Harmonix Community Team here. If you’ve met us before, you know that PAX Prime is pretty much our favorite event ever. 2010 is no exception, especially considering how amped we are to be launching two pretty awesome titles this year. Rock Band 3 promises to be the definitive music game this year and Dance Central is getting everyone to move their butts.
This year, we’re taking our booth back to its DIY roots. We’re bringing a powerhouse RB3 7 player “All Instruments” setup and a Dance Central boogie-down setup and throwing them into the mosh-pit that is our 20x20 corner of the world. But other than the games and the A/V (and our smiling faces), that’s all we’re bringing. We’re hoping that YOU can help us make our booth feel like home.
In order to do so, we’ve put together this list of items for the Harmonix PAX 2010 “BYOBooth” Registry (with the blessing of the fantastic Mr. Khoo). It’s actually pretty simple. Sign up here to bring one of the items from the list. First person to sign up is the person bringing that thing. Depending on the tier of the item, you get some cool stuff from us. We feel at home, you get cool stuff – everyone wins.
Rules:
1. You must sign up in this thread with your PA Forums + Real Name. We'll add your name to the registry and mark the item claimed.
2. One item per person! And please only commit to bringing something if you're actually coming to PAX, ya dig?
3. Items must be delivered on Friday before close of show
4. You must find one of the HMX folks at our booth and check your item in. At that point we will take photos of you with your item like WHOA.
5. You consent for us to use your photo on RockBand.com and affiliated sites to brag to everyone about how cool you are.
6. You should probably hang out with us and give us your email etc. It’ll be awesome.
7. You should only bring something that you won't mind leaving at a rowdy booth for a weekend. Chances are it'll get played with or eaten, so don't bring something of great sentimental or financial value.
Rewards:
Easy Difficulty – RB Swag Pack (Green Day RB, RB Track Packs) and stuff from our booth (shirts and whatever we got)
Medium Difficulty – 1 Free Disc Copy of either Dance Central or Rock Band 3 (your choice of console) at launch and stuff from our booth
Hard Difficulty – Disc Copies of Rock Band 3, Dance Central and Green Day: Rock Band (your choice of console) and stuff from our booth.
Expert Difficulty – 1 Rock Band 3 Keyboard controller, disc Copies of Rock Band 3, Dance Central, Green Day: Rock Band (your choice of console) stuff from our booth and a call out via the Message of the Day within Rock Band.
You give us your address and all the important info when you check your stuff in, we’ll ship stuff out to you when it’s ready for you to rock on.
We'll answer questions and update the thread as people sign up. First come, first serve. Sound good? Get to signing up!
Yours in Rock and Dance,
-HMXhenry

Dang man! I am way late to this thread! Will you guys be adding any additional items that you want/need for any of the categories, or is everything full for forever?
Life size replica of Han Solo in Carbonite ordered from a place in Indiana and being shipped directly to my hotel in Seattle!
I really don't want to take it home, so I may try to auction/raffle it off. With proceeds going to Child's Play of course!
And just in case you miss the auction/raffle, I know a place in LA that is making two more replicas and selling them. Message me for their contact info.
Holy crap you guys, you are all awesome! You guys are going to make my life hell, and I can't wait.
When planning Penny Arcade, the first thing we discuss is how we can think of creative new ways to test the endurance and creativity of the Enforcers. It's all part of the program designed to train you to be the next step in human evolution. Oh, and then if there's any time left we talk about showing off the games too.
Again, a huge thanks to everyone for volunteering to bring stuff to our booth! We can't wait for PAX.
A few of you have asked if you can bring stuff that's not on our list in the OP. That's cool with me! Unfortunately we don't have enough swag for everyone that brings stuff, but if you want to bring something for fun then we will thank you with high fives and bro hugs.
We're sorting out logistics for moving the larger items (i.e. suit of arms, Han Solo in carbonite) right now and we'll follow up here and in PM with more info to make sure you guys have contact numbers and names to drop if there's an issue bringing things into the convention center.
Oh, if for some reason your plans have changed since you volunteered to bring something on the list and you won't be attending PAX or you won't be able to bring your item please let me know so we can free the item up for someone else to snag.
Just a few days left! Hope you guys are as excited as we are!
finished the punk end table last night! sid vicious based design, was toying with gluing a syringe and a baggie but thought that might be bad taste, even if it was true.:P

The black light poster is here. Its not as awesome as I had hoped, but its still totally lulz.
Hope you guys enjoyed Road House! The booth turned out great thanks to everyone bringing such cool stuff. Both games look awesome ~ I am really excited for RB3^^
armor with inflatable winky, feather boa, and a thong on it's head
armor with Lady Gaga hair bow, thong (with infected sticker, lol), Boba Fett mask, feather boa, and leather jacket (kilt removed)
The idea for this was really cool but personally i think the actual booth looked horrible... >.>
it looked like a messy living room and i at least make a small effort to clean my living room before inviting ppl over to play rock band...
I was really expecting them to have a general layout on where they planed to distribute the stuff but it looked as if they just kinda haphazardly piled things around the screens...

This is the completely incorrect mindset concerning Rock and Roll and Do It Yourself madness.
AHHHHHHH! We made it back from PAX in one piece! I cannot thank everyone here enough for getting involved and making this the most fun event we've done this year.
You can check out the link EvilBadman provided for loads of ridiculous photos, and we should have an article going up on RockBand.com today. More photos coming once the rest of the team gets back from other travel.
I've started putting together a spreadsheet with everyone's contact info and we'll start emailing for addresses and console choice this week. Thanks for your continued patience while we ramp up to launch two big games. You guys definitely deserve your swag and we'll hook you up asap!
Goddamn, you guys know how stupid I look in photos, because you posted 5 of me with that box of donuts.
Heheh..I kept going by when they were so busy, they didn't have time to get me with a photo holding a strobe light ..but the booth was rockin all the time so its GOOD
(plus I have one of those faces that loves to scare cameramen)
I was amused that when I picked up the armor, the thong on its head had an "infected" sticker. :P
It was a pleasure to help you guys make BYOB a success. Here's to hoping for something even crazier next year. Oh! Next year, you totally make sure someone hits Frost for you guys (Hopefully I brought enough...). between Frost and Top Pot, you've got all the doughnut love you could need.
