At this point I just have an aborted Sentinel run I might revive as a CQC Sentinel and Engineer left to do. I've done far too many Vanguard runs because Vangods are awesome.

Well I don't feel so bad now, I've done probably 5 soldier runs, along with 1 run each of infiltrator, sentinel, and vanguard (still WIP).

I still need/want to do adept and engineer, but we'll see how that goes

    Adept is BEST CLASS.

Get slam as a bonus power, why? Just because.

    Slam, Warp, Singularity

Crazy fun. A level or 2 of throw just to laugh as you send people reeling over an edge, screaming to their deaths.

ME2 actually has a few first-person scenes, like when Shepard wakes up early in the Lazarus project

first-person shots are great when used sparingly, but you can't properly tell a whole story out of them

I'd disagree with the can't, but it certainly constrains the kinds of stories the game can tell. Sooner or later someone will probably try it, and who knows maybe it'll be brilliant, but I doubt a first person RPG would work fully voiced.

Ok guys, finally got around to getting This game. Problem is that between me beating mass effect 1 and getting 2 Ive had a complete system wipe and lost my original savegame. Is there any way to create a savegame with important plot points selected without having to go all the way through mass effect 1 again? I'd really like to go through the game with a rough approximation of my character versus completely generic Shepard.

You can try other people's save games, you may or may not find an exact match, but it worked pretty well for me.

There's two ways. MassEffectSaves.com and using Gibbed's save editor.

The latter's a bit of a hassle since you'll need to start a game, save it, edit the save with all the ME1 choices you want, set the "I finished the game" flag, then restart the game (this time importing an ME2 save), save the game, edit it again, this time to add the import bonuses, and finally load that edited save.

    undersink plumbing fucking SUCKS :(

i don't think i've played any class more than once.

i started out as infiltrator on normal, then did vanguard on insanity, then adept on veteran, then an aborted engineer on insanity (now deleted), now i'm doing a sentinel on insanity.

that leaves engineer, which i'll probably do on veteran, and soldier, which i guess i'll try on insanity.

    sentinel IS fun, though

watching my power armor blow off and knock the rocket ladies on the platform ACROSS THE CHASM into the abyss is awesome

it's got a bigger blowdown radius than a warpsplosion

thing is, you gotta play it aggressive

get up in peoples faces and throw some elbows

EDIT: you are right that sentinel on horizon isn't that fun

but to be fair i brought mordin and i should have brought kasumi for her harby-neutralizing powers

Ah, so I got past horizon by sicking my mates on the 2 scions. I danced around out of cover taking care of the husks and avoiding errant scion blasts. Once all the husks died it was easy.

I then decided to take cover in a truck bed, which happened to be precisely the spot where a collector soldier lands. I don't know who was more surprised, but I know who got more elbows to the face.

edit: whoever said the 2 scions were the boss, not the praetorian, was totally right. Praetorian was a joke.

I didn't have a problem with Engineer, it was just kind of easy.

The drone does one thing, really, and that is to pretty much completely negate a single enemy. It's not flashy like other abilities are, (although I thought that Soldier was hella boring) but it's a simple, effective tool that will save your life a thousand times(especially when recruiting Grunt). It's 'more gun' if you will.
