anyone know how to get that nice picture background map on that site?
Is this it?
Pulled from the css for that page.
oo preeeettyy,
Yes that's it, but there is more to it. they have the whole world map on there, guess it's chopped up into pieces. enable scripts for nintendo.com and it lets you scroll around the map depending on which section on top you click
Didn't you see that Fygg falling into the sea in the closing scenes? Go talk to Jonah, like immediately. It should be the first thing you do once you hit the pre-game content.
Oh, Duh. I saw that and I thought "Ooooooh pretty Fygg." I also found the credits quite riveting:P

Also, don't forget to check Stornway's stores. There might be a few surprises for you there.
What level should I probably be before attempting the boss of Masayuki's map? I'd like to finish it so I could share it at the mall event this weekend. I'm probably going to end up going to the Ontario one.
Finally beat the game. Man it seemed like it took forever.
Corvus killed me three times before I succeeded. Anyone else take multiple tries?
I got him on my second go, mostly because he didn't spam his sleep attack on the return trip.
I'm on attempt #4. I lost to him last night after a 30+ min fight. It ended with him pulling his AOE magic blast right out of his ass with my Priest's Coup de Grace queued. My wife heard the "NOOOOOOOOOOOO" in the basement, I was on the 2nd floor.
My martial artist goes before the wolf. I'd have to make someone else do it, ugh.
Just switch his class so his agility is shitty or give someone else a meteorite bracer to pump agility he still has the war cry ability, and anyone can kill the wolf inbetween, you just need this order.
War cry
Player to kill wolf.
wolf can go before or after that setup. it doesnt have to be the same character to kill the wolf.
BTW, got that LMS farming spot to start working. thanks much.
Okay! New tag mode event this weekend! Anybody who lives around Cincinnati should know it's taking place at Gamestop in Kenwood, same place the one for the Zoma map took place. Anyone know what the Legacy boss for this one is? (crosses fingers for Ogrodemir)

Sage at 35, tension boosted to 50, Armor and Spell Resist down twice on the foe, used Pally's ult--Solar Flair--which crit!: 1180 Damage.
Gotta say it's fun to do more than 1k damage, but now I'm totally confused about what Solar Flair is supposed to be. I figured it was a spell-like, but spells crit by going haywire, not a "critical hit!" declaration. Should I feed mp to my gladiator and give him the scroll instead?

Noooo! Neglected to check this thread last night, and totally missed this. I live like less than five minutes away from there, too.
I'm considering picking this up. From the sound of things, though, there's a decent amount of stuff you get through the tag mode. If it's unlikely I'll ever end up going to any events where I will ever participate in that, will I be losing out on a ton of content?
Guh. Money. So many nice items in Upover. Is it worth it to grind up my teams gear before pushing on?
Not really. My team was equipped with mostly patchwork equipment for the whole game. Hell, most of my stuff is still junk I picked up and I'm pretty far into the post game.

When you first enter palace, head east/right. THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT. Follow the hall way all the way north until you get to the stair case.
Go up the stairs.
Against the northern wall, there is a book shelf. I don't have my DS in front of me, but as memory serves there aren't too many options at this point. At any rate, to your left the carpet drops down to the first floor with a bunch of chests. DON'T DROP DOWN, I KNOW IT'S TEMPTING.
Instead, go to the north and look for an old map hanging on the wall. To the east (or the right, if cardinal directions aren't your bag) of that map sits your hallowed bookshelf of Sage guidance. Talk to it. Caress it. Be one with it. It will show you the way.
When you enter the palace, head left. Hit up all the barrels on the way over. You'll eventually reach stairs up, take them. You'll end up overlooking the room with chests, drop down into it and open the chests. Then head right out of the room, and take the staircase up. You'll be in the room with the bookshelf.
I was looking all around the middle part that you take to get to the king. now that I have it, does it have to be frizz or can it be like kafrizz. it's got the word frizz in it

As Vyolynce said, it must be Frizz.
Either do about 650 points of damage then start in with the Frizz, or do as Vyolynce said and do a Tension charged Frizz (after about 300-400 damage?)
Are there a lot of bosses or enemies that do tension reducing moves later in the game? All my characters are learning egg on so I can boost my main dmg dealer on bosses. It's also been nice when I have some people boost my casters so I can do a nice AOE spell for grinding.

There are several bosses that use Disruptive Wave, which negates all of your buffs (and debuffs), plus tension. It's a damned nuisance, but you get used to it.
How do you teach other people Egg On? Is it a Minstrel thing? That's the only guy in the party who has it, but I figured he got it because he's the main character.
So there was a strange box waiting for me when I got home from work today. No return address was on it and the address label was nondescript. Inside was a DQ9 cap.
Given the fit, I'm not sure it's meant for adults and given the mysterious origin I'm somewhat afraid that it's a brain slug in a clever disguise but hey, free slime cap.
Fucking liquid metal slime motherfucking pieces of shit I hate them so much
liquid metal slime killing got a lot easier once my pc learned have a ball. does 3-5 damage every time. now I kill them every time unless they flee on the first time which is impossible to kill.
First: The MC is the only one who can learn Egg On.
Second: Disruptive Wave is pretty much the only thing that makes late and post game bosses challenging. I can roll them in 3-5 turns (depending on HP) if they don't use it.

It's on the eastern side of the second floor as soon as you climb the stairs directly to the right of a map on the wall.

It's on the second floor, back part of the oval, above the six treasure chests.

Must actually be Frizz.
