I wish I could figure out how to get my 30something level hunter going on my PS3 instead of a friends (where he was made)

btw SkutSkut do you want try taking on crawmerax with me? Maybe give me some tips?

If you're on PC add me on steam and we can do craw some time sure, I need to transfer some stuff to a siren I plan on making too.

    http://steamcommunity.com/id/Skuttie

As for tips? I just looked up the exploit vid for craw and still can't kill him and all my loot's been luck lol.

Oh and PC duders anyone wanna do some 61 moxxie?

OH yeah, you're on PC *PALMTOFACE*

I've been considering getting BL for PC as the frame rate on the PS3 is pretty laughable at times, but then I'd have to grind out another character <_< tbh I haven't abused Roland yet. I have watched a friend mince dudes with his rifle and shotgun related talents. It was ace...

also i heard through the grapevine that BL has a lot of nasty bugs on PC? Much truth to that?

If it did they've been smoothed out as I haven't noticed much. I do tend to get the racer stuck in things turbo boosting though. Have also only had it crash once and I was multitasking with it windowed so more my fault.

Ok... so if I go to a local retailer I can get the game for $54 NZ. If I were dumb enough to use steam THE EXACT SAME GAME would cost me $80 US ($110.40 NZ)

Christ, since when did steam become a tool for price gouging?

I really like the game, but 2k that's a DICK MOVE!

Steam is a ripoff if it's not a sale. They cut out all the shipping, materials, etc etc and yet it's the same price. No way is that all from bandwidth costs etc. Stuff like that is just above and beyond bullshit. Not Valve's fault I imagine, but then they do the same thing. Maybe it's just the reality of the economics.

What is the same thing Valve does?

Release games for free? Release 5 games in one box for a normal price?

About the only "bad" things they've done in years is release L4D2 so quickly after L4D without ever getting to EPIII. But they still support L4D just like they said they would so meh.

Valve and other digital distributors pretty much have to do this, or retailers wont carry their product in B&M. Remember when HL2 was released, the publisher sued because the assumed they got a take from all distribution, because they had "sole" rights if I remember correctly. valve did digital distribution themselves for a part of the release, and the publisher got pissy because it ate into their money. (this is where the sandwhich crisper PA comic came from) Now imagine if valve offered the game for 30$ cheaper online:
    A) how is the walmart customer going to feel having to pay 30$ more for the same product because they have shitty internet/dial up?
    B) how is the printer going to feel when noone wants to buy their product, or they can only do a limited run of a product?
    c) how is walmart going to feel when they have to store, ship, make shelf space for a product that people are less likely to buy?

It's not just that first time bandwidth cost either, remember with steam you can go get it over and over on as many pcs as you log onto. I am sure with the demographics they pull in, they have a good idea of how many times/ how often you will re-download the product you purchased.

Sorry about going offtopic. This situation makes me mad too, but its not as cut and dry as people expect.

I'm not sure how those variables reflect what I would pay. The game is cheaper again on the US Steam store.

It was the same with MW2. What did it cost in the states? $60US? I can't remember. It was (is still, I assume) $90US from Steam in NZ monies.

Better in which way? I guess if it's a question of efficiency you just need to figure out how to pump out the most damage at a high rof for longer and longer... :winky:

(WARNING I'm going to ramble a bit now D::mrgreen:)

If my experience of the three stories is anything to go by you will probably gravitate towards the guns you enjoy most, not the ones that are 'better'. This process will be augmented by the skills you have chosen, and preferences can swing around a lot, but in the end the best guns are sometimes too boring (too efficient)

Eventually you'll get really good with the guns you are fondest of, and if you get bored with them you can tailor the difficulty of the experience much to your own liking by abusing your skills and lower grade weapons (which will still have great acc and rof) Some of the 'commons' are also 'rare' in that they have rebounding and/or spinning bullets.

This is such a strange game... I like taking down the giant dead-sea creatures using the tiny repeater given to you by the midget in the Knoxx pack.

The only bug ive hit on PC (about 115 hrs of playtime) is in general knoxx, if i blow up a certain vehicle on the highway it causes my game to crash every friggin time, it doesnt seem to have anything scripted, its not a special vehicle related to any quests, but still damn strange.

Jesus, I have the exact (I mean, everything is the same) same Dahl mod on my Siren. She's currently level 47 and on Playthorugh 2 (I still haven't found another one with an SMG regen, although I did pick up one with a 36% elemental proc chance, +56% SMG Damage and +4,+3,+4 on skills), and I still tear through shit.

Recently picked up my first Hellfire (Level 44 w/ 141 Damage, 91+ Acc, and I want to say around a 9 fire rate) in a lucky chest raid. Made running through Zombie Island PT2 a joke.

Yes indeed, the ZI pack and fire were not good bed pals. To make matters worse I think I found the incendiary saviour during the ZI pack >:D

Also, I am jealous of your Hellfire. I found one just before starting the moxxi pack (112, 82.9, 8.3) but it's missing the barrel extension, and I hate the stubby look (unless the gun spits a silly amount of bullets, of course) I assume yours has a barrel extension?

    @skutskut: I have a newish merc mod

    +54% SMG DMG
    +3 Quicksilver
    +4 Girl Power
    +19 Ammo regen

With the saviour I get +29 ammo regen >:D

Also found a cool thumper, 2x145dmg, 78.9 acc, 2.8 rof, and it has arcing/rebounding bullets

    I played a shotgun/melee siren (well, actually melee/shotgun) through 61. It was a blast.

Striking, Dramatic Entrance, Phoenix, Girl Power. You'll want a Catalyst mod for cooldowns. And bladed shotguns. Then it's basically just; Phasewalk up, gib one guy with your melee attack coming out, plant another guy with a couple of rounds, then blade him to death.

It's the single most frenetic thing I've played in this game, and that's including the "Juggernaut of Death" Brick build. It seriously feels like a Borderlands Vanguard.

Big clips are awesome, especially at lower levels. With the help of some item trading, I managed to get a HMG with Roland to have a bigger clip than could have ammo(I think it was 700, +/- 20).

The worst thing about it was remembering to not hit the reload key every 10 seconds out of habit.

Big clips aren't as good as super fast reload.

I tossed one anarchy with a 80-something clip because it took like a second and a half to reload, compared to my 40-something clip anarchy that reloads in like 1/3 a second.

And scopes on an anarchy are more a nuisance than anything. You're firing a cloud of bullets anyway.
