I have The Hallowed Seam (PR3) and Fables Covers.
The Hallowed Seam is awesome for seeing all his rough moleskine sketches and some small painting-sketches. I like it a lot. The book just feels substantial. One of my favorites.
Fables Covers I think is even better though. It's all his covers from the Fables comic book series in large sorta glossy prints. It also has the pencils which are extraordinary, and commentary about process. I'm not sure if you can find any of the commentary-stuff in other books; Hallowed Seam has none.
The Fables Covers book is going for $'arm + leg' right now (200+ on Amazon used, WTF!!1one) which is crazy, but I heard that it is getting a reprint in October. I'd wait around til then.
I can really only assume you are staring in some sort of art-cop drama bevo, because thats all i know about beverly hills.
Promo posters are up all ready.
Joke committal,
how dare this sink so close to a BOTP!
I kinda like burbank! The water tower that the animaniacs pop out of is pretty awesome.
and i will never see jay leno on purpose
and if i see him by mistake my eyes will bleed, i'm sure.
The amount of ignorance, racism and total disregard for grammar in the Yahoo news' comments makes me incredibly angry. Have you guys ever read them? I can't believe such horrible people exist!
Also, thanks D-Robe. All those medical bills to get that song surgically removed from my skull are now down the drain...
Sorry, that was my bad. You should do what I do; huff some paint and hit yourself in the head with a brick. Won't get rid of the song, but it'll make you feel less bad about it.

I'm sure you're aimed at one particular group, but I see just as much ignorance and rage in response to a news report focusing on one side of the pond as the other, always from the opposing side. No one can point at someone who farted and proclaim "My farts don't stink."
I've always reserved a special level of 'disapointment in the human race' for reader comments on the internet.

Welcome to California Beavo. Don't forget to try to get over to The Getty before the Gerome show is over (it ends on the 12th of September).
what part of cali are you in? we should maybe have some visits?
I have a vehicle.
I'm living in Beverly Hills, but am doing a course in Burbank, I'd love to check out one of the ateliers though.
I live in Encinitas (San Diego). I grew up in the beach cities of LA though. Actually, if you want to come check out Watts Atelier (it's in Encinitas) at some point James Gurney is going to be doing some lectures and demos here on the 15th of October (or at least this is my understanding, there hasn't been an official announcement). That might be a good day to check it out.
I go up to LA a lot because my family is all up there, and I have to regularly take out my dad's old chevy to keep it running. Though honestly I don't go out to Burbank or Beverly Hills often. I do need to check out CDA at some point though. Maybe we can meet up for lunch one of these days at Philippe's or something.
I never listen to all of my music if I have 500 albums. I do long drives frequently and I like listening to things on shuffle, so I'm sure I'd end up skipping a bunch of music if I had 500 albums. I recently bought a 16gb ZuneHD and couldn't be happier. It holds a lot more music than I'm used to, and is super easy to navigate.
My school's art program sucks. If someone wants to get an art degree they have to take a shitton of beginning classes at the local community college (they have a partnership), which ALWAYS are incompatible with any other classes I want to take. Their language selection is crappy too.
(Which is surreal, since it's all made in China anyway. I've seen big name products that were hundreds of dollars, then the exact same product without the logo for merely dozens of dollars.)

Hooray, I get a product that doesn't work very well for a fraction of the price!

And this rotten fruit is SUCH a steal as well!
I feel more strongly about posh excess that proclaims that everything must cost 5x more for 1.5x the quality. I adjust my $8 spectacles angrily at you, good sir. Also, I am poor.

It goes without saying, I know, but make suuuuuuuuuuuuure you find a shit-hot artist to do the work.

OoooOOOo. When you do get it, post a bunch of pics. I gotta know how it turns out.

For example: Yahoo, CNN, Youtube: horrible.
Autoblog, Joystiq: Not quite as bad.

I like this one

I wonder how long until someone does some "pixel" art with a bunch of them
just moving them around or maybe with the video player
no, mortgages need to be paid, sir
but if I had the time, I totally would call up people across campus who are getting one and try to work something out
the nanos are pretty, but they can't hold all me music
do they have a radio on the classics yet?
also I am loving everything about this Intuos4
including rougher surface too
Tam, let's be Intuos4 friends. We'll build a tree house. Or just draw one. Wait I think you already did draw a tree house. Nevermind.
MmmnopeNoThanks.

So tiny... it looks like you'd need baby fingers for accuracy on that screen.
