Telltale released a trailer for this.

Not sure if I like what I see. Tycho sounds nothing like what I expected (what did I expect? I do not know), and Heavy sounds off.

    Wow, that is weird

Without Valve-quality facial animation, the Heavy just looks off, and yeah, his voice sounds weird too. Not as throaty and phlegmy as usual

He has to be the same guy, though. They wouldn't be that stupid

Tycho sounds good, though. Closer to how I always imagined him than I thought they'd land

Maybe this is Heavy's Indoor voice. Afterall, he's normally yelling whenever we hear him in TF2.

    True enough

It's probably easier to yell in that voice than to just talk in it

I'm pretty fond of the Heavy's voice. It sounds a lot like how he did in the Meet the Heavy video.

No complaints about Tycho, I never really had a voice in mind for him to begin with.

I don't know, Tycho sounds appropriately dramatic. Guess I need to hear more, but it doesn't seem entirely off to me.

It is really bumming me out though that the Heavy's facial animation isn't as good as Source engine stuff

It's so weird to see him flapping his lips like it's 2003 again

Yeah, that is completely the wrong voice for Tycho, IMO. It's a little too.. normal, everyday guy, I guess?

I'd honestly rather have Jerry do the voice, if it came down to it.

I'm guessing that it's safe to assume that the items are redeemable if you pre-order the game from Telltale instead of Steam. I'm not sure how that worked back with the Sam & Max items.

The combination of the fact that Heavy isn't screaming like usual and the fact that sometimes the voice is hard to perfectly replicate after not doing it for a while, as has happened before between TF2 updates, is probably the reason why Schwartz's voice sounds off.

As for Tycho, I think he sounds fine. Deeper than I expected, yes, but still okay. Long as the dialogue's on par with what one would expect from PA, I got no problems with Chaikin being the one to deliver it.

Also, anyone notice Bluster Blaster and Flint Paper in the background, as well as portraits of Sam & Max and the mermaid from ToMI? Wonder what other cameo characters are hanging around the Inventory...

Heavy is passable, but TYCHO'S VOICE IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Totally not right and has in fact turned me off buying the game. I don't want to hear that voice in my head every time I read a PA comic.

I always hear Will Arnett's voice when reading Tycho. I think it's pretty suitable for him.

The voice in that video is... kind of close but definitely sounds off.

But this game is just a poker game, nothing more, right? If so, then it's a big let down for me.

Tycho sounds...well enough, if they had to give him a voice. I would've kind of preferred speech bubbles only for him, actually.

I mean, the whole reason PA Adventures wasn't voiced is because they wanted PA fans to fill in their own voices in their heads.

I can't 100% accurately describe how I envision Tycho's voice to be, but I'd say it's most comparable to Dante Hicks from the Clerks films and series.

Funny how Poker Night jumps to the second spot of the top seller list after it's announced that it'll award TF2 unlocks.

Watching the trailer again, I noticed that the picture on the queen is from the calendars in the TF2 spawn rooms. That's kinda neat.

They ended up giving everybody who pre-ordered the game from Telltale a copy of the game on Steam. It was sort of a last minute thing, I imagine they'd have a better plan worked out for this go-around.

Yep, I get the feeling that guaranteed it'll sell really well.

True, the facial animation is off, but I'm glad everyone's in their respective styles (i.e. various levels of cel-shading) and that Tycho is allowed to pretty much be Tycho, even with the bleeping.

I didn't like Tycho's voice at first, because it was way too deep and dramatic... then I realized he was doing a Thing, and in regular speaking like you hear right after that it's actually not too bad.
