It would be interesting if that Eyebot was from the West, went out East and made it all the way back West.

Only to find out the Enclave had been absolutely demolished by the growing NCR or BoS. I hope to never see them as a big bad again, they've had their try and both time proved pretty stupid enemies.

I don't know if it'd have proper speaking abilities, but it'd have some real stories to tell after all that.

The enclave has pretty much been smashed everywhere, I think the only presence of the enclave is that eyebot, and a few suits of Enclave PA maybe in use of a deserter squad (Maybe).

I really hope they don't use the enclave as a major faction anymore. I am so tired of their mustache twirling.

As far as I know one of the F2 endings suggests
that some Enclave members join up with the NCR if you're evil and make it even more corrupt than it already is. Maybe this angle will be somehow incorporated into NV. After all, it seems unlikely that you wiped out 100% of Enclave personnel and equipment - they've got to go somewhere.

Actually the enclave ITSELF doesn't exist anymore but there are still members that survived it. At most there will be only a really small group left. They will NOT be appearing as a faction.

Arcade Gannon (Zach Levi) is such an Ex-Enclave and a possible companion.

See at this point you would think any remaining enclave bases would either be destroyed militarily by wasteland factions (like NCR), or be absorbed by them.

If I'm an enclave soldier out with my 4 enclave buddies and hear that home base just vanished in a mushroom cloud, and know the brotherhood probably wants my head, I'm heading to NCR to get a job

Not to mention that the East coast BoS has a better set-up than anybody, except the NCR.

They've got endless supplies of recruits as they use locals, the absolute top of the line tech from the Enclave, they have an endless pure water supply, they've got countless high end military installations in arm's reach (Pentagon, Fort Constantine, AAF Base, etc), the D.C. Wasteland greenery might make a come back thanks to Harold, they know where the super mutants are coming from, have access to plans and parts of a giant death machine, know how to make and stole a bunch of vertibirds, possible control over an orbital bombardment system, a sample of FEV to work with, and if Ashur stops being a douchebag they'd have a nearby source of metal works.

Their only competition are strict BoS traditionalists who're basically being beat up by raiders in a dinky little fort.

    Did I miss anything?

The East coast BoS will probably outlast anybody else at this rate. Also the Mid-West guys from Tactics, if they're considered official lore, are pretty well set in a similar situation.

The power armors are pre-war tech. the BOS simply maintained them throughout the years, though doing so with limited resources is hard. The Enclave on the other hand has been making newer armors throughout the years since leaving their military equipped Vault. In Fallout 2, they just finished the Tesla Armor by the end of the game, and even then, it was scarcely used in Fallout 3. Then there was the Hellfire Armor, which was outfitted and distributed during the Broken Steel portion of Fallout 3.

Meanwhile, the BOS had to make do with the T51-b's and T45-d's, the former being harder to come by and harder to maintain and repair.

The worst part of the raiders is that they weren't organized. They were not the "Raiders" by name and faction. They were all just anarchic raiders.

Which is just dumb as all hell, because what they basically said is that the raiders are a faction onto themselves, as opposed to roving bands and psychotics and dangerous people. They should have had a faction dynamic for them. Raider gang X can be found in areas A through B, gang Y in C through D, etc. They were onto something with the Sudden Death Overtime gang, and should have taken it further.

Also, the Talons were engaged with the Outcasts and the Brotherhood. They have countless camps, traps and hit squads wandering around.

Yet we have a group like the Regulators (which was possibly the dumbest name Bethesda could have used, considering there was already a group named that), who are supposed to be real dangerous but will only ever show up as hit squads that are completely inefficient. They're really just some dudes hanging out on a ranch.

Fallout 3's factions were pretty awful. It would have been nice, if after helping the BoS take Fort Bannister, wiping out each and every Talon camp and smashing their squads, they'd just piss off. Also awful is how despite numerous factions existing, you can't so much as wave hello to any of the "evil" groups.

Edit: Also, playing F1 was made me decide that Hardcore Mode can get fucked. I'm sick of fidgeting with my inventory because ammo takes up all my space. Its not extra difficulty, its an extra annoyance.

The raider lifestyle is unsustainable unless there were regular civilians to prey on. Caravans to hijack, settlements to steal from, etc. If there wasn't any signs of civilization around, they'd either have to move and find someone to prey on, or settle down and quit being raiders in order to survive.

As for Talon Company, they're...well...they're funded. They are backed by unknown third-parties. We already know that they can be hired for unsavory jobs, and that there are factions that exist in the Fallout world who are wealthy enough to afford their services and/or supply them.

Ammo being weightless is what broke the economy in FO3 for me. There isn't a single playthrough where after a couple of hours of killing shit I don't have more money than god, because of all the extra ammo I am carrying (which is basically money at that point). It should at least take a little effort to break the games economy, which is something that basically inevitably happens in all fairness.

See, the problem I have is that it does nothing to discourage me. I am a packrat. This is what I do.

I went into the Glow 3 damn times, so I could pull out all the items. I have stashes all across the Wasteland of things I don't even care to sell, but I keep track of and keep adding to them. They're filled with everything ranging from 10mm pistols to gatling lasers.

Yeah, Hardcore Mode just ain't for me.

I'd also like to add that the way the Fallout 3 (and Oblivion) gameworlds forget your in-world stashes and shit you leave around is fucking awful. I should be able to use any container I damn well please to stash things, and I should be able to leave things on the ground for future use. I'm sure there is some technical programming reason this isn't happening, but since Bethesda can't manage ladders and similar open worlds have no issue with it, I don't care for any technical failures.

GFWL can get fucked after what it put me through with red faction guerilla. I tried to play, it told me I had to patch, so I did, failed with a corrupted download, tried again, same thing (taking well over half an hour each time), decided 'fuck it I'll just play anyway', it warned me that I wouldn't be signed in to GFWL but didn't inform me that this meant that I couldn't save. Autosave notifications still popped up, but then after several hours of playing I went to save and leave and found out haha nope you've just fucking wasted several hours of your life!

Most GFWL issues seem to be because it sucks ass connected to the internet. My advice is never do this.

I only use it in local mode, which has saved me from having any saving issues in any GFWL I've used. I wouldn't touch any autopatching, if GFWL has it. I haven't had any issues with patching so far, thankfully.

Also, Bethesda and Obsidian are known for not fixing all their bugs. So, get the PC version for the unofficial patch.

Weighted ammo only works in games where bullets actually kill. That sort of thing works in the STALKER games where you only carry a few guns and each one is pretty lethal, but bullets in FO3 are so ineffective that weighted ammo would just be painful. And upping weapon damage to compensate would be nightmarish since you usually fight a good half-dozen enemies at once; the game would basically have to be set so you take something like six times less damage than enemies so you don't instantly die in every fight.
