I suppose that there aren't many companies which have to deliver content and services twenty four hours a day and in such large quantities as Valve does.
Google obviously is in a similar boat, but they've got access to a lot more resources.
I mean, hundreds of thousands of people downloading multi-gigabyte games almost constantly? And the dedicated servers and community service. I'm surprised they cope as well as they do.
This is most common in flight simulators and space games. You know, where's it's actually useful.
In fact, I'm sure they only put it into ARMA for the helicopter/plane flying sections.
It is actually really awesome for infantry too. I can keep my gun tracked in one direction and still look around, and then just snap back and be looking down the sights again without having to reaquire.
And I'm not even talking about TrackIR. I just hold Alt down to look around.
35 seconds in this shows the mapping with TrackIR. It's far from 1:1.
Does anyone know anything about the Hunter: The Demon's Forge game? It looks kinda cool, and the video shows the Big Horn Guy from Legend.
It looks kinda cool, a friend and I were debating on picking it up since it has co-op but we decided to wait until it's released and some reviews are out since it's $50 and we didn't want to drop it on an unknown game.
Why would Arma 2 let your head swivel that far? I thought it was all realistic and shiz?

Think of it as shifting your view and not just your neck, using your torso as well as your head. In real life, you can easily look around behind you while oriented in the opposite direction, and peek around corners and stuff using your upper body. Heck, even just using your head with your torso locked, you still have a wide range using your eyes+peripheral vision.

Also, think of it as a video game cause in real life I can't fly an A10 Warthog with a mouse either. :P

Is there a list of the games which support Steamworks and can therefore be bought retail and then downloaded on Steam?
Also, my Steam Worms Reloaded entry doesn't have a proper icon for the large icons view. It looks as if I've added it as a non-steam game, which I haven't. Is this normal? I'm sure it had a proper image icon at one point.
I'd've gone with heathens, but otherwise, liminess resides here.
Infidels?
*Says in Achemed voice*
Spacebar is for crouch. RMB is for jump.
You are a monster.
A monster who also has damn good taste for spacebar and RMB binds.
How do you alt fire? HOW DO YOU ALT FIRE?!?!
a pedal operated by the big toe of your left foot, obviously
You know that digit that we humans have that help separate us from lesser animals that is commonly known as a thumb? My mouse just so happens to have two buttons for that.
Also, I've started not reading the steam sales posts because I never seem to play the games I buy so cheaply. I'm a bad person.

I tried both of those before uninstalling. It didn't work. Hopefully this will work now...
Edit: Hooray! Steam is back up and running. I wonder what made it fuck up before, though?

Honestly I'm tempted to buy this.
it was more that his clan and many others played so much that they had to come up with a bind that didn't make their fingers hurt
Dudes be crazy.

Was it me? I'm okay with that because that show sucks.

Seriously. A reference of a show that's nothing more than a string of references and dead air.
That's pretty impressive stuff. Also, I want my Arma II to look as good as his.
Sure reminds me of that one time when <RANDOM BULLSHIT THAT DOESN'T KNOW WHEN IT SHOULD END>
There, now I made a reference to every episode ever.
And awkward = lolz apparently.

With big bold letters.
Edit: Also it should be under a brightly colored header, like a FAQ.

Steam is like reverse piracy. Instead of not paying for games I play, I pay for games I don't play.
