Running the Haverdasher / Eyegougher's Basement quest on elite is a good way to farm for decent loot. It's quick, only have to kill 11 scorpions. Make sure you have a solid party, though, we ran it with a rogue, cleric and paladin and at least one of us died two out of three times. Having a mage to AOE or another healer would make a world of difference.
Wow I've played a lot of MMOs, but this has got to be one of the worst. Can't argue with free, but I feel bad for people who bought this back in the day. This makes Age of Conan look like a masterpiece haha.
I may have enough patience to stick with it and join you guys. I'm broke, so a free game is a good game. We'll see if I end up having any fun with it.
Fandeathis on
You fuck wit' Die Antwoord, you fuck wit' da army.
What's worst about it? It strikes me as decidedly unworst.
Gross UI, overly complicated, confusing for newbies (and I actually play D&D), very boring graphics, the most generic quests possible, no feeling of impacting the game world, boring enemies (so far), awful voice acting, terrible map, and it's buggy on my computer (running Windows 7).
But it could get better as the game goes on. I am hoping anyway.

I haven't had any of these issues and have never played D&D. Maybe I have different standards. :?

I think it works like this. That cloak part is just an open jacket. The ornate cloth covering her chest is wrapped around and clasped behind her back like a bra while the strip dangling down is just that, free dangling and probably goes to her knees. Then there's a gold chain that probably holds up the flap of clothing you can see on the side of her ass and holds down the front strip a bit.
Also I'm kind of excited for Guild Wars 2 but, decidingly, I hate being chained to a game and not being able to go at my own pace
I realize that you're not, but because you're playing with friends often it's just like oh fuck Esmeralda hit level 10 fuck I'm only level 7 fuck I gotta catch up and I feel like you can't just take it in and absorb the atmosphere which is one of the most fun thing to do in video games for me sometimes
I had a lot of fun in WoW for a long time despite that, though
I made a sorcerer with a nasty dangly braided goatee thing. People say casters are hard for soloing, but after the first 2 quests outside the tutorial I've found soloing instances on hard to be pretty easy, and on normal I don't even have to think much. Granted, those first 2 quests and the tutorial were terribly difficult.
Tip: Get that L1 frost beam spell that deals 1d10 damage per caster level. Add a robe with +1 effective caster level in the mix and you're one-shotting pretty much everything on normal.
Anyway, I'd certainly like to try partying up with others. The only merits I can offer are that I'm not annoying and I think I have a good grasp of the game now. Overheater Bottombeater - Sorcerer
edit: Am I the only one getting weird voicing? When literally anything talks or makes noise, there's an extra metallic "voice" layered over the original that makes everything sound like my secret friend Drucifer who first showed up when I was young right before I killed that nest of puppies.

I know right!
i kept thinking it was a strip of cloth down the middle, but the proportions of it would make it smaller than it actually is
so it's just one side of it isn't there?
That's just my guess.
Then I'm told I need a module.
This is making me consider a subscription, beating up illegal accountants is too promising a venture to take up.

because I'd play again for a month
Yeah. I would probably do this too.
I would feel bad about it, but I would play again for a month if it was free.
yeah, on Elite you get a lot more XP and some pretty nice loot out of it. It's a hell of a lot tougher, but it's a lot of fun.
praise white jesus
Weapon finesse is awesome with gear and enhancements my dex is now at 20 which is a sweet sweet +5 to all my attack rolls.
I have the equipment to do it
stupid ogre belt not stacking with my other strength enchantment
