Re dragonfly: I hear this complaint a bit and I just feel like people are doing it wrong. Cooled skills with cool down reduction and aoe mods. Play that shit like a wizard. Poison ball, heal ball, heal wave. Rifle is just there to pick off what's left and knock things away.
Huh. Appear to be stuck where I can't get on the Armored Transport out of Copacabana. When I closed the game, it said something about a non-fatal error? Maybe that was the issue. Either way, a fun first night, but I think I'm good for now.
Ugh, lucky devil. Dropped $100 USD trying to get those and only got a really huge pile of cosmetics, and a 1-Day VIP (woot?).
All but 6 were from the slot spree...
It was on my last gold token too! I won a ton of battleframes too, so I just traded those for credits, so I got a pretty decent conversion out of my red beans in the end anyway.
+1

I wish we could use whatever gun Chosen Snipers use. That thing is awesome.
Demons tusk second phase push complete. One more to go. Probably take a while as things are more buff and the total we need will probably be higher. First was 15k, second was 50k. Probably 100k for the third.
Get to 40 and get helping! Area is pretty damn nice.
You make it sound like getting to 40 doesn't take 100s of hours.

I... I did it in about 35. 1-40 dragonfly.
So what I'm saying is no?
Maybe you should post a leveling guide then. 34 hours got me to level 25.
Not too bad if missions actually spawn. Had a glorious 450k exp hour from ~2230 to 2330 EST where ares missions/events were spawning during the constant chat crashes. Hope it was a bump in spawn rate and not just resets on server.
Granted before they merged glider cool downs it was nothing to have 3-4 finished missions on notifications constantly.

Yeah, 7 hours in and I'm level 8. I started the game at level 2.
EDIT : ACK! This had posted last night, but it saved in my drafts. I thought perhaps it hadn't been posted, but Darmak's note below revealed it to me. Deleting.

Leveling guide? Okay.
1-6 copa jobs and missions.
6-10 north shore jobs and missions
This part takes about 2 hours. Less if lucky!
11+ hit up trans.
16 time to jump in to power grab
18-24 is risky business.
Five hours max if trans jobs screw you.
24? Well darling you grab one of those exp boosters out of the bean shop because you've probably made enough by selling off chitin to afford one or two. Grab three mooks who know which end the gun goes and hit bwa like it owes you money 280k to 380k per run with a boost.
Roughly 13m total to hit 40.
Take out the roughly 2m you've already made and that means about 36 runs of BWA.
A full group should finish it in 15 to 20 minutes. Duo about 35. Solo I could do it in about 48.
Now of course you could just go till 37 then head to dt which should cut out like 9 runs.
So roughly 35 hours if you decide to solo BWA every single time because your army sucks and won't help and you hate people enough to avoid pugs.
What I liked about BWA is you can get right up into the trees and stuff with your jump jets. As a Bastion, I could hide out and send out turrets to do my dirty work, while raining down grenade-y hell on them, and sitting on a support platform I'd spawned.
If level 24-40 is grinding one instance then I'll probably take this game very slowly
That's probably a really efficient way to do it if you're going by XP per hour but it sounds awful to me. I do them a couple times because I like going through the story but that's about it.
Some people seem on the fence about the Job Boards but I recommend it. Every one of them is fully voice acted (with varying quality), some continue as you play the game, and I've never had to grind through them to get your levels if you mix in with Ares as much as you can.
Thumping seems to suck now but might be a good way to make CY. Make it killing mobs, you get drops from mobs, and refining gets you more CY. The actual mats are pretty worthless though.
Just please, please don't play one instance 80 times. I doubt there's enough "end game" at the moment to justify the rush unless this is your sixth frame or something.
So I played this a bit last night, I tried it out in beta a long time ago. I'm just having an issue with the shooting feeling very empty. Is there a frame I can play that has a bit more oomph to it? I played the dreadnaught and then assault frame and neither one seemed to give me a lot of bang for my buck.
Wasn't super happy that I never got character creation options and seemingly had to buy those options.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

Mission finish is 100k with vip boost, just how much are siphon towers giving? Been mostly solo with a 40 to end (~20 min) and swap for extract so I'm rarely watching.
Hate to go back to bwa for all my playing but sounds like that might be the way to go. Missions in serato are a crap shoot and it will take 3 strait hours of p3 thumping to hit 28...
Downloaded this last night, gonna check it out later. I was going to dive in this morning because it's my morning off, but then I had to go into work unexpectedly RIGHT when I was about to click "launch."
Stupid adulthood and capitalism making me do things I don't want to do. :P

On the plus side unexpected OT, makes for a nice bonus to toy budget.

There are character options at the "New You" station right next to the SIN tower you're sent to after you finish the tutorial bit, but there was no guidance to it. Overall it seems like they did most of the things I hate about character creation in these games, hopefully the game itself is fun.
Yeah when I went to the new u it wanted to charge me red beans to change my look, maybe the one hair style I chose randomly was a paid option and there were none paid ones, but it wasn't encouraging.

Map of the BWA achievement to unlock that paintjob, if anyone is interested. Only have to do it 20 times!
