No it matters, you have to divide the moon phase by your character birth date and add the number crystals of the opposite element that you're holding to find out the type of rodent though. (shards don't count, unless on a prime # day)

Well that just goes without saying.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if people did actually start believing that in this one. With the little elemental ring in your stats corresponding to the correct direction.

"Straw that broke the camel's back" is actually better wording on my part. Granted I only played it for about a half hour but man, usually even MMOs regardless of quality endear me somewhat in the first half hour.

This is sort of misleading if I understand the system correctly. You can redistribute X number of points every X minutes. So like, if you have a hundred points invested and it's 15 mins per 20 points, you have to wait an hour and fifteen minutes to unassign all your points.

    Is that about right?

I keep seeing this "15 minutes" comment everywhere. My point reallocate button would only light up about once an hour, and generally took 5 points out of every stat and let me reallocate.

On caster stats - depends what you're doing. Vit is "important" if you're doing a lot of soloing, but if you're fighting blues/easy greens then stoneskin and shock spikes should limit how much you really need. Mind is mana pool as well as magic defense, so it increases your longevity - more mana overall, and more mana back from tranquility.

If you run into a situation where you start running out of MP then yes you should consider putting points into Mind, but so far, between crystal uses, TP abilities and the 10 minute restoration both mage classes get, I've yet to run out of MP.

Maybe on long raids or something, but that's a while from now.

Yeah, and the worst part is you can't just immediately reallocate or the next time you reassign you'll just get those same points back. It's frustrating because it means that in order for me to switch to archer I would have to wait like 20 years to reassign all my points. DoW-DoW switching or DoM-DoM switching probably won't be so bad, but switching between a DoM and DoW? Yeah. Just charge me a respec fee, my time is valuable.

Well, yes and no. The more MND you have, the less often you have to hit the crystal to recharge. Tranquility gets more effective as you get more mana.

It's still worth assigning the points. It takes points out of every stat, so as you reassign points you're taking them out of the stats you don't want and into the ones you do regardless.

Well, what I'm saying is, I've never had to go back to the crystal specifically to refill MP. You get crystal uses with the completion of leves as well, and so the main situation where you would be burning a lot of MP (large group leves) gives you free refills a well.

There just isn't a lot of use for mind right now because of that and the fact that so little deals magic-based damage.

I'm partly convinced having an active combat leve seems to make crashing happen more frequently.
At this point I still crash from time to time, but the average time it takes to crash has been getting longer and longer, so it may be that they're actually actively working the bugs out.

In other news, I've decided to go ahead and stick with Beef Supreme, saving the name on three different servers.

Was there ever a real consensus on what server the PA folks are running on? Also, what time zone are you guys generally playing in? I may switch to Gyshal due to that supposedly being where a lot of Australian players will be headed. I could easily be swayed to go somewhere else, however.

Black Mage and White Mage make me lolz. I expect fun times ahead. If only the 22nd would arrive sooner. I really don't need to get my beta guy above 12Pug/18Phy, because every experience point obtained will make it hurt all the more when they delete him.

Also, in regards to someone reserving Gristle McThornbody, if you tried and couldn't get Slam Squatthrust or Roll Fizzlebeef, it's because I took them in addition to my main guy Siegfreid. Gotta love MST3000. :P

In regards to jumping in WoW. It's not frantic energy. It is one thing.

    Night Elves.

The damned random chance that you'll do a flip when you jump. Trying to get a chain of flips together. It forever got me into the habit of jumping for NO DAMNED REASON in games. I just periodically would mash on the space bar as I was running around.

It was even worse ifI happened to just be hanging out in a town or talking on vent. I would literally do laps while jumping.

Lack of jumping is just fine with me. SE even came out and said straight up that the idea of jumping around constantly was odd, It's not something people regularly do.

From a technical standpoint it also offers greater control over where players go, and how they interact with the environment.

Don't get me wrong. I understand people love their jump, Just posting my viewpoint on it.
