I trekked all over Seattle for the PAX XP game, and all I got was this lousy pin
So, without going into a rant about the stupid amount of time I wasted doing that dumb punch card thing, please let me warn you. Don't waste your time. The prize is a nickel sized piece of plastic.
Alright I wanna bring up the law... you know THAT law.. It's takes a lot of money to get T-Shirts for about what, 2 or 3 THOUSAND people? It gives attendees a chance to explore the CON and it's bigger size in its entirety; though the prize could be a shiny treasure chest filled with corei6 processors or T-shirts, don't blame them, they're just trying to add more awesome to PAX. Also, I didn't even know about that secret addition to the expo hall until the punch card led me thus far.
And remember the keynotes, always try and take the risk of failing; maybe you'll do good, maybe not.
I'm pretty sure the thing said upfront it was a lousy piece of plastic (zipper pull, if I remember). Sure, it's not outrageously cool, but screaming "Freebird!" at people picking a song in Rock Band is.
Doing a front flip into SUMO beanbags is worth way more than any t-shirt I could get. It's a fun little game to get people to see thing they normally wouldn't see.
Oh, and if you want to rant about something, try the WotC metagame. JESUS CHRIST that's hard.
