Where can I find the replay file to upload? I would like to get some feedback from your much better players.

I will throw you on the land and hurl you on the open field. I will let all the birds of the air settle on you and all the beasts of the earth gorge themselves on you. I will spread your flesh on the mountains and fill the valleys with your remains. I will drench the land with your flowing blood all the way to the mountains, and the ravines will be filled with your flesh. - Ezekiel 32: 4-6
Warpgates are automatically hotkeyed to W. Just hit it to check how far along they are.
Wait... WHAT?! Really?
Is this insanely useful kind of automatic hot-key available for Zerg?
no. Warpgates are unique in that there's nothing distinguishing one on one side of the map from one on the other side of the map, which is why they all get one hotkey and other structures don't
Yeah, I get that.. but damn, that's really awesome. I don't care where they are, as Zerg I'd love a hotkey to control all of any of the things that I frequently hotkey together anyways, queens or hatches.
But yes, I see your point. When I used to play Protoss I always hot-keyed all my warpgates to 4, this would have come in very useful. Good to know for when I stop playing Zerg and go back to Protoss because I get sick of losing.
That's a joke.... Kind of.
I was playing 2v2 with my Protoss friend last night, and we were doing pretty well together. He was manufacturing massive death armies and I was expanding, macroing, harrasing etc. In every match he was able to get a bigger army than me. Now a lot of this is because I was losing more units in battle because my units were harrassing etc. But in the game his macro and micro seemed pretty decent. He was a formidable partner and helped us win for sure, in fact I dropped a match 3 minutes in and he won 2v1 against a team with 1 gold ranked Zerg.
Later I watched a couple replays and my APM was averaging around 70. His around 15-20!!!
I found it shocking to see how proficient he was (relative to other players in the 2v2's) with such a low APM. I mean, we have all said APM isn't that important, but less than 20 is like insanely low. Yet he still was able to very effectively expand, build an army, fight, and max at 200 about when it was neccessary.
I've uploaded a replay. I'm in silver league right now and I'm working on zergin' some mans. The match was against a Terran guy who went MMM, then thors. I won this match, and I was curious to see what I did right and what could have been exploited had the opponent been slightly better.
It's 30 real time seconds. Remember things run on "faster"
that makes no sense though.
larvae spawn every 15 secs on normal, 10 on faster.
15 x time.multiplier = 10
t.m = 2/3
sooo 40 x 2/3 = ~27 secs.
Fine 27. It certainly isn't 40. Setting a timer for 30 is gonna serve you pretty well.

What.. what the fuck? 5-0'd my placement matches and got placed into platinum. I sooo don't belong in there haha. I should've thrown a couple of those matches.
Or is plat more like gold in the release version of SC2? I remember silver was pretty challenging sometimes for me in beta, and gold was more or less where I ended up. I hope SC2 is flooded with noobs in every division here..
Same happened for me in 3v3... I played with random team mate each game and went 5-0 somehow, not because I kept getting carried or anything, my team mates were about at my level as well, but the people we played just werent good.
But now in platinum 3v3 I'm not sure its exactly where I should fall in matchups.
In 1v1 I went 4-1 for placement, in gold... seems pretty even though.
I just dont see the need to act that often, especially early game when all I am doing is setting a waypoint every time a probe is made. And perhaps moving my scout around a bit.
Hey, Protoss players. What do you know now that you wish you'd known before you went online? All I've done so far is 3v3/4v4 comp stomps with coworkers, and campaign. I know enough to always be building probes and how many gates a fully saturated expansion can support, but that's about it.
The minute i started improving my macro i started flying through ranks. Macro is everything.

Everyone is familiar with the 2v2 map where you and your buddy share one large elevated space for a base, yeah?
I'm curious what some of you do when one is zerg and the other is not. My buddy plays random and it hasn't come up yet, but I'm wondering if there will be issues for me placing buildings while the creep slowly expands to consume everything.

Which map? The one with the fat ramp that has two destructibles on each side?
As terran the only time I felt like I HAD to wall in was against zerg. I did so against toss as well sometimes.
Also, dont just supply depot wall in, you dont get it done in time without sacrificing some ealry economy. Go for a baracks-supply depot wall in.
Against toss, on a smaller opening you could probably afford the normal, supply depot wall. But 6 pool and the like can only be shut down by a barracks.
Uh, your SCV's are perfectly capable of holding off a 6 pool rush. you just need to micro them. and SCV's do more damage than drones or probes.

Or the one with the medium sized ramp?
Can't remember the name at the moment. No destructibles, medium ramp at the edge of the base. Spawn locations are NW and SE corners of the map.

Ok seriously, the matchmaking seems to be confusing my wins and losses.
Today after I stomped another gold it put me up against a silver. I probably could've ended up winning that without making anything after my first 6 lings.
Those lings, without taking any damage took out the pylon at the choke on Blistering Sands, a probe that was building the expansion, and got the rocks at the back down to about 25%. The only reason I stopped harassing with them was because at that point I had about 20 hydras I could use to mop up.
Oh, and the biggest amount of damage they did was that the guy built about 50 cannons surrounding everything.
Hey, they are sending repears to my base, can you send a few marines over to cover me?
Sure thing!
Thanks
/repears enter my base
Um...I thought I said to help cover?
Well I sent 1 marine.
I want to hate you to death.

Sure I could have defended my base but I thought I had back up while quick expanding.
I love when early reapers run to my worker line and run smack into a spine crawler. I pretty much always build one of those very early now - I seem to do best in the mid game, so my early build is more geared towards making sure I can fend off things long enough to hit my stride.

Thats how I am too. My initial moves are all dedicated towards eliminating a rush. I feel if I can get the game into mid-late stages I have a good shot at winning.
Id say over half my losses came the first day from various possibly dairy-ish rushes.
So, despite not liking Starcraft 1 in the slightest (and doing my damndest to stay neutral about the beta) I appear to have been bit by the SC2 bug. I've played 15 or so 1v1 league matches, and ended up placed in gold - much better than I did in the beta.
I've also discovered that if you just don't care whether you win or lose, things'll usually turn up in your favour.
I also have no build order to speak of beyond training the first 4-5 workers, and I still prefer using the arrow keys to scroll about the map.
I also tend not to use units with abilities because I can't micro worth shit.

I'm just wondering how I became the patron saint of moving up or not. In the past three days now, I've had two plat opponents in Ladder. Maybe only one, that I just finished. And was an awesome ZvZ.
The silver player seemed just unfair though. Couldn't it test them against a couple of golds first? I think golds would've still beaten them. I mean I'm no gosu god of SC2, as evidenced by me getting smacked around in the lobbies like it's nothing, but a silver player who takes about a year to build a void ray because they expanded, didn't saturate, and then built a billion cannons all at once really is a little below my skill level.

I am a freaking nerd.
http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/51258-1v1-terran-protoss-delta-quadrant : Won this game after sending my huge ass army at the other guy, with him surrendering after I broke through his defenses.
http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/51256-1v1-terran-zerg-metalopolis : This was my last placement match, the only one I managed to pull off as a win. According to the other player I only won because he went afk, but whatevs.
http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/51259-1v1-terran-protoss-desert-oasis : This game I lost, and proved to me that you need to scout. Sure, I had a strong force, but not strong enough to bust through that many photon cannons and take on his army.
