Awesome so far! The past couple of days have been fun. Although the whole thing went by so fast that I'm still trying to take in the fact that I'm married. It feels like I waited four hours for a roller coaster that only lasted 30 seconds.

    Congrats Peter! All the best!

    edit: also, nice ring!

Rings were being heavily discussed at the stag do I was at this weekend. Two of my friends have each recently lost their wedding rings because they slipped off their fingers while they were in the sea! Crazy that it happened twice!

megalomaniacal aspirations under spoiler that make me look insane
Well, I've thought about starting an indie studio and had some people talk to me about it but I'd rather either wiggle up into an ownership sort of position in an already established studio or buy one out with a partner. Starting an indie studio of my own just seems too risky and I'd rather be part of something that already has some measure of success, though I totally admire people who actually make it work and I'm sure you will, you seem to know what the fuck you're doing and are passionate about it :3

    I mean
    uh
I will give you $999,999.00 pieces of sand for your studio

Well, I'm doing it with my buddy who did Capsized with me, and we have a publisher lined up for that and future projects.

So it's not exactly like we're jumping blindly into the deep end.

I just played a bit of the scott pilgrim game. It's not bad.

Also I would love to be involved with game development.

I need to find a trade and stick to it. I'm one of those guys who has a dozen things he's okay at, but nothing he's good at. Sigh.

Ever go to do a thing, like make a card for a casual barely-friend for some occasion, with every intention of just phoning it in so you have something, and then scope creep finds you 3 hours in to some huge elaborate thing compelling you to press on because you've invested so much time already?

One time, I was making thank you cards for some art program instructors. I was still in a creative mode, so I started doing some crafty stuff to the cards. When I gave them out, most of the instructors were like, "Thanks", but this one instructor said, "People are going to think you're sucking-up." o_O

I was enjoying myself making those cards, and I like being appreciative and nice to people. That jaded instructor shouldn't have been so presumptive. Sometimes, things are exactly as they appear.
