Picked up a G15 Keyboard. Don't know If I like it, mainly because of all the G buttons on the left side. I keep hitting one of the G buttons instead of Control, or 1, or ~, or Esc.

Also, pretty crappy day for me today. Got to wake up to a busted water pipe in my garage. Water everywhere. Spent the entire morning vacuuming water out of my carpet. And I kind of suspect there is a busted pipe in my floor that is leaking up to where I pulled the water out.

Then I played some games of SC2. First game I win pretty handily vs a protoss. Second game I lose to a Muta/Bling zerg. Pretty badly, those damn blings owned all my hydras.

Then I discovered why Zealots are getting that nerf. Holy shit 2gate harass is strong as hell. Dude had 3 zealots sitting at my ramp real early. Then lead my 5 roaches on a merry little chase, didn't want him to just run up into my base but I shoulda have just went straight to his and started killing shit. Anyway, He 2 gate into expand and put up cannons. It was a real close game, but I felt behind the entire time, well because I was for the most part.

Then lost another ZvZ where I went Muta/bling but lost to Hydra/roach. Little frustrating.

But seriously, I'll upload that protoss guys vid. He was pretty damn good. It's a good game, and he wins it with 2 really well placed Storms that I let kill all my hydras.

    repimg-33-144735.jpg

You'll notice that my resources skyrocket there for a while. I'm going to blame it on my larva. So Often I had tons of money but no larva to use and no buildings I needed to make. At the end I just plop down hatches, which I should have done earlier. + I get supply blocked a couple times, =\. For the most part though we are both macroing up hard and have a couple good fights.

As a zerg player my 3 do-not-play maps are Lost Temple, Kulas Ravine, and Delta Quadrant. All of those maps are ballsacks. I hate Desert Oasis too but after a shit game of DQ that supplanted my third "ban" slot.

Almost lost this one because I didn't have a response, but I did have quite a few speedlings..

Checking someone's match history doesn't really tell the whole story though. Raelcun is probably one of the more knowledgeable casters out there and he's only played like 20 games on the ladder.

Overseer is your only mobile option as zerg. Spore crawlers work for static defenses at home although it's usually more reasonable to just make another overseer that you can move around your base unless you're facing a substantial air threat.

Delta = free protected expansion for terran and toss. Can there be a few maps that totally favor zerg?

Why isn't it protected for Zerg....?

It is, Ezekiel has no idea what he is talking about. A protected expansion is BETTER for Zerg, because they have the hardest time protecting it from Terran and Protoss aggression. Delta Quadrant is a great map for Zerg in general; it is big, has lots of expansions and a fairly wide open centre.

Except that you're DELAYED in getting that expo by a rock. Terran and toss know you have to 1base for a lil while, and abuse it. They lock themselves in, and nothing you can do until much later in the game to deny them the money flow. Meanwhile, if you want to keep up with that econ, you have to move to the base outside, which is totally exposed.

And no, it isn't BIG. It's a tiny map.

Expand to the other natural first. If they lock themselves in you have an easy natural and third base. You can take map control and have a strong game from there. The outside base is no more exposed than most maps in the pool. It's a bit far from the ramp but nothing that is exceptionally hard to defend. I'll admit that the huge cliff on the protected expansion is bad, but it's hard to defend for every race.

You're right that I don't main Zerg, but I used to play them and I'd say I am decently strong. I am basing my opinions from my experience watching other Zerg play on the map. I'd be happy to go over and play the map with you to figure out a good way for Z to play it.

Aaaaahhaha... Was just in one of my random diamond 2v2s as Toss, and my terran partner disconnected before he had even finished his wall-off.

I decided to make 4 barracks and just go "marine marine lol"

Combined with a flood of zealots and stalkers from warpgates, I fought the two toss opponents for 25 minutes and eventually prevailed. Felt so good! I was tempted to just drop at the beginning, but for some reason I held out. It was surprisingly powerful to be able to control all the units at once in a 2v2. I made a dense ball of Toss and Terran military might.

Can you share control like that even when your partner is there?
