I have a habit of just dropping smoke on packs and using the sniper rifle as a bangstick between jumps. Very few SR kills for me are at more then 15m. Sounds silly but I've gotten solid results.
Guys I have an itch that warframe can't scratch and that's carrying a heavy machine gun or mini gun. There's also the itch of deploying a field of turrets and watching them mow down enemies.
This game looks like it can help, from a glance at the wiki. Just wish it had more pictures.

Yeah, it can help. Depends on your preferences. I think it is fun, but I roll my eyes at nearly every decision they made in the art department. Your mileage may vary.
...and when you are done with that; take a folding
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.

Where do rocket turrets come from? I can't seem to manufacture them with engineer abilities.

Various voucher vendors. Shantytown has em I think for 22ish.
Afaik thats currently the only place to get it, so you'll be stuck with a level 22 ability if you want to keep it.

Ugh there are vendor only recipes? How obnoxious! Well it would be less obnoxious if there were any ares missions from the boards that were as nice to run as world events.

I still think of it as first person Starcraft... The old fonts used to reinforce the impression.

Thumpdump has level 10 weapons with special secondary rightclick usages.

I think this game is first/third person Starcraft with a mix of all the above named games in the thread title.
Speaking of, @Suriko should come and see how active the thread has been of late.
Edit: Also, it looks like Rally can't be procced by Siphoning Unit. This is disappointing, since there's like one module that can self-heal outside of the HKM (which absolutely does proc it, and basically for the full duration... in addition to being basically god mode because it heals so fast) that isn't the relatively useless Emergency Response (100 heal? 100. Even a level one frame has twenty times that. Am I missing something? That vulnerability gas doesnt' cover much area, so...).
The servers seem to be getting fucked right now, they're saying not to log out or you can't get back in, you can't login right now, etc. If you're ingame dont log out for a bit until its taken care of.

It's also the worst mission board as well if I remember correctly, as in the most annoying/un-fun missions to actually run and gives the least amount of tokens per completion, and requires the most tokens to buy anything.

The other area that is the same level range as thump dump is just as annoying. Most of the job board missions send you right back to Thump Dump.

Yeah, I got really annoyed by that until I realized both vendors used thump dump tokens. At first I thought it was just giving me a different areas token half the time.

Uh, I got a pair of purple quality bunny ears from something. should I just sell these, or what?
also, should I convert my crystal stuff to credits? What are credits for? So far all things I've seen have used crystals or commendations.
Check the market to see how much the ears are going for, price will probably go up for the first few days of real release of the game.
Don't convert to credits unless you want to buy something on the auction hall, that's all credits are used for. The rest of the game uses crystite (research, npc vendors, crafting)

Yeah I checked the market and there wasn't even a listing for them. I onno.

They seem to be used for very high level manufacturing too, not sure. They are used for instant field resurrections though, so don't keep them on you if you don't intend to accidentally use them for that.

As an example, you need a token amount for the level 25 LGV.
While I stand by my assertion that its pants on head retarded for the stock of a gun to have higher dps then shooting, its still amusing to catch a fresh spawn before ai kicks in.
Well, and like a billion materials. Save all your mats, kids, you're going to need them.

Kinda surprised how cheap the wreath was.

I also killed a giant boss tonight in Blackwater normal that was like a Star Wars AT-AT rendered as a spider with nukes coming out of it's face hole and some seriously crazy AoE mechanics and seeker missile barrages. Took me 45 minutes to solo. Got 3 blues and a bunch of other loot.
Looking forward to maybe trying to do it again with more people, if just to make it go faster, especially since the story mission has bugged at completion of this part and doesn't want to register my success in there.
I'm still hunting for the necro plasma cannon, R36, and AR if you want to hit it later tonight (EST). Really starting to long for some mission runs.
Last couple nights in bordem /frustration with dredge board missions. Not clear if you going to get stuck with escort/defend phases. Defend missions there are like trying to defend a hydrogen filled balloon from guys with flamethrowers... Escort can get interesting if the target teleports to the final destination as well.
Yeah mission 8 can be completed in 20 minutes or less by a competent team. Its pretty crazy to do though. Lots of running around screaming and being shot at.
I have the necro xbow (750dps) and the grenade launcher (1250dps) - what the hell? Anyways, I'm up for it, because I want to get the sin impressions....all 5....20 times, so I can get the sweet ass battleframe paintjob. I'm usually on as Shaenera.
Okay, so I've been thinking about what type of character I'd like to play.
For those that have played the Battlefield games in the past, which frames are like the Support (with the LMG) and the Medic classes? Is that the Dreadnaught and Biotech? Basically, I like putting out a lot of brass down range and/or helping get comrades back in the fight.
I seem to recall that there was dissatisfaction with the Biotech frame though. Or was I mistaken?
Biotech is medic, Dreadnaught is 'tank' with a gatling cannon. Anyone can revive, and the advanced versions of the Biotech (Recluse/Dragonfly) can use the base class abilities as well. The recluse is all about poisoning things, I've not played the dragonfly.
