Inking a work of art

I need to find tutorials or books on inking. I have a couple of sketches that I would love to ink (correctly). When I attempt to ink using either photoshop or Opencanvas with a intuos tablet, it looks like it is missing something. I have no understanding of the significance of line weight and other inking techniques so I'm sure that's the problem (or atleast one of them). Plus I don't know if I should ink on paper then scan then clean up (using photoshop or Illustrator?). Really, I am just getting back into art seriously. I don't mind purchasing books or any other materials. Thanks in advance

What's worse than a cold toilet seat? A warm toilet seat. There's only one way short of magic it could have gotten warm. At first, you're almost thankful it's warm, then you get to thinking... this is the result of another person's ass-warmth.
