DAY 3 UPDATE:
Well that's it... the sadness has all set in and we've all flew, driven, or trained our ways back home.

My final input: The last buttoneer trading depleted my supplies, it was great though!

DAY 2 UPDATE:
With Day 2 done and the short day 3 underway, PAX is almost to a close :(. Let's review what has ocurred thus far...

CAUSE THAT'S WHAT I WANNA DO!: Paul & Storm AND JoCo WERE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, you've seen awesome for the first day. What did you think, any suggestions on booths to go to? Star swag locations? Epic loot to show off? Post/Pre-Panel thoughts? How did day one effect YOU?!

Oh oh oh, me first!: Keynote was a more of a Disney panel, but I was happy with it either way (that 2nd part of the intro is going to give me nightmares). Concerts RAWK'd!!!!!!

    I arrived at 7:15 AM
and this year, the line seemed MUCH faster than last years (even though I had arrived earlier).

I spent time: looking arround at stuff, spreading word of the PAX Pokemon League, pokewalker swapping, Portal 2 Watching, Paul and Storm worshipping, Mega64 paneling, Mario Karting, People watching, and food eating.

tomorrow, it's a bum rush to DNF.

    Feet are killing me.

Penny Arcade Q&A was fantastic, but the high point of the day was "Of Dice and Men", quite awesome.

Guild Wars 2 was good, SWTOR was good, Epic Mickey was good, Super Scribblenauts was good, Donkey Kong was good, Kirby was good...

I'm assuming Duke Nukem is too, first thing i'm going to tomorrow.

The big companies have some reallly cool booths but I like to spend most of my time looking at the indie and smaller games to see what's up. And yes, Protomen were awesome. Also liked checking out the card and board games... fun watching the demo tables.
Can't wait to wear myself out during day 2.

Apparently it starts with a tutorial on how to pee in a urinal. Should be interesting.

Was amongst the last people to make it into the Dragon Age 2 booth. If you can make it and liked the first game, try to go. It was epic.

Day 2 is now underway, got any mid-con statements? Or any comments from yesterday?

'cause I do!: Just got my face painted... I wonder if it will hide my horrible ugliness.

Loving: SpyParty, Fallout Las Vegas, freeplay Rockband 3 out in the open area, NBA Jam (so awesome).

Don't bother with the nightmare Harmonix booth where you take a number then wait around for it to be called even though they keep letting unticketed people play and don't make any effort to group people up into bands so it goes faster.

    Retrograde is also AWFUL.

Lego Universe keeps going down and even when you wait for it to come back up and then play through the first island they will tell they "don't know what you are talking about" when you ask for the button to collect for the 5/8 badge collection to get a collectible.

Was I the only one disappointed in the keynote yesterday? Who cares about disney? Mainstreaming gaming certainly does have it's advantages, and it's drawbacks. but either way, I felt like I just got conned into waiting 90 minutes in line for a marketing campaign.

if that's all you got out of it, well you're doing it wrong. try and listen. it was an amazing speech. if you can, listen to it again, and think.

Yeah, "B for Business" beat me to it. The keynote was fantastic, I'm a huge, proud geek and I've often been annoyed with the elitist geek mentality.

Oh, I agree. I just wish they would have started on time, and it was a bit challenging to see...I wonder if they can get it in the main hall next time... :)

I especially loved the woman playing the male dwarf. My wife plays a male dwarf in our D&D campaign, so it definitely hit close to home hehe

Hah, someone I know owes me a drink.

Had a great flight home, time to clear a shelf on my display shelving for PAX 2010 and set my goodies up.
