I just read that this is supposed to be true as of today, 8/31/2010, but I was wondering if there was an official PSN release calendar I could reference. I am at work right now and can't just log on my PS3 to check anything, nor do I really know how to do this. I don't have a 360 and have been looking forward to this release for a while now, but have no known means with which to do so.
I am similarly handicapped. Please let it be true!

I dunno about official, but Wikipedia has it listed as being released today
Well, if this is true, I will be home in just under 5 hours, and my PSN is the same as my forum name here, if anyone wants to crash some fucking castles!

Maaaaan.
I'm looking forward to this actual release so hard but I can't find much on it beyond what's already in this thread.
I don't know that the delay on getting the game to the PS3 was Sony's fault, particularly. Behemoth are just terrible for releases. Yes, they're an indie developer, and yes they have a small team of people who actually WORK on their games, but I've seen companies just as small pull some amazing stuff in shorter time frames.
How long did it take Behemoth to patch their multiplayer issues on the x360? I'm not at all shocked it took them over a year to put out the PS3 version since their initial announcement.
I think I prefer Scott Pilgrim. Castle Crashers is a better games in a lot of ways, but I think I prefer the gameplay in Scott Pilgrim. Also, I find Castle Crashers' art style really hard to read, the game makes my eyes super tired.
I just downloaded the demo for this. It is really awesome, and it looks amazing.
I will hopefully get the full game soon.

Beat this on normal mode. It was exactly what I liked in this kind of game but just an ounce too easy, but I haven't tried the insane mode yet so it's probably overall made exactly to my taste. I preferred this game's power progression to Scott Pilgrim, though SP's blind run was pretty decent. This feels like I can play through it multiple times and not completely own everything in half seconds like you can in SP once you max str out.
I still dont get why there is or was so much love for this game. I mean its not a bad game, but its pretty much a newgrounds flash game... Which is really about it.

It has a nice art style, is fun to play, and has great music?

Also easy to play.
And it's humorous. And has 4 players local co-op (or online co-op but I didn't play much of that due to the whole "online doesn't work" thing that happened when it was first released). Co-op makes almost ANY game fun, no matter how shitty it is (and this one isn't shitty to begin with).
Fixes some glitches, adds a team battle for arenas, a news ticker, and some avatar awards.
Also serves as a compatibility patch for three new DLC characters:
*The Pink Knight is FREE and comes with four weapons (five if you don't have the lollipop from the King DLC)
*The Purple Knight is 160 points and claims it comes with five weapons but only seems to come with four.
*Hatty hasn't been released yet, but we know he comes with some weapons and a Golden Whale animal orb.
The Title Update page doesn't mention it, but the Golden Sword and Golden Mace had their stats nerfed to the PS3 versions, and you can also now get two new weapons (Wooden Sword and Wooden Mace, the first of which is bought at the first store in Insane Mode, and the second is dug up in the undead cyclops boss room).
Edit: They also added a button to instantly warp back to the starting castle on the map page.

Maaaaan.
The online battle mode sucks though, or at least most of the people who play it do.

This right here. So much fun playing dis game.
Yes it is coming out on PSN today.
When do PAL get it?
That said, anything new being bundled with the release? They doing anything different?
I might soon be $15 be poorer. But one more copy of castle crashers richer.
Though I'll wait and see how the internet play works, hopefully it's not a repeat of the LIVE debacle.

I'm still waiting for Limbo, which will probably never happen- or will happen after an epochal delay as we've just witnessed with Castle Crashers.
Meanwhile Bangai-O HD just got announced, and surprise! No mention of PSN anywhere.
