Gallente has the best SC. Minmatar has the best carrier, although they are all good in their own way.
are you high?
Minmatar caps: because training mixed tanks and mixed weapons systems is so much fun.
Carriers are for triage. The nid is best at triage. You don't have to train any weapon system, let alone 2 for a carrier so pretty sure that's a moot point.
carriers are for a lot of things, triage being just one of them, also a lack of cap transfer is BAD
I'm currently bereft of any MMO since permanently kicking the WoW habit (into fucking orbit, but thats another story...).
DCU was great until recently, and only stopped being worth the sub fee because i'm waiting for more power sets; gameplay is still fun, i've just done it all before.
If I'm still in MRCHI, great. If not i'll wait a little while before re-applying. I've got an urge to roam space being a dick and I don't want to sully MRCHI's participation record any more than it is right now.
Couple days of dickery would feel real good right about now...

I figured I'd resub because I'm a hopeless game addict, but I have shit to get done and EVE leaves you massive blocks of time where absolutely nothing is going on. Also, I now have some dumbells I use when sat at loading screens, and with the waiting times in EVE I will probably be Brock Lesnar within a few weeks. Play EVE and get into shape everyone!
Also the Quafe Zero thing interests me, will I still get mine if I start my trial this week? Or would my account have to have been active on the day EVE turned 8? In any case, it sounds like there's scams related to Quafe Zero going on already; people selling a Quafe Ulta as Quafe Zero for instance. Only in EVE. Does anyone know what Quafe Zero is selling for? I've heard figured between 2 and 200 million, and either would be a good boost to my starting penniless noob money.
Also also, is it worth doing the tutorial? Do I get any free stuff for doing so? Only I seem to remember it being the longest, most boring tutorial in the history of time, so if I don't get free stuff I'm skipping it.

minmitar subcap supremacy is not up for debate, it is an established thing
All of which you will abandon or sell when you make the move to 0.0
Now then, never said I was going to join MerchI
Last time I played I was in the GMT timezone and no-one was on when I wanted to play, and the fleet ops were at 2am (when are fleet ops again?). Now I'm in Aus, and will be online a few hours before and just after downtime, so that may change things somewhat, but I almost instantly regretted moving to 0.0 right off the bat. No newbie ships on the market, no cash to buy the ones that were, and generally fuck all to do as a newbie but salvage or mine. Or come ratting with someone who has a real ship and be, as someone called my rifter, "an extra drone". I'd like to make some ISK with the safe haven of empire space around before I move to nullsec.
Also no offense, but MerchI didn't seem like a corp that has a lot of co-operation going on. Obviously I don't have much to compare it to, but as far as I could see it was all pretty much a bunch of guys doing their own thing in the same chat channel.
Is there a way to move Command Centers on a planet in PI? The nice dark red spot I landed in is turning green and I'd like to move over to the other, darker spots.
Right now I'm making Oxygen, which is good for a POS fuel (so there's always a market). Not sure if I'm being efficient or not. Will probably try something more complex once I get Rank 4 in all the PI skills.
Also: Easiest way to open a planet in station mode? I've been going to map, right click on the solar system, info, bodies, scroll down to planet, right click, planet mode. I'd like to think there was an easier way, but :ccp:.

It's been a while, but IIRC you can just open the Science menu and there's a Planets tab with a list of your planets.
If anyone else is resubbing, there's a 30-day free trial available at http://eve.win-rar.com/. I posted this in the G&T thread too.
Of course I found this out just a minute ago from someone in the ingame newbie help channel, so I guess I'll be restarting again tomorrow to get my 16 extra days. Will give me time to think of a name that doesn't suck. Preferably starting with "M". I'm tempted to go with "Slab Bulkhead" or "Fridge Largemeat" but I'm sure the hilariousness of those names would wear off fairly quickly.
Just keep all your processors and launchpads ect at minimum distance connections, and spread out the extractor pins (heads) from that central base w/ ECU.
You'll end up having to change around the positions of the heads anyway as hotspots are depleted and replenish.
e; many times you'll absolutely need to pull the ECU away from your 'central area' just to get a fresh area for mining, even if it means sacrificing a few heads, the boosted gains are usually worth it.
well, the key is to find a spot for your ECU that is within reasonable distance of 2 or 3 resources,or at least 2 or 3 hot spots, so that moving extractors isn't necessary. This takes a bit more scanning work ahead of time, but saves a huge pain later. 'cause yeah, if you have to move your ECU a large distance, you're better off tearing down and rebuilding your launchpad too.

On paper I'm cap stable with the Salvagers off. In reality I was dropping pretty low with the NTypes, AB, and MAR on, not sure if it was going to go stable later on, didn't want to risk it.
Was able to take out a group of 3 500k BS and 1 Jamming Cruiser. Wasn't even in any danger. Haven't tried anything bigger yet.

If you are using your carrier to delegate fighters the racial type is irrelevant.
If you have your carrier in a sanctum you deserve to lose it, but a thanatos is best.
If you are using it for fleet fights you'll be either repping supercapitals or capping them up at midpoints.
No ship outreps a nidhoggur. Archon or Chimera are the only feasible capacitor transferring carriers.
Thanatos is so you can fly a nyx later.
Conclusion? Fly a nidhoggur if you want to be useful in fleets and hate your life

Ok, game has changed quite a lot. And apparently the station walking stuff they've been talking about since forever is actually due out pretty soon! Does CCP operate on Valve time, or can we actually expect it this "Summer"?
Also... attribute remaps. Looks like learning skills are no more, and atts are boosted to compensate. And everyone starts with the same atts and has to remap them, which is a bit weird but ok then. I'm told a good plan is to go Int / Mem, get all the support skills you need, then switch to per / will a few months down the pipe. Seems like a good plan; my Brutor always felt short on int last time around, and all the good skills seem to take int / mem anyway. It'll leave my ability to skill up ships / guns a bit impaired though, so is there anything in particular I should skill up while my skills are nice and balanced? I'll probably never have CHA this high ever again, are any of the trade skills worth it?
Also, are any Minmatar battleships any good? I hear their caps are a bit weak, but does that include battleships?
*Edit* By caps I meant Capital ships, sorry zeroqwest.
well they don't need cap to fire their guns. The Maelstrom is blob-fleet standard doctrine at this point. It usually goes Mael>Drake>logi>everything else...or something to that effect. It's known as the "Alpha-Mael".

If it's a sub-cap, odds are the best ship in that class is Minmatar. Also the Nid is the best carrier and the Nag is vertical so their caps are even pretty good.

I hear there is some JB nerf that you duders who hold space are upset about. I also hear blops has recovered from the "Elitist Ops situation" and has now been rolled in with GS recon or some shit, and is being run by elite space captain Slim Mat. I don't remember him at all really (ie he never logged in), but if the jb changes actually go through, there could be a definite return of the blops play style, which is pretty awesome.

Fake blops is being run by TheAdj actually. Give it a couple months though and the real blops (delvegoons) will end up joining PL anyway.

Yeah, but you can start PI at the start of your day, then come back right before bed and restart it, etc etc. So it's a nice passive income stream.
Really? The scan results are showing less Noble Gasses where I have everything set up now. So they don't change?
Won't that mean a really, really long road from the Extractor CU (only have the one right now) -- with a bunch of wasted cpu / power for the road?
