FYI I was looking through the event schedule and marking all the omegathon events into my schedule. I couldn't find round 2. I looked at the schedule grids and found that Round 2 is on Saturday morning. I confirmed that this wasn't listed in the event schedule.
It was mentioned in the schedule thread that Round 2 is not occurring in one of the theaters. It is occurring on the Freeplay stage. 3:30 PM Friday.

Yeah, I was going through the schedules and I couldn't find it either.

not sure what the plan is for the twitter portion of the app, or promotions or whatever....but @IntelGameOn might be worth tracking. Get your blue intel button, find out where their spotters are, and get a card that can be redeemed for a prize. here's the thread.

The Intel feed and promotional info will be on the app. This map/force closing stuff pushed me back so it will be a little longer before I get twitter working.
WRT to the Omegathon round 2, it won't be in any specific theatre I believe.. someone posted the time it would happen but not where.
Probably real life frogger or something outside the convention center. :P
For now I just put the location as "Freeplay Stage". I can always change it later.
Also, 0.0.4 is now up. Hopefully it fixes issues people were having. For the map, instead of buttons you just touch & hold then move your finger up and down to zoom in/out.
Would it be possible to get horizontal orientation? Preferably in both CW and CCW 90 orientations.
Yeah, I can do that. Would you rather have a stretched out version of what there already is, or a completely rearranged layout on horizontal change?
What do you mean by stretched out? I was thinking that you'd probably just want to rotate it by 90 and make the logo a tad smaller so that the options would fit in the limited vertical space.
Also, can you enable the option to move to SD card?

Like having all the rows stretched out on the schedule. Never mind though, having it stretched out is pretty much the only way to have it look good (I could have done something else like having two columns). On the main screen though, it looks a little strange with only resizing the logo. I think what I'm going to do is when in horizontal mode, the title bar stays at the top, logo to the left and options to the right.
And for moving the schedule to the SD card, what kind of format would you want it in? Right now it's all kind of in a custom format. If I have extra time I might implement it.
Okay, When I tap the Event Schedule button > Friday, I get sent to a blank screen. Sat/Sunday just cause the screen to scroll and go back the day selections screen (Just retested after clearing some memory and the sat/sunday options go to a blank screen)

I'm just starting to get some error logs from google, so tomorrow I'll start going through and hopefully fix this problem.
New updates are working fine on my 2.2 Droid.
Gotta say I love this app nick, its just what we needed!

Ooh... downloading and installing now..
Very cool on the original Moto Droid. The schedule list is probably the best feature, but being able to zoom in on the hall maps would be an awesome addition.

You can. Hold your finger until it vibrates and then move your finger up and down.

Also is there a way that people can donate a couple of buck to ya? You really deserve it.

Still looking into this issue. Also, thanks! If there are enough people that want to donate then maybe I'll put a donate button in the app. That would be nice for tuition and textbook, that stuff's not cheap and anything helps :P.

Thanks for pointing that out, i was perplexed as to how the heck to zoom in on the map at first.
A new version is up on the market. Also, just to let everyone know, I've been updating the original post with the app updates. After looking through the error logs I think I *may* have ironed out the bug with force closing after opening the schedule. I was also able to get 99% of the twitter stuff done, and I think it turned out pretty well. Let me know what you guys think.
Been playing around with it on a droid and a g1, one thing i'll say is that the font size on the twitter page could be taken down a bit (or maybe a menu option to change small-medium-large?). On the G1, I can only see 2 messages, on the droid i can see about 2.5. Here are two screen grabs from each device. Personally I would prefer a font size similar to the "PAX Twitter Feeds" title text. just my opinion tho.
Saw 1 force close on the G1, when going between the schedule grids. Looks like an uncaught NPE in ImageZoomView.releaseResources, line 124. Here's a dump from logcat. Haven't been able to duplicate the issue though.
I agree with the smaller text size on the twitter page, and please fix the main page logo. It looks so bad all squished up like that. A small logo with the right proportions looks better than a squished big one.
Great work, nick. Should have posted earlier, but I have not had any problems with any of the versions you've put out on my Motorola Droid running 2.2. One thing I thought was odd was that when I opened the twitter page of the app this time, it vibrated for three seconds because of the new tweets. Maybe make it so it vibrates only when you don't have the app open or only when you're not doing a manual refresh?

3 text sizes now available under settings. Thanks for the log too, those really help.

I fixed the proportions on the logo, and it looked even worse. So instead I moved the (faded) logo to the background! I'm no UI expert, but I think it looks better.

The phone now only vibrates when the screen is off, but you still need to make sure the twitter page is open in order to get updates.

and it's blocked out on the gaming schedule.
Yeah, I was going through the schedules and I couldn't find it either.
I'll make sure to add that in the next update (should be coming out in less than an hour).
If anyone can find me a map I will add it.
Adding in the next update.
For the maps issue try doing update 0.0.4 when I release it. Thanks pointing out the crash, I will look into that.

Oh holy crap DO WANT!
Why must you show me something that is sold out! MUST HAVE
Haha those are cool.
Not only is it sold out but they will not be receiving any more.

A buddy of mine wants to know if he can get source to port it to WebOS. He's a Palm Pre user.

Wouldn't it be easier and not pollute the app if you put yer own events into your GMail or Phone calendar?

Two things I don't use. Just suggesting it would be nice to have all my pax stuff in one app.
