I'd be down for that (depending on how late you guys will be playing, I'm staying at the Red Lion but I will be getting into the airport late thrudsay night at 9pm + baggae + light rail = I won't be at the hotel until around 10im - 11pm-ish). I'm by myself this year so it'd be nice company to meet up with fellow PAXers!

Possibly interested here. Staying a few blocks away but my group will be looking to do something after the pre-PAX dinner (not really feeling the bar crawl) and board games are always top of the list. Will keep an eye on this thread.

How far is this from the convention place? I'm staying in the Sheraton right next to it.

I will be bringing Death Angel and a deck of playing cards for The Resistance for sure. I'm still deciding what else to bring, but probably some games for lines like Zombie Dice, Spot It, and/or Bananagrams. I may or may not bring Thunderstone+expansion.

I will edit this post as I decide on what to bring.

I'm coming in on the PAX train Thursday night, so I'd probably be late.

Alright, I'm gonna elevate this to "For sure gonna happen" Thursday night. Also it seems like people will be showing up a little later, So maybe if we start at nine it gives people a chance to show up later or relax at their hotel for an hour after the Pre-PAX dinner. The trade off is that some people from the dinner might lose interest before it happens. What do you guys think?

Realized today I'm gonna have to check my luggage, what with all the board games.

Sure! I've been looking for something to do Thursday night that didn't involve bars I can't go to anyways. ^_^ I've always wanted to play the Pandemic board game. I can bring Cthulhu Munchkin +Call of Cowthulhu expansion (even though it's not *technically* a board game) if people want.

Sounds good, card games are always cool with me. I'd even be up for a PnP game of some sort if anyone was running one.

The Sheraton is sandwiched between the convention center and the Red Lion (the block to your right is the convention center, the block to your left is the Red Lion). All you have to do is go around the corner and across the street.

You know, I've never brought my Magic the Gathering cards to PAX (this will be my third year, I played in college but ALWAYS got trounced, but darn it if I wasn't a geek for the whole Magic mythos, so I love the game no matter how bad I am at it), but know what? I just might bring a deck or two this year.

    I'll probably pop in.
I'm not doing anything Thursday after the dinner (Under 21 :|)
So I think I would be down for some munchkin and things, even though i'm not much of a board game player.
I guess there won't be a better time to learn some new games :P

Honestly, I would say you should just start after dinner. The train can be fickle so I can't be sure what time I'll actually get to Seattle. Last time I went to Seattle, the train was early by an hour or so, but it could also end up being late.

Just start playing as soon as people show up. Just leave the really long games like BSG till more people show up or something.

I was driving some out-of-towner friends around, and I kept complaining about being blinded. They responded with "You see, where we come from, people tend to wear Sunglasses." I retorted with a simple "You people tend to have sun."

I'll try to come by! I think I'll have Red Dragon Inn 1 & 2 with me. Although I'd also bring Fury of Dracula, if people want to play. I have a lot of fun playing Dracula in that game, and seeing what approaches different players bring to the chase.

I so want to do this. I love boardgames and have not gotten enough of them lately. Unfortunately I dont think I'll be able to make any of them. PAX days just don't have enough hours in them. I'll do my best to stop by for a round of BSG. I've never played the expansion. Is it worth it, or is the base game better?

I'll keep an eye on this thread. Have fun guys.

Brian & I are staying at the Sheraton, but I don't know that we'll be able to bring any of our boardgames with us. I'll have to see if there's room in the luggage once we're otherwise-done-packing. Also, gotta check with MNC Dover before we bring "our" copy of BSG (if we bring it) since he owns the main game and our group all chipped in on the Pegasus expansion. If he's cool with it & there's room in the luggage, I might bring that for anyone who would rather stay in the Sheraton. Otherwise, I'll try to talk Brian into heading over to Red Lion.

My wife and I would be interested in board games as well. We're staying at the Olympian, (no idea where that is in relation to the Sheraton, as this is our first time in Seattle and first Pax Prime as well, obviously). so I'm not sure how far of a walk it would be for us to get there though.
