China Trip - Travel Company Recommendations

So the wife and I are planning a trip to China for either April or September (we heard those are the best times to go to avoid crowds and heat). We have an okay idea of stuff we want to see, and places we want to go, but we'd prefer to have tour guides with us.
What I'm looking for is recommendations for tour companies to go through. There's lots of stuff online, but it's hard to find any external feedback for them. Also, if anyone has any personal experiences with travel agents in the Seattle, WA area, that would be just as helpful.
If it matters, our ideal trip looks something like Bejing->Xi'an->Chengdu->Lhasa->Guilin over the course of 2 weeks or so.
