Day 2 - Murder Most Foul

Headline News - Murder Spree Scares Londonites!
    by: Langdale Pike
The grisly murder of the previous night had shocked the genteel folks of high society, but four more murders the following night would spread gossip as far as Paris, France. Scarlet Ringlet (Ringo) was found with her throat ripped out, inside her pack in the seedy side of London. Her body looked as if a beast the size of a horse had taken a few bites out of it, but Inspectors from Scotland Yard were unable to locate any paw prints surrounding the shanty.

Another whore was found, spread eagled in a dark alley with her throat slit and genitals mutilated. Rumors of a serial killer are already spreading amongst the citizens of London. In what was a bad night for ladies of the night, a third prostitute was beaten and left to die amidst trash and filth outside a spike where dockworkers and members of the local gangs are known to hangout. Displeasure for services rendered is assumed to be the impetus for the beating. It is not known if Miss Alegis will survive her wounds.

In other news, the well known friend and trusted partner of Sherlock Holmes was severely injured in a shoot-out with a gange of well-armed goons. The ambush took place at the corner of Baker Street and 4th Avenue just after sunset. The good doctor and Mr. Holmes were set upon by their assailants in a hail of gunfire. Several citizens were slain by the pitched gun battle. The timely arrival of coppers in their armored growlers drove off the goons.

Mr. Watson is not expected to live through the night. Funeral arrangements pending his death will be handled through the esteemed gentlemen of Harkin's Mortuary.

    The Dead
Ringo (Toffer) - Throat ripped out and body mangled by bite marks of an unusual size
Dunadan019 (Toffer) - Throat slit and genitals mutilated
Alegis (Ladybird) - Beaten and left to die amidst trash and filth
Notch (Dr. Watson) - Killed in a shootout with well-armed goons

So apparently we get to vote on who gets their throat ripped out. Neat!

    So it looks like:

    Ringo - Vote
    Duna - SK
    Alegis - Vig
    Notch - Mafia

How about Demurist. The possibility that Notch intentionally or unintentionally revealed that she was an important special to him would explain the mafia target.

so Duna being genital-mutilated means Jack The Ripper

    that guy loved that shit

we had a vote, mafia has a kill, Serial killer has a kill, and the vig has a kill

    Teucrian's thing looks sensible enough

excuse me while I fill my after-breakfast pipe and muse awhile

Clearly you need to read more Sherlock Holmes. I hear the Baker Street resident finds it quite an add to cognition.
It's amusing how some parts of the stories could never be done today. I especially like how one of the first paints a pretty large religion as a tyrannical cult.

It seems no one is safe, and Hell itself boils up onto the streets of the city I love. Danger comes from so many directions I do not know how best to guard myself, and it seems Moriarty himself - who else would brazenly order an assault on Holmes and Watson on the streets, and who else would succeed were so many have failed? - moves openly against London.

Nah this is the start of the work week for a lot of people after a long weekend. Well Americans anyway. So no one has really had time to investigate. Not that there is a lot to go on with day one voting and no real clear bandwagon.

Teucrian is a good lead. An even better one would be finding out who has a vendetta against Notch. Since I haven't played with her much, I don't have that info.

Does anyone know who has a grudge against Notch?

Why bother? In the end whoever is Holmes will just show up an make us all look foolish by explaining everything in a big block of exposition.

Yeah. Notch and I have a strict, "No talking about phalla IRL" policy. While Teucrian is certainly a goose, I doubt he is mafia.

Jdark is pinging my radar. He was moderately active yesterday but "forgot" to vote. It could've been too many cervesas on the veranda, or it could be he was preoccupied with mafia proboards. Though he did back me up just now...

Withholding my vote until something good pops up.
