Ok, I'm attempting to insure my cat. When I got her as a kitten, I simply went with Tesco Pet Insurance cause they were cheap. Now the year is up and the premium's gone up and I've never claimed etc. And looking up reviews of them leads me to think they're not ideal...
So here's my problem. I don't really know what to look for in Pet Insurance. I mean, less than £10 would be awesome and I've heard that it's better to get "Lifetime Cover" but which ones are truly lifetime and which are bullshitting me?
Recommend me some Pet Insurance H/A, you're my only hope!
(Oh, in the UK of course)
I just checked here in the US and it's apparently $13/mo for a 3 year old cat. I personally do not have pet insurance, though, since my cats are indoor only (and are well-trained so don't go outside even if the door is open). I know in the UK y'all like to let your cats outside which introduces a lot more disease and accidents into the picture, which usually creates higher insurance rates.
If you find the cost high, a better question might be to ask why you're looking at pet insurance. I love my little guys but they do, sadly, have an upper limit for vet expenses, especially since older pets that experience some trauma or serious disease recover poorly (since they're not human and don't have the same motivations as people do, since people understand recovering from illness etc.). Even though I have some friends who have spent thousands on a pet, none of them have been compelled to buy pet insurance.
d'awwwwww! (sorry, I have no experience with pet insurance but that is a really cute cat!)

I am interested in pet insurance in America if anyone has experience with that instead. Just FYI! I just got renters insurance so why not insure my two bundles of joy, one of which cost me $200 this week.

I wouldn't bother insuring a cat, especially an indoor one, but I've had both of my dogs insured with VPI and been pretty happy.
They're sticklers about pre-existing conditions though, which sucks for my dog now since he's got vet bills all over the place because of allergies.
