I'm not particully fussed about the ending being spoiled. We all have a general idea of how it goes.
The question is the exact details (which i'm going to speculate about):
In my mind, the last set piece will be an epic firefight style scene, where you and the rest of Noble Team are defending a position against a massive Covenant assault. It could go two ways:
1. You go out guns blazing or
2. through some quirk of fate, you manage to hold them off, then fall back and survive underground whilst the Covenant glass the planet. If thats possible.
turn on team and party only for halo 3. dudes in fiesta were either joking or threatening to ruin reach for everyone in the lobby. muted them all and reported.
then won with +17 and 16 laser kills
And a more permanent solution that you won't have to switch on each time you boot up Halo 3 if you want to go that far:

Friends Only
doing this saved the series for me. I rage quit Halo 3 for like 6 months, came back with these settings and have loved every minute of it.

You could just enter a party by yourself and set it to Friends only. That way no one can try to rush in and spoil the game for you.
At least I'll be spending most of the last three and a half weeks playing MNC and Scott Pilgrim, now that my console is finally being delivered today. Not much time in Halo 3 for some jackass to try to ruin Reach.

that worked until MW2 made it so you can't join a game in party chat but you make a good point. I may go back to that style when Reach comes out. The first 6 weeks of new releases are usually pretty good.

Grated, it won't stop random people sending you messages over Live, but it's easy to just avoid those.
So there's this Canadian contest, in Vancouver, you have to find some sort of control point. It's currently sitting outside of Waterfront Station, if anyone is interested in finding out what it's all about: http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/reach/event.htm

Those rewards seem kinda low... were the armor prices for the beta just grossly inflated or are we really going to have to grind some credits for our dress-up pieces?
EDIT: Wait, that's just for completing ONE mission on Legendary, not the entire game. And you're probably earning normal credits as well on top of these bonuses. So nevermind.
* The Septagon – This option returns for anyone who links their LIVE account to their Bungie.net account.
* The DMR – A pro weapon for Pro members. Get Bungie Pro to bump up your File Share, render videos, and get this emblem. Active subscriptions bought in Halo 3 or Halo 3: ODST carry over to Halo: Reach, of course.
* Marathon – Play the full version of Marathon: Durandal on Xbox LIVE Arcade to enable the Jjaro Terminal emblem.
* Halo 1 – Enter your Halo 1 PC/Mac product key to enable this emblem. Each key can only be used once, so you’d better stop reading this and grab that key before your brother does. Since we have no way to validate who has played the Xbox version, this emblem is reserved for that dedicated community of computer gamers, with over 50k unique users still active each month, 7 years after release. Thanks for sticking with us. It’s been quite a ride!
* Halo 2 – Automatically available if you played Halo 2 for Xbox on your LIVE account before its tearful retirement. If it’s not active for you, no amount of wheedling will change that, sorry.
* Halo 3 – Take a guess… On the plus side, there’s plenty of time to head to your local purveyor of fine, shrink-wrapped games to snag a copy if you’re the one person who actually reads the news on our site and hasn’t played this game.
* Halo 3: ODST – Ditto.
* Assault Rifle – This fine armament goes to anyone who played the Halo: Reach beta a few months ago.
* Spartan Helmet – CLASSIFIED
* HALO – Like Blamite out of a Needler, these faceplate options can supercombine. Unlock the emblems for Halo 1, Halo 2, and Halo 3 to get this special emblem.
* The Star – Who knows? We haven’t come up with a use for this yet. Maybe we will in the future.
Ones I won't have is the pro one, the marathon one, and the two mystery ones.
I'm going to guess that the helmet one is for beating the game on legendary or something Reach related.. the star is probably going to be the Reach equivalent of recon armor.
On the same note if anyone can PM me a link to a Halo Reach spoiler I would appreciate it. The less of an incentive I have to purchase this game the better it is for my bank account and university grades.
Now, I'm not entirely sure - if I played Halo 2 for five years (November 9th, 2004, November 2009), I will still get the emblem, right? Someone informed me that I needed to play in the last few weeks of play, but I did not have an Xbox at the time, and I would hate to miss out.
they said they were giving something to the guys who played Halo 2 on the last day before they turned the multiplayer off...if this is it that's kind of lame.
man, i had halo pc along time ago, and i've lost my key. that sucks.

Couple new multiplayer vids in the update as well, the sniper firefight had a new medal entitled "Be the Bullet" which could be the next tier medal beyond Sharpshooter or possibly tied into number of no scopes.
ya, that firefight vid on the map Corvette is the one I saw the other day on youtube. glad they have it on the update, now I don't feel like I spoiled anything by watching it
Also, if you skipped over it: the may 26th cutoff for Halo PC CD keys is gone. Go forth and buy a copy of Halo 1 PC new to get the flair.
Willeth, if you didn't selll that used copy you bought you should get online with it now, and be good to go.
edit: also I totally saw that Marathon emblem coming, but I'm still not sure I want to get that version, unless I'm damn sure people are going to play some co-op.
Whooo for acknowledgment for those who have actually paid for an Xbox version of a free game. (Marathon)
I do wish it was the classic Marathon emblem though, since that's what I've used on my Spartan for the past several years. And if I'm remembering right, the Marathon emblem wasn't in the Reach Beta for some stupid, awful no good reason.
Let me love Marathon dammit. I spent countless hours during those first few weeks of H3's release in order to get a 1,000/1,000 GS for the Security helmet.

No, the ending to the game, not what happens to Reach. We already know that!
