wasn't too bad. I'm using Terra on Normal, and didn't die once. Do you fight him again where he's tougher, or are people just having a harder time with him on higher difficulties?
Did you know your config settings don't transfer over when you start a new character? I was wondering why there was so much slowdown and muted colors during Ven's story mode.
Also, I wasn't imagining things: Aqua does jiggle during cutscenes.
It isn't DOA bad, just a bit surprising considering how tight-assed Disney has been with the KH series. Originally they wanted her outfit modified for NA on account of her back being bare (even though like 80% of Disney girls dress the same way).
Oh my god, you guys weren't kidding about Terra's last boss. Holy shit, I think after the first lifebar all of my hits came from blocking or countering.
I finished the Castle of Dreams with Ven yesterday, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the awesomeness that ensued:
I just beat up the cat from Cinderella with a magical key/sword hybrid that spews fireballs and whirlwinds all for the sake of getting a pearl to finish up her pretty pink dress so she can go to the ball and meet Prince Charming.
Game. Of. The. Year.
As limiting as the Command Decks are at the beginning, once they open up and you have more room to merge and mix skills together the combat becomes deeper than any other game in the series, which is great. Right now I have Aqua rolling with a trio of decks based off of FFXIII combat roles (Commando for primarily physical attacks with a debuff spell or two mixed in, Ravager for pure offensive magic and Saboteur for chiefly status-inflicting spells like Slow, Bind and Poison), and it's amazing what you can do with the right tools for a given fight. Great stuff.

Blocking and countering was the only way I was able to survive the fight as well. Are these games really marketed for kids? Some of these battles reach DMC levels of hardcore.
Seriously, I'm lacking so much in decent commands for Terra. It's all magic and nothing else, and I don't want to farm because if I overlevel the rest of the game would be too easy. Stupid drops. Ah well. Hope I'll finish Terra's story quickly and can move on to Ventus - I don't like playing Terra all that much...

Thats what the command board is for. You can level up your commands and get new ones. Doesnt even matter if you win too.

I guess... it's just that I'd rather not spend more time pimpin' out Terra than I did Aqua, if only because if there is an epilogue, I fully intend to not play it with Terra. And the command board takes a while. But I think there's no other options, really, if only to not bore myself to death by using the same basic commands forever...
I like the board game. :-p Also, I am addicted to melding commands. I like this game, because I went from going, "Oh, it's an analog stick, not a mic," with my new PSP to pwning faces with Zero Graviga within a few hours.
And (early boss fight):
The magic mirror fight was so suburbly creepy. This is what Disney/Squeenix mashups should be like.

Eraqus. Most of his attacks are pathetically easy, but he has one that's really annoying - the straight stab once, and again, and again and again, and again. Because if you miss your dodge there, you're in for at least three stabs (it usually doesn't actually lift you in the air enough for the Air Counter until the third) - which in my case, it's basically game over

They're way too intense for required battles. Like if that was an arena fight I'd understand, those are supposed to be difficult. But this was a required battle on standard. That was probably the hardest story fight since Larxene or whatever her name was in CoM.

The fact that Terra handles like an elephant doesn't help, I figure. Because Aqua's last fight was really, really easy (tip for bosses: Triple Blizzaga is wonderful for a one-slot spell).
In other news, caved down and went for the command board. I must be the unluckiest son of a bitch ever - I only managed to set down three commands in 15 turns. Friggin' dice :P.
Ok, so I finished both Terra and Ven on Proud mode, starting Aqua tonight. But first I have a question regarding Ven's ending:
Ok, so what the fuck does Vanitas have to do with Sora really? Hurr hurr has the same face, but what is the actual connection? We see Sora does exist in Terra's timeline since hes running around with little riku on destiny island... so what the hell is up with Vanitus?

Could be...
Sora's heartless? I mean, his nobody somehow went back in time maybe he did too.

Remember that bit at the very beginning with Ventus, on Destiny Islands?
and after I beat him, it said I learned Bladecharge or something. But I can't find that anywhere in any of the menus. There was a similar thing earlier where I learned something but couldn't find it. What's up with that?

Yeah for some reason they don't put it in the menu where you edit commands, even though you can get to both abilities and finishers from there. It's not very convenient.
Yeah I really wish they were more clear on the command styles. Like having in the ingame commands show some sort of indication for what they link to or something like that.
This board game might be more fun if the computer didn't obviously cheat.
What do you mean? I've played it probably a dozen times now and only lost once. If anything, the computer is fucking stupid. I've won at least one or two games because the computer bought one of my tiles when I was near the "finish" button and the profit bumped me to the "win" score and I won in the next turn.
Blarrhghglahghbgl! I keep hearing about how BBS is the most technically thought out and combat-fine tuned KS game ever made and then I KEEP REMEMBERING HOW ITS ON PSP ONLY.

I thought it was that
Ven's heart enters Sora so that he becomes a part him and that includes his dark side Vantitas and would also explain why Sora's nobody looks like Ventus.
So for the secret ending do you just have to do it on one file, or all of them? Do you have to have at least one clear file for each character that meets the requirements is what I'm asking I guess.

I figured it would be that, so I guess the system data just looks for 3 files that meet all the requirements. So now I have to debate whether or not I should restart Terra down the line on Proud to lessen the requirements. Hmmmm.
Holy hell, I want to kill something. I'm on what I'm pretty sure is the last boss with Terra, and I've had my ass handed to me numerous times. ON FUCKING NORMAL. Once I had him down to his last bar of health (it took what seemed like forever to get to that point), and that gave me hope, and I was all NO WAI I'M GONNA WIN and the game was all HAHA NO YOU DON'T BITCH

And yet Ariel gets away with a clam-shell bikini. Disney hypocrisy at its finest.

It's to snag as many sweet Commands and experience points for those commands as possible.

Dammit, I was hoping it was just a separate addition I didn't have to mess with.
