Alright so me and my friends have been playing this on and off for the year it has been out. We just hit 50 after beating most of playthrough 2 and zombie island. We started up General Knoxx on pt2 and got our asses HANDED to us, as in we could barely even hurt some of the initial enemies that show up in the hub town. We haven't farmed weapons or anything, we're just using the best of what we're finding after questing.
Are we doin' it wrong? Are you meant to play through on pt1 first and then come back to pt2?

Those stupid flying trash cans die pretty well to shock weapons. For ninjas try to have someone in your party with a Daze effect (Siren's Controller tree or Bloodwing). Leave the midget in the shack alone for now.
Yeah, in Knoxx you should be rolling with a shock gun and an acid gun at the very least. I leveled my pistol proficiency pretty nicely on first play through of Knoxx because my Pestilent Defiler was the best acid gun I had.
So I rolled up a new mord last night after not having played BL for a couple months, forgot how much fun it is to pop people's heads off with the sniper rifles. Made it up to 4-5 before I had to crash, would love to get into some multi - but I'm a noob who's never done such. I got an invite a bit ago to the group, but I never see anyone in chat. Also I guess I need a Gamespy ID to do online?
I just picked up the game with an xbox and am enjoying it. I have a Roland who's 10 and I can't kill Bonehead for some reason. My fps mojo must need some dusting off or something.
All in all I'm having a blast with the game.

Can I monkey with my character using willowtree or whatever to adjust my backpack slots to the maximum LEGAL (72) number and still be able to play in multiplayer games?
I don't want to hack anything else, and I don't want 3000 slots, I just want to give myself the 72 maximum legal/allowed slots without RELOADING SEVERAL HUNDRED TIMES IN PT2 TRYING TO GET THE GODDAM SDU FROM THE CLAPTRAP RESCUES OH GOD KILL ME.
However, it's not worth it if by editing my slots, I somehow corrupt/flag my character as a hackZ0r and am no longer able to play in Mplayer games, or somehow screw up other people's characters.

Thanks guys - i'll just wait until I get all the way through PT2, get above level 61, and then use WillowTree to up my slots to 72. This way, I should be just fine - and not "technically" cheating too badly.

this is about as "cheating" as using oasis - you're just doing what the game should have done in the first place

Skipping anything via alternative means that normally requires repeating the same, menial task many, many times in a row does not fall under cheating in my books.

I seem to remember getting one with like, 22 fire rate

played with a guy last night who was also running a brick alt
we agreed that stat SHOULD have been a brick skill
but yeah, blastmaster is great - providing you get a kill first to start things off
i found myself greatly missing roland's +magazine size skills. my ogre has a 55 clip, but when master blaster procs, that gets used up in a jiffy
anyway, haven't really played long enough at high levels to form a conclusive opinion, i still need to find a decent fatal crux or blast hammer

what i did was give myself a nice 60 slots on my main roland and 100 for the bank. all subsequent patches/DLC didn't do squat to them

I seem to be stuck with the "gun so awesome you never get rid of it" problem, though. I've been using this shotgun for 15 levels. (out of 30)

i got a hellfire SMG about halfway through the game and it's still my best gun

no glitching
just me and craw and his minions
