So yesterday I beat the game, but I think I might be missing something...
The vault...
doesn't really have anything in it other than the Cthulhu wannabe?
I was hoping to get actual weapons or items, if there's nothing in the "vault" then why build it up as a vessel full of awesome when it's actually a hole full of suck?

something about encouraging people to find the vault and kill the monster
you get an actual vault full of goodies in the Secret Armory of General Knoxx

Also as a hilarious joke on the players.
You might not find it that funny now, but wait til you've seen 50 people come in this thread and bitch about it.
Watching new players get all juiced up about the gameplay over the course of a few days, then waiting for the inevitable "WHAT THE FUCK!?!?" post at the end.
So I'm getting horrible crashes I didn't have before. I have Borderlands gobbling close to 3 gigs of memory in the task list and then it crashes, so it feels like there's a huge memory leak somewhere.
I disabled Catalyst AI, but when I just checked it it was enabled again. o_O
I haven't actually been reading any of the quests or paying attention to the story. I've just been going around and shooting things and getting phat lewt.

What version are your drivers? I had 10.7 and the game would freeze from a memory leak every half hour or so. I downgraded to 10.5 and it was peachy. I read they fixed that issue with 10.8 so I upgraded again, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet.

I was crashing all the time. Stopped playing. And then Plants Vs. Zombies updated to GOTY and it crashed on startup. Apparently something's up with the recent catalyst drivers. I rolled back to, I think, 10.5 and both PVZ and Borderlands run fine, no more crashes.
I cannot believe how much ass I'm kicking with Lilith after getting a x4 Incediary SMG. Also, I have a Merc mod that regens my SMG ammo. I've got an explosive SMG (Meh, I know Lilith doesn't get a bonus with it) and a Corrosive that's starting to age. Need to find a replacement and a good shock SMG to get set. Have a nice sniper rifle to round it out.

Originally I didn't see myself playing this much, but I've steadily put in at least 1-2 hours a day since buying it.
Got both a Mordecai and Roland up in the 24-25 range, and both are starting to clear missions in the Rust Commons. Was able to nab a nice Orange Revolver (Bloody Anaconda I want to say) out of a kiosk on my Hunter and picked up a level 19 Gunslinger mod with a +3 Pistol regen, so I'm pouring out hot death and never having to worry about ammo. If only my shield didn't suck so bad.
Roland isn't in as nice a gear yet. Got him a green Corrosive CR, the Blister, a not-so-good shock SMG, and a decent Hyperion pistol. He has an awesome purple shield though, so the lack of firepower is negated somewhat. And got my Scorpio outfitted to level 2 explosive w/ some ammo regen. Seems to be working well thus far, although Mad Mel and Mothrakk were a serious pain in the ass.

Mothrakk is stupid because the quest is around a level 23 but Mothrakk itself is actually 28 or so, so you barely do any damage.
Yeah, I won by abusing my turret.
I'd dance around whenever my turret was on cooldown and he was doing firebreath runs, then once I had the turret ready to go I'd jump and throw it up on the rocks just past the place where the torches are. Apparently rakks don't like explosive damage, as my level 2 explosive Scorpio tore the crap out of him when it was out.

If you move in the same direction as him, you don't take much damage from his attack (if any). Every time I started getting actually hurt, I phasewalked. It was still hard as fuck, though.
After clearing some missions in Rust Commons West, all I have to say is:
Spiderants can suck a dick!
ah, spiderant hell. i miss when that was actually challenging, me and buddies used to run to the far end of there and basically shoot until nothing else spawned. so damn fun.

You can actually hdeout under the little shelter right next to where Sledge's Hideout warp is. Its the one that has a few ammo chests and some lockers. Just take pot shots at Mothrakk and when he heads in your direction head under the shelter.

If you equip a car with a machine gun, target Mothrakk, and just drive straight away from him, he can't hit you and you'll whittle him down.
Plus you won't blow through all your ammo.
Just make sure to turn back around and head the other way by Shep, because if you continue past that gate, Mothrakk will de-aggro and you'll have to chase him down again.
So I decided to reinstall this and give it another go, since I never finished it the first time.
I forgot how much it hurts my eyes to play this game. I feel like I can't see enough...it's hard to describe. I just feel like my area of view should be larger.

They tried to bury us. They didn't know that we were seeds. 2018 Midterms. Get your shit together.
Especially how they straight up just stop introducing people using those sweet little cinematics about a quarter of the way into it
You can tell they were rushing to get it out there after they shifted art styles

I prefer killing thousands of Spiderants instead of the fucking skaggs.
When I'm not standing next to barrels.
Straight-up uninstall it and install RivaTuner for tweaking your video card instead.
There's a section where a claptrap lowers a bridge for you.
Well, I managed to somehow hop my way up the cliff into the town that the bridge would normally grant you access to.
And I was immediately slaughtered by many high-level enemies.

Zombie Island at level 37 wasn't a big hit when you do 10 damage to the level 42 zombies. :P
Edit: Ah. They do have a panel on their upcoming project, however.
We spent all our ammo on that first assassin gank squad. :P
