So I'm thinking of joining the Navy. I've been considering military service for quite a while now, mainly because they'll pay for my school and, gosh darnit, I wanna help my country out with my service.
I picked the Navy because they have the coolest places to deploy to, including Seattle, and I have a whole fuckin grip of family up in Washington, so, hey. Plus, seeing the world on the Navy's dime while learning a valuable skill sounds pretty boss.

Also yes I realize I'd have to drop like 90 pounds to join but hey it's an excuse and a motivator to hit the gym.

also we had Navy guys on my fob on base security who were in a lot more danger than me so :shrugs:
while it's true in most cases and i'm heading to Saudi Arabi soon, currently I am in the Ukraine and before I was in Holland.
I've also been to France, Belgium, Germany, Moldova, and Romania.

My dad joined the navy for that same reason and he went all over the damn place.

I had a friend in basic and he said the only really bad thing besides fellow trainee jackasses were the french instructors being french all the time
that and the necessity to keep everyone doing nothing for hours on end because whelp we can't send you home until 1500 but we got nothing for you to do
