And the clash of friend on friend
And at last there came a morning
When old Slytherin departed
And though the fighting then died out
He left us quite downhearted.
And never since the founders four
Were whittled down to three
Have the Houses been united
And they once were meant to be.
And now the Sorting Hat is here
And you all know the score:
I sort you into Houses
Because that is what I'm for,
But this year I'll go further,
Listen closely to my song:
Though condemned I am to split you
Still I worry that it's wrong,
Though I must fulfill my duty
And must quarter every year
Still I wonder whether sorting
May not bring the end I fear.
Oh, know the perils, read the signs,
The warning history shows,
For our Hogwarts is in danger
From external, deadly foes
And we must unite inside her
Or we'll crumble from within
I have told you, I have warned you..
Let the sorting now begin

Isn't eating dairy and eggs still supporting factory farming? OH GOLLY HOLE IN THE PLAN.
And you can get free range meat too, to anticipate the response
that's what i was saying earlier, right now i'm not in the financial position to buy a lot of my own food
so i am waiting until i have a steady source of income before exploring this vegetarian thing
i was never a vegetarian but lived the de facto "lifestyle" for many years because i dated vegetarians. it was pretty miserable and i kind of resent it in retrospect.
also if insulin causes your body to store fat, unless you completely cut off insulin production ENTIRELY (which is a. not possible and b. not healthy) you are still going to store metabolized sugars as fats, just not to the degree you would if you had excess insulin from eating carbs
I am actually with Arch on low carb. I don't fully believe everything that is said about it. I would stick with the moderation is a better idea across the board for such diets. I think Americans are just looking for a way to keep eating tons of food but not to be to fight when you shouldn't just be eating that huge amount of food.

This is my exact reason for not being vegetarian. I can't afford to buy my own meal alternatives. When I was in Uni a few years back, I gave up red meat entirely and ate only chicken or turkey on the rare occasion when there wasn't a decent vegetarian option available. I still ate fish, though. Fish is the one thing that I think I'll have a lot of trouble giving up when that time comes.

Bad for you, but fucking amazing.
best way to counter unscience, i have found
also still not sold on the science of low carb buddy, and I have been doing reading about it pretty frequently
I can get behind the power and green. not so big on snakes, parceltongue.
Also, I'm p. sure Slytherin would let me lead Mori around on a leash all the time.

Yeah, I can see that.
A vegetarian lifestyle is just too much effort for me for how much I care about the issues that come with eating meat.
If I can't reliably emulate the taste and texture of meat with other methods, it's not worth doing.
Still, I respect those who can.

True enough, but I am still open about it.
I will say that I don't buy the ONLY WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT shpeal about it
because that just ain't true
Tex-Mex is notably worse than Mexican.
It's good food, but Mexican food (hecho en Mexico) is fuckawesome.

yep, so far i haven't come across a better compromise for doing what i think is right and what sacrifices i'm willing to make
it certainly isn't an argument for SO FUCK IT, though
well yeah that's not true
if I understand the logic correctly
