If you don't have Spyro the Dragon yet and don't pick it up for $3, you are a Taste Criminal and the police will be there within the week to apprehend you
Tons of God of War stuff: Ghost of Sparta, GoW 1&2 HD, plus DLC, avatars, soundtracks and shit, I dunno there's a lot of it.
Blacklight: Tango Down and, holy shit it's a fucking real thing, Castle Crashers on PS3.
PSP gets Ghost of Sparta, obviously, Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley, ZHP, No Heroes Allowed, Ys Seven... and a demo for Split/Second, ok.
Centipede is the PSOne game.
DLC for Dead Rising 2, Fist of the North Star, Front Mission: Evolved, FIFA 11, MoH, Modnation, HAWX 2 Rock, Band 3 and lots more.
The most interesting thing this week, for me anyway, is MUBI, which is a movie streaming service that focuses on indie films, I guess.
So I tried using the video chat through my PS3 for the first time yesterday, and it didn't go so well. I could see and hear my parents fine, but my parents couldn't hear us at all and saw this (don't worry, it's pics of kids, not dicks):
You can see their PiP of themselves in the bottom right. That's how they looked to me, and my PiP of myself was also fine. Their cable internet speed is pretty fast (6Mb/s down 1.5Mb/s up). Our DSL, not so much (2.2 Mb/s down 0.31 Mb/s up) according to speedtest.com.
Does that kind of pixelation seem like internet connection speeds not being able to handle it, or did I have some setting wrong, either on my PS3 or theirs?
Would someone who also has an Eye be willing to try to video chat with me just so that I might be able to figure out if the problem is on my end or on my parents' end? (Again: kids yes, dicks no.)
Has anyone heard anything lately about the Magic: The Gathering game (Duel of the Planeswalkers?) that was supposedly making it's way to PSN? I can't find any articles...or mentions of it, really...that aren't almost a year old at this point. Everything says "Fall 2010" but here it is November already.
Thanks dantree and Diarmuid for posting the breakdowns of the updates. Again, sorry for not doing the NA one, but it was after midnight EST when it went up (I believe) and I couldn't cut into my precious little sleeptime. So, God of War Collection and Hoard for NA and Castle Crashers for PAL finally. And everyone gets Ghost of Sparta, thankfully.

Fort Commander II: Counter Attack – This is a tower defense/strategy game in which players attempt to conquer opponents’ strongholds via brief battle sequences. From a bird’s-eye perspective, players deploy small characters on a grid to fight enemy units. Sword-clanging sounds and brief cries of pain can be heard during battles.
Not a whole hell of a lot unless there's a surprise. Also, Knights in the Nightmare comes out for PSP, and I imagine it'll be on the store as well. Hopefully.
I honestly have no idea, Smoke. What's TATE anyway? Google-fu is failing me, I think.
TATE mode is when you place your display on it's side, thereby replicating the vertical orientation of some arcade displays (mostly vertical shmups), like this:
Instead of displaying a vertical image in a horizontal format, like this:
This way you would have a larger view of a vertically oriented game like Tetris, as opposed to having large bars on each side of the playfield.

This may be of interest to some of you, Grandia is due to be made available on the PAL store tomorrow.
Awesome. They've been trying to get it up for months, nice to see it's finally ready. Bit stupid that it's more expensive than normal PS1 games though.
BFicky: I'm no expert but my first guess is that your up speed is to blame for the pixelation. Just as a point of reference, due to some work being done by my ISP my down/up both hover around 0.5 Mb/s. This speed doesn't hamper say co-op Dead Rising too much but good luck trying to browse youtube or tv.com.
Edit: Pretty sure I have you on my friends list from Uncharted if you want to test out the camera. I don't have a PS3 camera but you can do video+voice one way and just avatar+voice the other. Unfortunately will have to wait until I have my normal down speed to do a proper test.

Probably because it was on two discs. Compared to the price of Final Fantasy VII and VIII, I'd say it's about par for the course, leaning slightly towards expensive.

There are demos for both PSP God of Wars on the PSN. If you like the demos and like the PS2/3 versions, you'll probably like the full games. I think they're great fun.
A Hoard demo would really be nice. I'm wanting to check it out myself, but it's the same deal with a lot of the games that come out at $15; just really hard to do that without playing it a bit or -knowing- it. (In the case of like, a remake or something)
Crash Bandicoot – Sale (PS3/PSP) (now $2.99, original price $5.99) **Part of the PlayStation 15th Anniversary Sale
Punisher: No Mercy – Sale (PS3) (now $4.99, original price $9.99)
Jeopardy – Sale (PS3) (now $4.99, original price $9.99)
Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost And Damned – Permanent Price Drop (PS3) (now $9.99, original price $19.99)
-(PS3) Crescent Pale Mist ($5.99)
-(PS3) Demos for Apache Air Assault, Apache Air Assault
-(Bundle) Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype Complete Bundle ($14.99)
That's about it. I didn't know there was going to even be a CSI game, but, there you go; a demo for it. Also not listed is a few free DLC packs (For Eyepet, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Just Cause 2), and the Knives DLC pack for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.

There've been other 2 disc games that've had the normal price but I guess that's a decent explanation. I'll still try buy it even if it's just to support good PS1 releases but it's not ideal, I was already going to be pretty poor this holiday season.
Are the PSP God of War games any good? I've enjoyed 1, 2, and 3, and recently come into possession of a PSP.
Are they like GoW-lite, or pretty great on their own?
Chains of Olympus was really short but completely awesome. It introduced some of the control changes that showed up in GoW3, as well as the Cestus.
Ghost of Sparta I've got sitting on my charged PSP waiting for some downtime in between sessions of Fallout new Vegas but reviews and impressions are really positive so far.
I have no real idea, but I know for most people, the answer is "Too Late".
Way to miss the bus, guys. It's a shame, but, oh well. If the game's good enough, it'll stand on its own merits despite being released after the obvious time for a Zombie game to be released.
Speaking of which, if you guys could get together a few other "Upcoming Releases" games, maybe a screen or two of them and post them in here, I can get to work on adding that part into the appropriate section in the OP, since I've been a little lazy lately. I know Dead Nation and Journey are going on it, but a few more might be nice. I could just grab a few that I know are coming out, but I'd like to list what you guys are interested in, so the best way for me to do that is by asking!
Sony seem to have completely given up on finding new and unique indie games to publish. The only ones they seem to publish these days are ones internally developed or ones from developers they already know (specifically thatgamecompany and Q Games). Pity too, that was one of the most appealing things about the PSN a couple of years ago.
PSP gets Smackdown vs Raw 2011, NBA 2K11 and Street Cricket Champions.
As mentioned yesterday, Grandia is the PSOne classic.
Minis are 3, 2, 1… Supercrash!, Fort Commander II and Jewel Keepers: Easter Island.
Inconsequential DLC for Eyepet, Front Mission: Evolved, God of War 3, Hustles Kings, Just Cause 2 and the usuals.
There are temporary deals for TMNT: Turtles in Time, Cell Factor, AC2 DLC (PS3) AC:Bloodlines, EndWar, Chessmaster (PSP) and Mystery of the Crystal Portal (Mini).
Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley (PSP) gets a permanent price drop after one week on sale, maybe there was a mistake?
MUBI is now available in more countries and the UK gets a LoveFilm video streaming app today.
Grandia and maybe Crescent Pale Mist (I know nothing about it) apart, it's all a bit bleh.
