Like I said on the previous page, my druid has a kodo in his bag and my DK has a ram. The druid is the mount collector, and needs the ram, while I don't really care what the dk gets, but it would be nice if he had something. I'd love it if the rare drop mounts were BoA or if one of the Brewfest vendors could exchange mounts. I'm going to seriously feel bad when I destroy that kodo. It sucks that someone didn't get a mount because I got one that I already had.
ADORE: [Reins of the Fucking Raven Lord], finally god damn.
Abhor: Then I did my Direbrew stuff with 7 characters and got *nothing* on any of them.
Friend was on, so I decided to try my DK's luck with the tiger mount... that being no luck. And the raid had *just* reset last night so I have to wait until Saturday to try again.
I'd love it if the rare drop mounts were BoA or if one of the Brewfest vendors could exchange mounts.
Doesn't the BoA suggestion rather ruin the whole intention behind the 'get a bag' changes to reduce farming the instances?
Also, you getting a mount has not prevented anyone else getting one. Fear not.
Yeah, BoA wouldn't work...I just wish there was some way to not waste a 2nd kodo (or ram).
And yeah, I know that each bag is an independent event, and there aren't N mounts available so getting one doesn't make N-1 left...but again, it just sucks that I'm going to wind up dropping it for bag space.
Abhor: Heroic Sind 10m, 10% we decide to pop lust and burn her down right after we break out the person in the ice block. 7% later's when the next ice block occurs and lucky us it hits the melee who's in full on tunnel vision mode and freezes everyone around him. Cue demoralizing 1% wipe.

Any reason you pop it then rather than at the start of P2? We go for the start of P2 using the logic that that's the hard bit and at least everyone *should* be alive at that point. Besides which, it's also a little calmer back then so people should be able to react to the important factors more.

Sindragosa can just go to hell.
I actually find 10man HM pretty easy now, but I've also killed 25man HM twice now and oh god oh god oh god the pain.

I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

I hate that fight in HM so much - yay unchained 4 times in a row, sure is fun to literally do nothing for a minute in a boss fight.
I dps a little bit in p1 if I can, but in p2 you pretty much can't leave the raid, sooooo I don't think anyone will miss my dps from wanding if I just melee swing ice blocks.
I used to joke that we should replace our casters with healers, but that really wasn't funny and only half a joke.

Because you waste half of the lust hiding behind blocks or having people try not to explode if you do it at the start of the phase. At the end there, we had everyone alive, no one in a block, and thus had max dps. Because we were burning her down people's explosion stacks didn't matter so they could go all out: they just stood off to the side so when they did explode they'd die by themselves (and if we're lucky and the spriest gets it, then that won't even happen). The only thing that ruined us was the melee getting the tomb which froze our two rogues and our offtank (who was dpsing). Couple that with losing a healer and ranged dps to the explosions and it was enough for us to peter out right at the end.
Abhor: so we stopped raiding last week because enough people in my guild saw Cata gear stats and said 'screw killing 25h lk or getting 25 icc mounts, i'm out till cata".
Abhor2: a few of us still want to at least get the mounts so we organize a raid for last night - like 10 people show up.

We actually ended up doing this last night, since for some reason our normal 7 ranged casters became... 3? I think. We had 4 healers getting unchained every other round, so we just had the boomkin swap since she cant do anything other than melee anyway. It actually goes pretty smoothly with a 4 hunters, 9 healers and a zillion melee.
I've got a thing that's really nagging me on an alt: I'm trying to grind the triumph set together for this char so naturally I converted the frosts from icc5/dailies. It's only that I out of habit continued downgrading the emblems (heirlooms...) so now I've got 5 worthless valor sitting there in the list, nagging me. It's always "hmmm, 4 more badges till I have the pants... course, I would already have gotten them if it weren't for you!"

I honestly don't know how anyone puts up with 25 man raiding when this happens.
Those people not turning up, are the same people who said in their guild application "yeah I don't raid for loot, I raid for the experience of doing new content, and killing bosses for the first time".
Which is complete and utter rubbish.
They're the same people who don't turn up for progression nights, complain about the guild not progressing, then go off and look for the next 25 man raiding guild up the ladder, whereupon they go to the new guild
"yeah I just want to raid, I'm not bothered about loot" and then add "the guild I'm in, isn't skilled enough for me, and they're not raiding as much as I'd like.
In fact, I've seen an officer in a HM 11/12 25 man raiding guild jog off to a 12/12 guild. What's the point in that? I'd love to know what his application said considering you're applying to a guild that's clearing all content.
I'm just winding myself up talking about it, and I don't even 25 man raid!

In the pre-cataclysm patch any badge gets converted to justice points(?) anyway. So I wouldn't worry about the valor badges. Thats the reason I was sitting on my frost badges with my mage instead of converting them to triumph badges to get the gear -> they are worth more points and thus I can buy more stuff (in the future).
fake edit: the purple lvl 200-232 gear gets replaced anyway with the first quest green I assume. But I am equiping my mage because I want the char to look prettay and not like a sack of rags when I login the next time. Secondly, there is no point leveling an alt (except for professions) if I don't play with it at least for a short amount of time.

Nope. According to MMo champion, frost and triumph badges convert to the same amount of Justice points.

Ah, that makes sense. We generally try to avoid the "do or die" approach unless we're approaching the berserk timer, but if you *are* going that way, that's probably the best way to go for it.
Adore the second: A boomchicken in my raid is super under preforming for her gear (barely breaks 3k full buffed). So I asked another boomkin from my guild to take a chickadee under her wing. The chickadee was really actually really thrilled about having a mommikin. Apperantly she's been wanting to ask someone questions but scared to say anything in fears of getting "olo Noob reroll".
Thats pretty nice. I like it when players don't go "lolz l2p rofl" and instead encurage others and help them.
WoW isn't very clear about rotation, priorities in the endgame (or even stats in general) unless you are actually persuing and looking at "outside material" or do a lot of tiral and error. (I mean everybody can cast a spell or hit something in this game, but doing it effectively is another matter) Secondly, lots of players expect you to play your (newly leveled) class like you were doing this for years.
While WoW has very good fanmade FAQs / tutorials - thanks to the huuuge playerbase - it can still be overwhelming for somebody new(ish) -. Personally I check mmo-champion because it has the most comprehensive guides. "You have this skillset, you use this rotation, these are your gems and enchants". Usually if you played two or three classes / used different talent trees it makes "click" and you know approximately what you need, if you start another class. Happend when I was playing my mage and checked later various FAQs: "Hey according other fansites I was doing it "the right way".
Abhor: so we stopped raiding last week because enough people in my guild saw Cata gear stats and said 'screw killing 25h lk or getting 25 icc mounts, i'm out till cata".

Maybe adore, maybe just setting myself up to be bitten in the ass: We *seem* to have had an influx of refugees from guilds with that problem; those who want to keep raiding have ended up with us. It's exactly the sort of attitude we want from people, so they're very valuable recruits indeed. It's probably worth just asking around subtly to see if there's a guild like us still with a majority making an effort, because I'm sure they'd love to have you on board.
Nervous side-adore: Putricide-25H to 18%ish. Haven't yet had a perfect transition into P3, though. Wondering if three tanks is just about viable or we should sacrifice a DPS to be a fourth tank.

Holy shit. I just got the Kodo and the Ram in one bag.
So finally got zombiefest from CoTStrat and the Ooze achivment for HoS. Only have "Watch Him Die" from AZ left to get Glory of the Hero. Not much, but nice to get it done.
Adore: Finally getting the Searing Gorge gate key! There is a locked gate in Loch Modan that leads to(where else) Searing Gorge. To get the key you have to kill a mob in SG. When I first started my Dwarf Hunter in Vanilla, one of the first things I did was run up to that gate to investigate it. Uppon learning that I had to be a imba lvl 60 to do the quest(at least to kill the mob), I vowed I would one day get it.
I promptly forgot about it for around 4 years, until a chance run around(killing time while chatting) lead me to the gate again. One quick quest later(actually 3), I now have the Key. I can now run down a long tunnel instead of flying in to Searing Gorge!

Adore: Logged in this morning, and saw the ! for the Dark Iron attack. That got me to 200 tokens, and Brew of the Month. Then I learned the Ram I picked up the other day, and my DK is now a Brewmaster.
Hate you all that are getting mounts or anything other than badges in your bags.. more hate to the ones that are getting multiple tihngs in the bags.. sigh. My count 0-20
Our usual guild main tank hates doing this seasonal achievement stuff. Convinced him to just do it, doens't take too long and gives you decent money.
First run, he gets the kodo and a shanker. F THIS!
ABHOR: Sinister Calling is all that's keeping me from my Proto. I trick or treated every hour on the hour for two weeks last year, even bringing a laptop in to work to do so. I did not get the damn pet, but I got 3 or so helmets.
ABHOR: I don't have credit for the helmet that I have in my bank.
ABHOR: RNG keeping me from a year's plus work in getting my meta. I'm stressing already, and the holiday isn't for another three weeks.

How many weapon skills did you have to max for the arms master achievement? Warlocks don't exactly get a huge selection of weapons.

So I did unarmed, daggers, swords and wands.
Never did staves. Not that it matters if I do it now, but it helps with the tedium.
