I posted a link for that collector's edition on the last page. It hasn't been confirmed or denied by Gearbox/TakeTwo so far. If it's real, it's going to be insanely expensive.
That GTTV footage also confirms it: gold pistol. Right at the end. Yes.

Oh it is real, nice. I was waiting for a more solid statement.
Just justify it by telling yourself that your "cost/per year in development" is so much lower than buying the even a normal edition of any other new game*.
I wish my house had a fireplace. That would so be on it.
That's the only thing that came to mind when that collector's set got confirmed. Somehow, I need to get the funds together to acquire that. I have never put money into a collector's edition before, because they're pretty useless, but this thing is gaming history.
What a waste of an opportunity with Jon St. John. First of all, if you're making a parody skit, remove the 10 second intro that tells the audience that they're about to watch a comedy skit. Second, make sure you're funny.
He was way too excited about playing with poop in a video game.
You're not excited enough
You know, that doesn't bother me so much as the fact that this game will have extreme violence, poop, and most likely poop related violence, BUT what bothers me is that there will be parents protesting this game for the pixelated women and sexually suggestive themes. "Here Johnny, have fun with your guns & poop simulator and... WAIT WHAT WHAT WHAT??? There are blurry boobs in this game! Our children are going to Hell! Everybody call your Senators!"

A few years back, on another site, I read an article pertaining to Gears of War. In one of the comments, there was seriously a guy who asked if the game had any swearing in it because he wanted to play coop with his young daughter and wanted to ensure that it was appropriate. This is referring to a game where you can bisect someone with a chainsaw, in case you forgot. He was completely serious.

That was my biggest problem with the Janet Jackson thing. "What? That man just pantomimed sexually assaulting that woman. Yawn. Oh wait, as a result of his mock sexual assault, her nipple was exposed for half a second. HOW DARE SHE EXPOSE HERSELF!?" *facepalm*

Wow that interview makes me super excited. It feels like we are finally getting future of gaming that Half Life 2 promised us, a fully 3D world full of interactive environments and atmosphere. (Which DN3D and Trespasser initially promised.) Then corridor shooters came along... Then to hear that Half Life inspired the puzzles makes me super happy. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'm pretty sure they're willing to take some of your money now. I mean, they're willing to take preorders when the game had no release date whatsoever, let us not forget. Ask slash.

I think I'm going to break my "buy everything on steam" trend and pre-order this. I still regret missing out on the Bioshock 2 Special Edition artbook. Artbooks are my big weakness, especially if they show things that didn't make the final cut.
Here's to hoping that the bust turns out better than the Arkham Asylum batarang. :P
Given how long I've waited for this....I think I can do with a CE for a bit more. Those shots of Duke in the interim period (winning two Emmys, or something like that, winning the UFC championship, or something like that, going into space, climbing Mount Everest, etc.) sold me.

Jon St. John is great, he's even doing work for the Duke Nukem 3D : Reloaded mod/game/update/thing.

Can anyone confirm/deny that the Duke bust is the included paper craft and not actually a model?
