Ugh seems it was a cox routing problem causing all the grief for folks last night seems to be fixed today.
Just a heads up though for those of you who haven't tried out MAG the demo pretty much gives you the whole game your just capped at level 8. Probably the longest I've ever played a "demo" since the shareware days. With all the DLC being free thanks to PSN+ I'm almost tempted to pick it up on the cheap since it seems like its still got a small but active player base.
MAG was amazing back in the day. The gameplay's been patched and changed significantly over time (talent trees totally redone, addition of neutral maps, the like) since I was really into it, but I imagine it's just as fun.
One could tell it was Zipper's "fun" game compared to their "duty" game in the SOCOM series. And it does a lot of things, even outside the absolutely massive battles, that I wish other shooters would crib and rip off. Very much worth a try.
Someone at Capcom said that BoF4 was approved for the PSN, but 3 wasn't. Don't know when it'll show up though.
But...why? They own it lock stock and barrel? Is Sony holding them up?
The only thing I can think of is that the PSP retail release of BoF3 is preventing them from rereleasing it as a PS1 classic. Since BoF4 never got a PSP retail release, it doesn't have that problem.

Not in America it didn't. SoA cockblocked that, like many other games, for no good reason.

As an American, I know this all too well. Still, it's the only explanation I can think of that even slightly makes sense.
It's not quite on-topic, but I had to post somewhere about how fantastic the Pelican Dual Triggers (or Real Triggers as I've heard them called elsewhere) are. I picked up two pair for $8 at GameStop and they completely rectify my qualms with the mushy, flaccid R2/L2 triggers on the DualShock. Love them.
On-topic, I saw that Fancy Pants Adventure is on sale for $5 for Plus members, is the game any good?
Yep, same developer, same sort of game. Having only played Kingdom for Keflings on XBLA Akimi Village is the stronger product. It does a better job of explaining things and introducing new stuff at a decent pace. Also, being a newer game, it looks a little nicer graphics-wise. There's no bad guys or time limits, and it's very micro-management intensive. I'm having a good time with it, but if you want conflict and/or challenge then something else may be a better investment.

But Microsoft are publishing on XBLA and I haven't heard any mention of a PS3 version at all.

I'm not sure where to mention this, but it seems like the new PS3 update is now blocking PS3s from reading import DVDs. It's no longer reading my (live action) Sailor Moon discs, and they're imports. They worked before the update, no doubt.

Your PS3 is trying to protect you.
Yes. I agree...the problem is that you're trying to watch live action Sailor Moon. This...this needs some PM time and counseling
And assuming it's the typical Microsoft XBLA contract, that means it'll be ~6 months before they can port it to PC (Microsoft obviously huge supporters of PC gaming) and ~12 months before they can port it to other consoles. Assuming they want to anyway.
But *shrug*, it's only Double Fine.
Anyway, Mogs! Upcoming releases in the OP is crazy out of date. Back to the Future, BG&E HD, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Clash of Heroes HD, Outland, PixelJunk Shooter 2 and Under Siege are out. While Rayman: Origins is no longer a PSN/XBLA title anymore.
There are a bunch of games I can think of that can replace them but I'm way too tired to put them in the proper format. So for reference there's: PixelJunk Sidescroller, PixelJunk LifeLike, Papo & Yo, Amy, Bejeweled 3, Payday: The Heist, Eufloria, Mercury Hg, Rainbow Moon and Dyad.

Screw you guys, Live Action Sailor Moon is fucktons of awesome.

Maybe in a MST3K sort of way.
I think he might be talking about the triple X versions of the show.

Someone best summed it up in three words: pure guilty pleasure. It'd take a diehard SM fan to tolerate that show's silliness. Like Zoisite being a pianist and Motoki being a turtle fanatic.

Whoa, so my American PS3 can play PAL DVDs? I never knew that.

Neither did I
Good to know, since my Hogfather DVDs have otherwise gone completely unused. (I bought them purely because I got the case signed by Terry Pratchett, and it came with a little pouch of prop teeth from the film)

We actually had a group of 5 running on Friday. Brought back some good times.
