    So I did a silent version and I got bored watching it.
    so I did a full spanking super duper actual going to be the first op of my lets play version. I even spent hours amplifying my voice in a word by word sentence by sentence manner for when I was just so goddam quiet jesus christ that was a lot of effort. It didn't happen that much but whenever I wanted to explain something specifically I would go into this thoughtful and more importantly really fucking quiet tone of voice that I had to sort out with audacity.
    I hated myself so much! SPEAK UP ME YOU MORON

    Anyway I'm going with commentary. It's more fun for me and you.

    I have a new dilemna. Whats an acceptable video length. This thing is 40 minutes long. I was thinking around 12-15 minute chunks. I can upload the whole thing since youtube graciously allows me to upload longer than 15 minutes now. But I don't wanna break some lets play courtesy rule or some shit I don't know you guys have so many goddam rules ugh.

    10-20 minutes is usually a pretty good length. I'm usually uncomfortable going to 30 minutes or more.

    I'm not a fan of it going on for too long. 30 minutes is my usual length I guess. Of course sometimes, when I am really into it, it might be a little bit longer. I do try to stay within a reasonable time limit though. It just loses it's appeal after a time.

    I'm splitting it up into around 10-15 minutes each.
    There will be three for the whole update.

    Unfortunately that's just how much early stuff there is before you unlock the true freeroam and can start buying powers etc. You know, the meat of the game.
    So I want that out of the way.

    I'm going to swing them by you guys one by one as I finish them. Once I have your feedback, if it's acceptable, I'll pop them in the archive and start work on the next part. (I wont show anymore, I'll just trust myself not to backslide) Once I'm about two updates ahead of schedule I'll go ahead and make it.

    Morninglord, 15-45 minutes seems to be tolerated. Below or beyond that is when people raise eyebrows.

    I'd advise against chopping up videos for a single update. One video per update is a good thing to do.

    Phew, I was worried that I am going to do something intelligent when I try out a subtitled LP of Brutal Legend.

    Seriously though, I honestly couldn't make myself talk over the excellent audio in that game.

    I tend to prefer subtitle LPs when I watch video LPs because I want to hear the game and not your nerd voice or your labored breathing into the mic or your lunch.

    Has anyone done an analytical LP of Dragon Age, like Lt. Danger did for NWN2 or Scorchy on KOTOR II?

    edit: Boy is this an ironic edit.
    So I downloaded the dev version of megui after someone on SA tech support thread swore by it when someone else complained about the normal version of megui have that problem I had before. Only now it's doing that double video thing again.
    This is very strange because the last video I uploaded was using the dev version. I haven't changed any settings or even modified how I set up the avisynth script. It's identical.
    So what the flying fuck?

    There have been a few abortive attempts at SA that never got past the Sandcastle. I think most people with the ability to do it realize what an incredibly large amount of work it would be and haven't bothered.

    Yeah, given the length of DA, I think that it'd be much more economical, at least for the viewers, to do a SS LP instead. But there was a NWN2 one like that kotor 2 one? Have a link?
