I just beat Fable 2, finally, after getting the game like 2 years ago. I am pretty pleased, and will probably continue to get all the tiny things left while I wait for..
FABLE III
fablet.jpg

Fable III comes out October 26, 2010 for the XBox 360. PC date is to be announced. If you're not familiar with the franchise, it's a pretty awesome RPG where you can make choices and dye your hair and kick chickens. Oh, and kill people I guess.

What's the plot for number tres?
wikipedia wrote:
Set approximately 50-60 years after the events of Fable II, the continent of Albion, where the Fable series is set, is currently under the control of Logan, a corrupt, tyrannical king. Logan's sibling, the "Hero" and playable character, is forced into a quest to become a revolutionary leader to defeat the king after an "injustice" happens to their parent, the previous ruler of Albion, believed to be at the hands of Logan. Over the course of the first half of the game, the Hero will gain the people of Albion's support, overthrow Logan and become ruler of Albion him/herself. During the second half of the game, the player will have to choose whether or not to follow up on promises made to the public, at the risk of losing Albion's approval. While dealing with this, the player will also be faced with the possibility of war when "Aurora", a neighboring country, begins to threaten Albion.

So much like the first game, there is an evil to defeat, but then you actually get to become a ruler and make ruler-like decisions! While you could earn the title of King/Queen in Fable 2, it didn't really mean anything other than strangers bothered you EVEN MORE as if that was ever possible. But this time it looks like there are actual diplomatic decisions to be made.

BUT SARA, I HAVE LOTS OF MONEY, IS THERE A COLLECTOR'S EDITION?

Of course there is, you rich motherfucker!
wikipedia wrote:
Two retail versions of the Xbox 360 game have been announced, the first being the Standard Edition which contains the standard game disk, a game manual and standard plastic casing. The second, a "Limited Collector's Edition" will contain a standard game disk, a game manual, a new in-game quest, some limited edition Fable 3 playing cards, a "Guild Seal Coin" with good and evil sides to aid the player in making moral decisions, a new "Boxer" dog breed, and two new outfits; one for male, one female and a new region

If even THAT isn't good enough for you, there is an LE controller that will be released before the game is. It's kind of ugly in a neat way, you know what I mean?

There will also be new DLC's, the first of which being free, like in Fable 2.

FABLE IS DUMB, YOU GET ALL UGLY AND 'ROIDED OUT AND I ONLY LIKE TO BE CUTE IN VIDEO GAMES.
Yeah, my end-game Sparrow looked like a linebacker, too. Though they've released screenshots from the game, no word yet on how maxing out your skills will effect your character visually. I'm hoping they learned the first time, at the very least characters seem easier to look at.

-- SCREENSHOTS --
They are scattered all over the internet, so I'm going to be lazy and give you some LINKS.

here

Okay, I'm sorry, that was lazy of me. Will videos make you feel better?

There's also this cool thing where you can create your own villager, and if you pre-order the game you get a code that allows you to import them into your game! You can make your perfect husband/wife/bff, cool right?

OKAY OKAY ANYWAY, talk about all the Fables you ever Fabled right here.

I'm sure they will still let you sleep with everyone. It'd be silly not to. I mean, they had achievements for debauchery in 2.

Something about Fable II only made it fun the first time through. Probably had something to do with Lady Grey bugging out on my first character.

She got scared of me, but wanted sex, but kept running away, and no matter what I'd do to try and make her happy, she'd just run away, but I didn't want to kill her 'cause she was the only unique lady in the game you could romance.

    Couldn't kill her either.

She left me and ended up randomly coming back. I also chose the option of moving my household to the castle and the game copied her. I now have two annoying and flaky Lady Greys that perplex me.

Was the original concept for fable 3 that you would cover the whole lifespan of a hero, and not this plot? Or is that another molyneaux game?

I think I got her to leave after wailing on her for 5 minutes. I had her at Reaver's house. She stopped running, calmly walked through Bloodstone, into the mansion, down to the basement, and out the secret door.

I half expected her to finally be "fixed" and not run away.

I wish I could screenshot my Fable II character. Super bulky pale dead-looking lady with a halo and white dreadlocks. Terrifying.

I was slightly disappointed with the ending, mainly Reaver because I wanted to shoot him in the mouth 99% of the time.
