    Sitrep is really nice offensively. It tells you which rooms to use your flashbangs on.

    Totally your teamates' fault for picking not-ninja.

    I run SitRep pro and ninja on every class I make.

    I still have no idea which one I like better.

    Ninja on rushing classes, Sitrep on defensive ones.

    :P

    And in my opinion you have that completely backwards.

    SitRep is more offensive and Ninja is more defensive.

    But then they'll hear you coming?

    But you can hear them easier and you can see their claymores before you run at them.

    To be honest Claymores seem almost non-existent in Australian (TDM) games these days.

    Not sure why.

    I took advantage of the weekly deal and got Resurgence, as suggested.

    Should I bother with Stimulus just to complete the package, or is it not really worth it?

    Also, are PA folks still active in this game?

    That was odd, ran into some quickscopers on pc. I didn't think it actually did anything on pc, since there's no auto aim to exploit.

    There were a few of them in CoD4 abusing a certain acoged bolt action rifle.

    Other than that they don't turn up much though.

    Let's compare.

    Stimulus:

    Bailout(meh)

    Storm(good)

    Salvage(tube city)

    Crash(okay)

    Overgrown(snipe camp city).

    Resurgence:

    * Vacant -- (tube city, good otherwise)
    * Strike -- (snipe city)
    * Carnival -- (good)
    * Trailer Park -- (good)
    * Fuel -- (snipe city where kewl 13 year olds can exploit stupid glitches...as long as a team isn't smart enough to simply avoid that half of the map. Then it gets boring because you have 6 on 2-3 matches because the other half of your opponent's team are hiding in rocks.)

    So, they're around the same really...

    Carnival and Trailer Park are probably my favourite maps from MW2. Fuel was great in Ground War, and I don't remember any glitches there beyond that rock in the middle of nowhere.

    seriously, though, everyone's going to have different opinions on maps. I mean, not all of us could agree that Favela is terrible for haven's sakes, and that is the most obvious thing in the world.

    yeah, i dont totally hate favela cuz i SPAS rape on that map.

    i love storm, but the resurgence pack is way better. trailer park and carnival rule, and vacant is another great SPAS map.

    and despite brutle being an angry, bitter old man, i'll still probably pick up the hardened edition if its available. FOR THE MAPS, WHICH WE'LL ALL END UP BUYING ANYWAY, NOT THE "USELESS SHIT", BRUTLE.

    if you couldnt tell, your comment hurt my feelings. :rotate:

    I, too, have a soft spot for Favela. I had just discovered the magic of the SPAS and Favela came up. Lo and behold, a fair number of hacked 10thers. As it turned out, every single one of them was witch knifing. Well, my SPAS had something to say about that. Blast them in mid air, blast them in mid lunge, blast them across streets, blast them as they come around corners. I ended with something like 36 - 3. The postgame lobby was full of rage, and for once I shittalked right back.

    The only thing left on my wishlist for blops is a separate volume slider for the music.

    If I have to listen to the same 60 second loop of menu music again I may turn homicidal.

    Anything is great compared to Rundown. Even Karachi becomes bearable.

    Anyway, somehow managed to turn from ambivalent about BLOPS to excited and ready to go, not sure how that happened. And finally getting around to maxxing out some guns, doing those FMJ challenges. That attachment is actually a boatload of fun, already been accused of being a hacker a few times when people took cover behind solid looking brick walls! :lol:

    Same. I'm mastering all the secondaries I can and all the primaries I want to. All Machine Pistols done (the Raffica felt dirty) half the shotguns and pistols, etc. It'll be nice leaving MW2 without any lingering "Wouldn't that have been nice?" thoughts about this or that gun/attachment.

    And FMJs are a surprisingly funky attachment. There's nothing like winging someone, seeing them hide, then raking the wall until +100. Or strafing right past a doorway as you fire bullets in the general direction of someone who dies wondering why you didn't just charge into their waiting iron sights.

    Holy fuck.

    Running a mara/LW class after playing Reach (or nothing, more accurately) for the last few months is like playing Halo on 20x speed.

    For funnies, you should compare kill times to see if it is actually 20x faster.
