The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Was the point to fit in as many clichés as possible? Fade to blacks, bad fighting sound effects, a slow simple beat in the beginning, and way too much slow-motion?
Seriously, someone please count how many times they fade to black in that thing.
The footage which was seen was great though. That was also my MotW. I don't think we really saw him flying or using any weather control of anything though, hopefully that kind of stuff is still in the movie. I'd guess the latter definately is.

JLA #47:
That's right Peter, you go kick ass like an American would, not a Norwegian.
And Detective Comics #867 was good as well, a bit cautious because Hine's work is 50/50 with me, but it was Scott McDaniel with bitchin' art and it read like Dick's version of The Dark Knight film
And Generations Lost #6:
Captain Atom gets pulled into the future where Max Lord screws things up. I mean look:
He took Kara's boobs!
He also broke the moon

It makes me sad to think of Power Girl's lovely form go all old and nasty like that. Which is a horrbly misogynistic thought but I can't help it.
EDIT: Also I expect that I will be retroactively changing my MotW to Thor: The Mighty Avenger because if it is nearly as good as issue one it will be great.
My MotW is getting my Fraction Invincible Iron Man mini-omnibus from Amazon. Holy crap what a nice collection, and I'm not just talking about the content, but the whole hardcover is expertly put together.
Wasn't sure where to ask this, so into a gone in a week thread it goes!
What happened to Spine Art? I remember way back when , altho trades were much less consistent, if you collceted the trades of a certain thing, the Spines when on the shelf would form a Picture, or at least some pattern art, nowadays the closest is alternating spine color.
I hope I'm wrong and that someone can suggest a cool set of trades I can spineart my shelf with ( preferably with a good story too, but seriously ready to grab something just on spine art , cause have a spot it would fit really well )
Yeah the only House of M tie-ins worth reading are the Incredible Hulk one and the World of M compliation trade which has the Pulse and Captain America one-shots.
Go figure, since have most of it in singles , was one of the last crossover's I tried to single build fully rofl.
What was the Spine Art picture? just the House of M symbol?
Not completely finished with my stack, but so far my MotW is from Flash #4. The aerial helicopter rescue was pretty frickin' sweet. Don't have a scan available but maybe someone else can supply one.
Francis Manapul's art is just so perfect for this book. He really knows how to capture motion in his drawings.

But he, along with Bendis, have this problem that the more integral they become to the DC and Marvel Universes, the quality of their books gets lower and lower and they fall into comfortable tropes and become almost parodies of themselves.

Also the Destroyer. How fucking cool is that?

But I might have missed a few.
I really like that Action Comics is just The Mad Science Adventures of Lex Luthor now.

It really is a fun book that makes me not care about the weirdness of the Lois robot.
