I'm sure there's some convoluted math for why you shouldn't but really the best reason is it confuses you and locks you into a move.
that's true
it will be nice for the story mode, at least
Still, Tauros with Thrash and a Choice Band will hurt a lot, and if the user fails to hit (ghosts and stuff), then it will probably let it use another move/change (in the case of a Choice Band).
The top tier HM slaves are Tropius, Golduck, Mew, Skarmory.
Would you really waste a Mew on HM slaving tho? I thought they were pretty good.
I had a legit Arceus as my main HM slave in Platinum *shrug*
You're a terrible person.
Felt pretty good to fly around on the back of God
And use him as a surfboard
I did the same. It was a bit horrifying the first time I thought about it, but since everytime I wanted to use him, he was restricted, banned or I got shenanigans called on me, I just said screw it. Go Godimon! Use Surf!
If someone creates a miracle foolproof medicine that is a cure for the common cold, cancer and loneliness but it has the minor side effects of explosive diarrhea, uncontrollable bleeding from the eyes and murder-fugues, that's not a total 'resounding' success.
Just beat Erika and got the Silph Scope from the game corner hideout. I think it's pretty safe to head into the tower and catch me a Gastly. What levels am I looking at to rock it on up to Sabrina? I know she uses Psychic types, but my Beedrill and Persian will wipe the floor with that entire gym. Also: I seem to remember getting my ass handed to me in the Silph Co. building. When you get up top, the battle with Gary is pretty rough. I usually choose Bulbasaur as my starter, but figured I'd give Squirtle a shot. He's been reliable so far. Level ranges for that building/sabrina? I don't to go in with some lightweights. And, I have OCD, so all my pokemon stay within 1-2 levels of each other.
PS. This new "VS Seeker" thing is pretty nifty. I may just camp the routes between Celadon and Saffron for some easy levels. Lots of normal pokemon out there, which means my Nidoking can double kick his way to level 35+ lol.
Technically Sabrina is supposed to be fought sixth. Crazy I know, but they want you to use the pokemon flute, go down one of the paths or both, fight koga, and double back and do the silph co building as it generally has higher level pokemon.

Sabrina is Sixth? Hah, go figure. Been playing all day. I went down the bridge and caught the Snorlax. Added him to my team, taught him Psychic. He's pretty beastly. By the time I reached the end of the bridge and made it to Fuschia city, my team was nearing all level 35's. I didn't fight Koga, as the first trainer in there threw out a 38 Venomoth and it kinda scared me. So I just did the Safari Zone, got Surf and Strength, found a few scattered bird keepers and got up to 36 across the board.
Just now finished the Silph Co building. The rival fight wasn't too terribly hard. I will admit, the Snorlax made it a breeze. Body Slam was 1-shotting just about anything he threw out lol. Got the Master Ball and now i'm in Sabrina's Gym. I MAY go back to do Koga first, but right now my Beedrill is Twineedle-ing everything in the face here and racking up massive Exp. He'll probably hit 40 before I even get to Sabrina.
Edit: Ran out of PP for Twineedle. Now my Persian is doing all the work with Faint Attack
Edit #2: My team at the end will probably be 6 persians. I love them. They hit hard and they're fas as hell lol.

Choose your words carefully, Persian.
I see what you did there. Clever...
Also, I nickname them to help me remember which element they represent. I usually have a Water persian, electric persian, steel persian, dark persian, etc.. and just teach them the TM's needed to be ready for any fight. Of course...a solid fighting pokemon can rock my world, but the 6 persians are mainly just to be silly.
Also: Go Beedrill. Double crit on Twineedle. Her 43 Alakazam went down like pansy.
Neither have I, but if you look at the relative levels of say Gary in Lavender Town and Koga and Sabrina and Gary in Silph Co you'll notice which way you're "supposed" to go.
I looked it up because i'm a slacker. Got the bike voucher from Vermilion and then snagged the bike from the shop. Also, Koga's down. That wasn't so hard. Bunch of koffings and a weezing. Blaine is next, right? Guess I should do some leveling and work my way up into the low 50's soon.
Fire Red has a magnet train?! I just thought this game was a revamped version of the original red. Most of what i'm going through now is jogging my memory from years and years ago, but I get lost pretty easily.
Ok, so. Just beat Blaine (Go Blastoise!) and got my 7th badge. When I came out of the Gym, Bill was there. He asked me if I wanted to go to some island or something, so I said yes. Now i'm wandering around wondering where the hell to go. Pokemon around here are mid 30's, and the trainers use high 30's, so it's pretty decent experience. Anything special going on here? This is all new to me.
Celio, Bill's buddy, is currently working on the machine. He will explain he
is attempting to connect Hoenn's PC system with Kanto's, but the machine
doesn't have enough power to do so. That's where you come in. You need to
find an alternate power source to activate the machine by finding a Ruby and
Sapphire (har har!) and slapping them into the machine. Of course, they
aren't just going to come to you. We have some 'sploring to do. Bill will
give you a Tri-Pass, allowing you to take the Hydrospeed boat between One,
Two, and Three Islands. He will also give you a Meteorite (more refrence to
Ruby/Sapphire or just a coincidence?) to deliver to a scientist on Two
Island. Finally, Bill hands over a Town Map if you've gone this far in the
game without it. Extra pages containing the Sevii Islands are automatically
added. Coolio.

Ooooh, interesting. Ok, gotcha. Thanks. I know I could go look this stuff up on some other website, but I rarely navigate away from these forums . Also, figured it might be a good idea to get ideas and strategies first-hand from you guys. So I'm guessing after all this is said and done, I get my 8th badge and head off to the Elite Four? Should probably go catch the legendary birds before that. Huge fan of Articuno.
Edit: Whaaa? There's a Moltres at the top of this mountain. I accidentally ran into it. Oh, and to make things worse...I have 5 Great Balls on me. I saved before fighting it, but I can't catch it with just Great Balls. I tried to go to a shop around here, but they only sell Great Balls...FML.
Just in case anybody cares, all of the download missions for Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs are now available.
Also, if any of you live up here in the Washington state area, there are newly opened Pokémon Center kiosks at Alderwood and Tacoma malls. They had Ash's Sinnoh league hat. I bought the last one at Alderwood a couple weeks ago. It is awesome. Also, the employees play. They know their shit. Bring your game. They'll play you.
What with a road trip looming on the horizon, I was thinking I'd try a gimmick run through of HeartGold or Platinum for the trip. I was thinking of a Resident Evil naming scheme and picking out my team beforehand to trade them over as eggs at the start of the game. What I'm trying to say here is that I'd like some Pokemon/naming suggestions. What I've been mulling over so far:
Castform: Jill
Ursaring: Barry (do you get what I'm trying to do here? Oh, how clever I am)
Houndoom: Cerberus
Basically anything holding Black Glasses, but if you have a specific suggestion that would be great: Wesker
Muk: Birkin (if you forgot that he turned into a pulsating vagina blob, well... that's my reasoning)
And then iuno. Maybe Machoke for Chris, to symbolize his new found watermelon biceps. If anyone has better ideas, I'm all ears.

Which Pokemon are available for the main games from them? I missed Darkrai in GR2 and I'm mega pissed about it still.
A Heatran with Eruption, Deoxyses with moves they learn at higher level (they differ depending on the time you take to finish the mission, I think), Darkrai and Manaphy.

Bad natured one from Pokemon Ranch or a clone from emerald, I have quite a few of them laying around somewhere.
yes
You're a terrible person.
Oh, duh. Yeah, I have a bevy of Emerald clones too.

Is there some kind of madness I'm failing to get?
Yes.
The bike shop is in Cerulean.

take the magnet rail from saffron, and look in the eastern part of Goldenrod for the bike shop
what do marshes have to do with psychic powers?

Oh, and just a reminder: Fire Red Version.

I think it may be, but I'm not sure since I don't have any plans to get that game.
I don't think you're right. I think there's a Shaymin but no Darkrai.
