Steve Jobs, just before his alien head emerged from his mouth and ate a journalist and three hipsters.

He bought off the audience with free iTunes cards.

Classification of the life forms that inhabit the forums is a pursuit that has long been cultivated within the halls of [chat], the broader halls of D&D, and elsewhere wherever learned and refined Forumers congregate. While the simple, broad strokes of Thanatosian Classification are easy to grasp, and the effete judgementalism of Irondwilliamist Disdain provides a more granular classification, it is felt that an easily accessible system wearing the cosmetic trappings of scientific rigor would better enable the average former to cast Judgement upon his fellows. Whereas the initial format of this classification system was laid out by one Galahad, the lion’s share of the early precedents and labor in this new field have been forged and born by one Arch (Scientist arch homo-floresiensis).

Kingdom: The broadest category of forum life. While common wisdom indicates that the body of the forum must surely consist of FORUMERS as surely as a mammalian body CELLS, it is the proposal of this author that some sub-classifications be considered. While it is theoretically possible for entities to exist within other forums, such entities are beyond the scope of this study.
    Recognized Kingdoms: Forumer
    Suggested New Kingdoms: Mod, Alt

Phylum: Within the Kingdom of the Forum, there are many localized environments within which Forumers may thrive or wither. Phylum classification is typically based upon the environment within which a Forumer is first found, but if subsequent samples indicate that this former is more likely to be found elsewhere, a re-classification may be considered.
    Recognized Phyla: All sub-forums.

Class: There is currently some confusion as to whether Class should refer to philosophic/political/spiritual/ or regional affiliation. At the moment it is proposed that the most distinctive of these elements be assigned in each case. However, it may be prudent in the future to pick a single element, for the convenient groupings of like Orders of Forumer.
Recognized Classes: Liberal, Idealist, Californian, Canadian, Terrorist, Cyclops

Order: Order shall refer to the thread, or reoccurring class of threads, in which this former is commonly found. It is the opinion of the author that greater weight than usual will be granted [chat], where it exists, than other thread environments.
Recognized Orders: [chat] and other classes of reoccurring threads.

Family: While there is currently a great deal of confusion on this topic, it is the author’s feeling that family should be used to refer to a large group or class of people, to which the Forumer belongs.
Currently Recognized Families: Fratboy, Hippie, Hedgehog, Leering-lustfilled-eyebrow-wiggle, Fighter, Actor, Alaskan, Intern, Israeli

Genus: Like family, there is currently little rhyme or reason in the designation of Genus. It is the author’s feeling that Genus should be used to describe a narrower or contrasting group, in similar type to Family, such that the (ideally contrasting) region of overlap might be used to isolate the Forumer thus designated.
Currently Recognized Genus: Townie, Scientist, Skippy, Dominatrix, Weaboo, Casual, Israeli, Albino, Fusilus

Species: Species will always refer to the recognized name of the Forumer. In some rare instances this name may not correspond to the displayed User Name. In other cases some special designation may be necessary, as the equivalent of Cryptic Coloration or perhaps Mulerian Mimicry in Forum names has been remarked upon in some instances, especially as concerns Forumers possessing names beginning with the letter E.

Sub-Species: Sub-species should be used primarily to highlight endearing or reviled traits of the Forumer. In cases where the Forumer is unknown or unremarkable, this field may be left blank.
Currently Recognized Sub-Species: Any and all as appropriate.

    Class: Liberal
    Order: [Chat]
    Family: Fratboy
    Genus: Townie
    Species: Justinsane

Notes: Species should be changed to Justinsane07. A new sub-species designation should be applied.

    Class: Idealist
    Order: [Chat]
    Family: Hippie
    Genus: Scientist
    Species: Arch
    sub-species: Homo-floresiensis

*All remaining classifications courtesy of Arch.
Notes: It is the opinion of the author that some attention should be paid to standardizing these classifications.

    Sauteed Pork Chops
    # For pork chops:
    2 center-cut rib or loin chops, each about 10 ounces, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches thick
1 tablespoons or more fresh vegetable oil
    1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon or more Julia's Special Spice Blend
1/4 cup dry white French vermouth
    1/2 cup flavorful brown stock
A spring of fresh savory, or thyme, or a big pinch of dried herbs
    1 teaspoon chutney
    1 tablespoon butter, soft
    For spice blend:
    1 teaspoon ground bay leaves
    1 teaspoon clove
    1 teaspoon mace
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1 teaspoon thyme
    1/2 teaspoon allspice
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon savory
2 teaspoons freshly ground white pepper

    Cooking Directions

    For spice blend:

Mix well in a bowl and store in a screwtop glass jar.

    For sauteed pork chops:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

At least 1/2 hour in advance of cooking, trim rib chops of excess fat and sinew.

To season the chops, rub each side with drops of vegetable oil to coat lightly, sprinkle with salt, and rub in some of the spice blend using about 1/2 teaspoon in all.

Cover the chops and refrigerate until ready to cook.

Set the frying pan over moderately high heat and film the bottom with oil. Meanwhile, rapidly dry the chops on paper towels, and when the pan is very hot lay in the chops.

Saute to brown each lightly on both sides - 3 to 4 minutes per side.

Pour the vermouth and stock into the pan, add the herbs, cover the pan, and adjust heat to maintain a slow simmer.

Cook slowly 4 to 5 minutes, turn, and cook 4 to 5 minutes on the other side. They are done when you cut close to the bone with a little knife and the meat is still faintly pink.

Remove the chops to a side dish while you rapidly boil down the pan juices until syrupy.

Stir in the chutney and simmer a moment, then return the chops to the pan.

Basting with the sauce as you simmer to rewarm the chops, taste and correct seasoning.

Remove the pan from heat, and arrange a chop on each warm dinner plate, leaving the sauce in the pan.

Reheat the sauce to a simmer, remove from heat, and, swirling the pan by its handle, drop in the butter, swirling to incorporate it completely.

Pour over the chops and serve immediately.

Paired with some roasted sage potatoes and a Salad Nicoise. Or I could go simple and make spaghetti. I need to serve seven or so people. Which do I choose?
