I have to ask, what has been the most bizzare tactic anyone here has seen a friend or foe try or actually pull off? I had one 3v3 start with an all gatherer rush, we fought them off with ours and they all quit.

In a 2v2 one of our opponents only made marines. Normally this is a very strong early push that really sets you back having to defend from an ever increasing stream of marines.
Except when you make 200/200 food of fully upgraded marine, and then never leave your base with them. When we showed up with collosi and siege tanks they died in about 0.2 seconds.

You really should have herded them with nukes as a fun game.

Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.
I've tried MASS MASS fully upgraded lings in a 2v2. I think if you target weak points in thier play it could work, but as a full frontal (:winky:) assult of pure numbers it's deffeated pretty easily.
In the next expansion there will be water....and boats.
Zerg will get a unit called the megalodonalisk.

Oh how I hated that game. Had a friend that tech quickly to Deathknights then set up proxies and expansions. Death and Decay was everywhere! He could go 2v1 against us and it wouldn't matter.
As I have been playing more and more, it has become apparent to me that Roaches are terribad. Outside of fighting Tossers using High Tossers, there is no point to them.
Having their speed upgrade be T1 would make them better though.
EDIT: It would be nice if Zerg got more creative upgrades.
Zerglings? Speed
Roaches? Speed
Banelings? Speed
Overlords? Speed
plus
Ultralisks in Beta? Speed
Removing the speed upgrades (or making them cheaper/faster to research) would help Zerg so much in the early game.

IMO Roaches would be great again if they were 1 food cost (i.e. early beta) and moving while burrowed wasn't an upgrade.
though i think its more in all of them, because the last bunch are all tied for that spot. So if 1000 folks are in 271,501st place in bronze, theres really 272,501.
diamond is the top 6%ish? wow I want to throw up in my mouth
That sort of makes sense. You try to put a "normalized" curve over plat gold and silver, with plat being $FOO standard deviation above gold and silver being $FOO SDs below. Then you put an outer bound at $BAR*FOO Standard Deviations, then you get thrown in to either bronze or platinum if your play is THAT outside norm. So, Gold would be the "median", and platinum and bronze are outliers and thrown out of the calculations for the normalized curve.
I mean, there is math behind it, and trying to make a normalized curve would be the most sensible thing... Its just surprising that Bronze has that many players in it. (and yes, i'm a bronze...)
I already did the math. As I said before, the average falls right around the 37th rank of Silver.
Edit: Also, would it be a normalized curve for each class? I thought in each class, if you had 50 people at rank 1, you had 50 people at rank 2, 50 at 3,...,50 at 100. Is this not correct?

I think 1.5 food is in order.
Is there anything in the game that does 1.5 food? I thought it was all whole numbers.

so what happens when one dies and you are at 200 food? Now you are at 199.5 food but still cant make any more units?
I dont understand how what you said equates to not being able to make roaches 1.5 food
Oh that single zergling! GAMEBREAKER

I didn't say they wouldn't be able to do it. I'm sure they could. I just bet they'd be resistant to it given that every other unit is only allowed to be made in whole number food supplies.
I just had an hour 10 min game. It just wouldn't end, we mined out the entire map, but he was all mech, and I avoided immortals cause I committed to air too early, and DTs. Seriously mass immortals and I would've just destroyed him.

possibly, they like to do some really random shit sometimes though

zerg's my favorite race and i agree that they feel underdeveloped. hopefully the expansion pack will do something interesting for them cause right now they are totally lame.

Plus, comparing zergling at .5 that must be made in groups of two is different than roaches at 1.5.
Say your true supply was at 199.5. The game shows 200, not 199.5, and that doesn't cause a problem because, since zerglings must be made in groups of two, you can't ever use that .5 extra. But imagine that you could make 1 zergling at a time. Since the game shows you at 200, even though you're really at 199.5, you wouldn't know whether or not you could make another zergling unless you actually tried.
Same with a unit at 1.5 food cost when your at 198.5. The game shows 199, so you wouldn't know that you could create another one unless you tried.
Of course, they could change the game to display your actual supply cost, and show the decimal numbers. But they won't.

I made a handful of fully-upgraded Ultras, 3 of which had over 100 kills each. I think 7 in total were made.

They should also burst into cracklings when they die... and the should be built like a building using Drones.
and you can combine 5 to make a super-omega-ultra-badassalisk
They sumo wrestle on top of a mothership.
But instead of making a bigger Ultralisk, they would stack like a Totem Pole.
When two are stacked, it unlocks the ability to attack air.
When a third Ultralisk is added, they gain Mystical powers.
Zerg will get a unit called the megalodonalisk.
And is it just me or is the games they are watching just boring!
well that is beyond their control...
