So my girlfriend and I were having sex today with a condom (regular Trojans, not spermicidal), as usual. Today, it suddenly felt different, and we realized the condom had slipped off. We stopped as soon as we felt the change, I didn't come.
She isn't on birth control. I purchased Plan B as soon as I could, and she is going to take it tonight so she can take the second pull at the designated time twelve hours later next morning. The pharmacist said that pregnancy tests require you to wait until after her missed period, so I didn't pick one up yet--her period is in a week or two. Will I be okay?
Not coming + plan B applied immediately means that you're in fairly good shape. No guarantees, of course, but don't panic for now.
I'd suggest that you ask your girlfriend to start in on the pill, if there isn't a good reason that she stay off it. Redundancies aren't always bad things.
You should almost definitely be fine, so don't worry. If she's stressing over this, her period might be late, which will only make you both stress more.
I second the above poster's advice about her getting on some BC. I personally use a NuvaRing, which only requires me to think about it twice a month (it's a vaginal ring you leave in for three weeks then take out for one) - it's very effective when used right and it's really easy to use right!
She had been planning on going on BC next time she went to her doctor, but now she's going to make an appointment specifically for. Neither of us own a car so transportation is a little difficult.
When people are saying "probably" here, they're talking, like. 99.999% chance there's no pregnancy.
We couch, because there's always the possibility, but the likelihood that, between pulling out and Plan B, she somehow managed to get pregnant is ridiculously low.

Yeah, pretty much. I just don't want to be the jerk who was wrong that one out of 100 000 times. :?

I do the same thing. I'm not blaming anyone, just helping the OP to relax a bit. :P
or other equally effective method of birth control. i like to recommend the nuva ring but i guess all girls react differently to all methods of estrogen based birth control.
my brothers girlfriend works at a hospital where they are researching the efficacy of a YEAR ROUND ring type of bc, that you never have to take out. that would be boss.
All this NuvaRing love makes me really happy. It is seriously a really convenient method with minimal side effects; among all the women I know who use it only one has had any problems with it, and that problem was some minor spotting that cleared up after the first month. Highly recommended. :^:

My fiancee uses it too... no babies for us yet, and her side effects were minimal as well. She's been using it for 2 years, and it's great.
On a side note though, if you (or she) are a bit forgetful, buy a calendar and write notes on when the rings should be going in and coming out.
Some girls have really bad side effects when they go on the pill though. From what my friends have told me it differs to each of them, theres a huge list of possible side effects, they may get none, all of them or a few of them.
I have been down that road and I agree with menthol, Nuva ring is the bomb.
Most likely you are going to be ok, the only fluids would be precum which in many cases don't have sperm. If it is comforting do the math in your head (that is what i use to do). The chances are very very minimal since you reacted quickly. Plan B only starts to loose effect after 3 days I believe. So don't worry!
I have had some startling side effects from plan B however where a period follows a week after you take it.
Stress, for example the stress of thinking you might have accidentally gotten pregnant when the condom slipped, can have a major delaying effect on the timing of a period. During my worst exam weeks in college, I was sometimes off by a week and some change.

If there was no semen, and she took the pills, you're in the clear for sure.

Thank you guys for your input.

And the great thing about it is it's lower dose than the pill.
Which means that those few chicks who are rendered psychotic and/or depressed or gain a metric ton on the pill have minimal side effects.
seriously. The pill is like... archaic, now.
You're not L33T enough for IDI/RN FTP!

Good luck!
Sure it could. So could stress about being maybe pregnant. Or any number of other things.
It would delay and wont alter it, it is just a high dosage of estrogen fast. It won;t be eliminated.
